BEDFORD HEIGHTS — As reported by Fox 8 News, Bedford Heights police are investigating a fatal shooting after a vehicle riddled with bullet holes was discovered on Interstate 480 over the weekend. Authorities responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on I-480 westbound near the Aurora Road exit on Saturday morning. However, upon arrival, officers found the scene of a shooting and a deceased male inside the car.
Also reported by Fox 8 News, the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner later identified the victim as 19-year-old Johndiel Sanchez Rivera of Cleveland. FOX 8 footage from the scene revealed approximately a dozen bullet holes in the passenger side window of the vehicle.
Police Chief Michael Marotta confirmed that detectives are actively investigating the case, but no arrests have been reported at this time. Authorities have not yet released additional details about potential suspects or motives.
