There are stories happening throughout Bedford every day — at our schools, on our sports fields, inside local organizations, at community events and among the people who call our city home. The Bedford Tribune wants to make sure those stories are being told, and we need your help.
We are looking for more Resident Reporters to contribute news, stories and updates from around the community.
Right now, we are especially interested in expanding our coverage of Bedford City Schools. There are countless accomplishments and activities taking place throughout the district that deserve recognition. We would love to hear from parents, grandparents, students, teachers, staff members and other residents who can help us share them.
School contributions might include sports scores and team updates, student or teacher awards, classroom projects, club activities, concerts, performances, special events, academic achievements or simply something positive happening at one of our schools.
But you don’t have to cover the schools to participate. We welcome stories and news from throughout Bedford, provided submissions follow our standards for respectful community discourse. If there is something you think your neighbors should know about, we want to hear from you.
No journalism or writing experience is necessary. We can help you learn how to put together an article, develop story ideas and prepare your work for publication. You don’t have to commit to writing every week or even every month. Contribute when you have something to share.
And there’s a little extra incentive: every article you have published earns one entry into our monthly drawing for a $25 gift card. Publish one article and receive one entry. Publish four articles that month and you’ll have four chances to win.
The Bedford Tribune is a community newspaper, and we believe some of the best people to tell Bedford’s stories are the people who live, work, learn and volunteer here.
