As reported by Justin McMullen from WKYC Studios, the 2024 Pan-American Masters Games have landed in Cleveland this summer, drawing athletes from over 50 countries. Over the next two weekends, these athletes will compete for medals in 24 sports, with events taking place across Northeast Ohio.

This year’s Pan-American Masters Games feature thousands of athletes aged 30 and above, with some contestants as old as 100. Organizers anticipate this summer’s event to be the largest international gathering in Cleveland’s history. The games aim to promote friendly competition and embody “perseverance, vigor, health, and vitality at any stage of life,” as stated on the event’s website. Importantly, all competitions are free for spectators to attend, encouraging community engagement and support.
