The City of Bedford has released its February 2025 newsletter, providing residents with important updates and reminders about city services, upcoming events, and safety measures.

Presidents’ Day Closure

City Hall will be closed on Monday, February 17, in observance of Presidents’ Day. However, there will be no changes to refuse pickup schedules.

Snow Removal Policies

Residents are reminded that a parking ban goes into effect whenever snow accumulation exceeds two inches. Additionally, homeowners are responsible for clearing sidewalks of snow and are encouraged to keep fire hydrants in front of their homes accessible.

Power Outage Reporting

Residents experiencing a loss of power should contact 1-888-544-4877 (1-888-LIGHTSS) to report outages.

Water Department Survey

The City of Bedford is asking residents to participate in an Ohio EPA-mandated inventory of all water service line pipes connected to the public system. Homeowners should check for lead pipes and then complete the online survey available at https://bedfordoh.gov/service-line-material-survey. A QR code is provided in the newsletter for easy access.
