Hello Everyone
Our Electricity Workers (utility line workers, substation technicians, and engineers) are very important to everyone. They are the heartbeat of municipal infrastructure. They generate, transmit and distribute power while performing hazardous high-stakes work in extreme weather to ensure that homes, hospitals, and traffic networks remain safely operational.
The responsibilities and importance of these professionals are as follows:
– Outage Response & Disaster Recovery: They are on the front lines restoring power after severe storms or emergencies, often working extended 16-hour shifts to bring communities back online.
– Grid Modernization: They install and maintain complex smart grids, renewable energy, and electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, to meet the growing demand for modern power networks.
– Public Safety: They mitigate hazards, repair fallen wires, and safely manage high-voltage systems to protect citizens.
– Local Community Support: Municipal utilities emphasize not-for-profit, locally controlled services, meaning these workers keep costs low and are highly accountable to the people they serve
Electricity is the foundational energy service of modern society. It instantly powers essential daily tasks, drives global communication and technology, sustains critical healthcare services, and fuels both industrial production and transportation.
So why is public power important?
Public power utilities are community-owned, not-for-profit electric utilities that provides low-cost electricity to more than 54 million Americans, while protecting the environment.
So, everyone, our electricity workers are very important to all of us. Without their expertise as line workers, substation technicians, engineers, etc. we could not function. These professionals need recognition for keeping our power systems operating. They risk their lives also working to keep electricity working daily and during emergencies.
So, I say much thanks to our dedicated Electricity Workers. Thank God for their expertise.
Don’t you agree?
“Electricians are the superheroes who restore power during the darkest of times.”
Enjoy the Summer
Love & Peace
