GARFIELD HEIGHTS, OH — As reported by WKYC Studios, in Garfield Heights, two teenage brothers have transformed a simple idea into a thriving business. Encouraged by their mother to be more active, they launched The Trash Boys, offering trash pickup services. What started as helping a senior with her garbage bin quickly expanded into a full-fledged business, including trash can washing, yard cleanup, and moving assistance.
As word spread, the brothers gained recognition and are now finalists for a National Entrepreneur of Impact Award, with a chance to win $25,000 and be featured in Forbes. Beyond their growing business, they are launching Turning Trash into Triumph (T.T.T.), a nonprofit initiative aimed at guiding young boys away from crime and towards mentorship, responsibility, and hands-on work experience.
Their story is a powerful reminder that small efforts can lead to big change. For Bedford teens, The Trash Boys prove that ambition, kindness, and hard work can turn any idea into success—whether it’s a side hustle, community service, or a future business. Their journey shows that it’s never too early to make a difference.
