Bedford residents will have an opportunity to provide feedback on proposed recommendations for the city’s updated Master Plan during a public open house on Wednesday, October 14, 2026, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Ellenwood Community Center, 124 Ellenwood Avenue.
The City of Bedford is working with the Cuyahoga County Planning Commission to develop a new Master Plan, replacing the city’s previous plan, which was last updated in 2007.
The Master Plan will help guide future decisions about land use, redevelopment, community amenities, and economic development. The planning process considers current conditions, community priorities, and opportunities for future improvements.
Bedford was awarded professional planning services through the county’s Community Planning Services Program in March 2025. Work officially began in July 2025, with completion anticipated before December 2026.
The October 14 open house will focus on proposed Master Plan recommendations. Residents who attend will have an opportunity to review the proposals and provide feedback as the planning process moves toward completion.
