BEDFORD, OH — According to Cleveland 19 News, a man accused of a fatal shooting in Bedford earlier this year has been arrested, according to U.S. Marshals. The suspect, Tyrell Chandler, was wanted in connection with the March 7 killing of 31-year-old Clarence Houston. The incident occurred around 5:50 p.m. near the intersection of Northfield Road and Rockside Road.

When Bedford police arrived at the scene, they found Houston, a Cleveland resident, unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a black Ford Explorer. Emergency medical services transported him to MetroHealth Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities have now confirmed that Chandler was taken into custody on Wednesday in Bedford Heights. His arrest took place on Bear Creek Drive, and a K-9 officer from the Bedford Heights Police Department played a key role in the operation.

The successful apprehension of Chandler highlights the collaboration between the U.S. Marshals’ Northern Ohio Violent Fugitive Task Force and local law enforcement agencies. The swift support from Bedford Heights Police was instrumental in securing Chandler’s arrest.

This development brings closure to a months-long investigation into the shooting death that shook the Bedford community. Chandler will now face legal proceedings related to the fatal incident.
