This is an ongoing issue per the caller. The male has mental issues. An officer spoke with the male involved. He stated that the female had since left. Dispatch contacted the female, and she advised that she was OK and had left for the evening.

The caller says her three kids were chased by someone with a gun 15 minutes ago. The suspects in a dark gray Nissan kept saying “what’s up” to the children, and the kids took off running. There were at least three people in the car. The vehicle then tried to locate them before leaving the scene. The juveniles stated that it was a firearm due to the way he was holding it. It was held to the ground and never pointed at any of the juveniles. Officers checked the area, but were unable to locate the vehicle

The complainant went to let her dog outside. When she got back inside with the dog she left her door open and her screen door shut. As she was feeding her dog, she noticed two young juveniles standing in her foyer. Both juveniles saw the dog and ran out of the house. The complainant confronted the parents of the juveniles. All of the adults said the children were playing in the drive but never entered anyone’s apartment. Due to the age of the juveniles, officers advised them to stay away from the complainant’s home.

The caller reported that towards the end of the street, people are shooting fireworks at each other across the street, hitting vehicles parked on the street. The caller is afraid they may hurt each other or damage the vehicles. The area was already checked, and they were advised to stop setting off bottle rockets.

The victim sustained a laceration to her left wrist and a scratch on her neck from a stranglehold on her. The affidavit was returned indicating probable cause for the arrest warrant. The warrant was prepared and signed by the victim.

The male was transported to Marymount Hospital.

The ex moved all of her property out of the apartment last Thursday but still has her key fob to the building/room. Officers previously contacted the ex to return the key. The male was advised to contact management about reprogramming the key fob.

Officers spoke to the caller who stated she met up with a male who wanted to buy her car. The male test drove the vehicle and decided he wanted to buy the vehicle. The male told the caller to follow him to the US Bank on Broadway so he could get her a cashier’s check. The male went inside and came out with an envelope and stated it was the check. The male then stated he knows a notary so if she signs over the title that he will get it done at a later date. Once the male left with the vehicle, the caller opened the envelope and realized the male just gave her a receipt for the $13,000 and not an actual check. Officers were requested to go to the bank to see if they can get any info for the male from the checking account or video of the male in the bank.

A young boy, about 10-years-old, is stuffing toys into a book bag. He is running towards the park on a skateboard. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the suspect. The complainant requested we advise the male not to return. He was advised to contact the police if the male comes back to the store. The total loss was approximately $15.

A male stated his vehicle was repossessed and taken to the dealership by an unknown repo company. The male claimed that when he went there to retrieve some belongings from his vehicle, items were missing. The male stated his lockbox, which was located inside the trunk, contained his Social Security card, medical cards and $2,415, all of which were missing. The male also mentioned that his pistol was stolen from his vehicle. The male did not have any proof of ownership for the firearm and was advised to attempt to find paperwork for it. An officer spoke with dealership management who stated Morgan Towing repossessed the male’s vehicle on 6-21-2021 and towed it to North Coast on the same day. Due to the vehicle being locked and Morgan Towing not having possession of the vehicle keys, an inventory of the vehicle was not completed. The manager stated that on 7-1-2021, the male responded to North Coast with his aunt to retrieve his property. According to management, inside a garbage bag was the male’s belongings from his vehicle. The male checked the bag and was satisfied, but never mentioned to employees that a firearm or $2,415 was missing. The North Coast manager then stated the male opened his lockbox in an employee’s presence but did not claim anything was missing at the time. North Coast management had the male sign a mutual rescission agreement in which he did so willingly.

The complainant came on station to report threatening text messages received from his girlfriend’s father. His girlfriend and him are going through some relationship issues. She has texted her father about it. The father was getting upset with the complainant and started texting him. He stated that he would be able to send someone over to hurt the complainant. The complainant is not too worried about the father coming to the apartment due to him living in the Columbus area. The complainant wanted the incident documented in case he did send someone to beat up or try to start issues with him.

The caller states her 11-year-old son is assaulting her. Officers arrived and were able to calm down the juvenile for the time being. The juvenile was advised to stay away from his mother. The complainant was advised to contact his social worker for assistance. The mother advised she and her family live in fear when her son acts like this. She states she locks herself in her room at night for fear her son would hurt her in her sleep. She asked to press charges, however, when she was advised she would just need to pick him up when paperwork was complete, she decided she would just bring up the incident with the social workers at a scheduled meeting tomorrow. She advised her son became irate when he was asked to leave the bedroom and he began to tear up the home. She also stated that he made threats of violence towards her and himself during the altercation. She asked that the incident be documented for the social workers.

The complainant stated she met a photographer and agreed to have compromising pictures taken of her. She is not sure where this took place, but she believes possibly in Ravenna. Today, the male contacted her on her cell phone via text messages. He was upset about something she said to another photographer about him. He stated he would not hesitate to contact her sister in Columbus and reveal how she uses sex for money. The complainant stated she is talking to her therapist about this and will make another report if he continues to bother her. An officer spoke with the male on the phone. He was very uncooperative, stating he is being harassed by the complainant. He also stated she is running a prostitution ring from her apartment. The officer advised him not to have any contact with her anymore. He refused to listen. He was advised to contact the Ravenna Police Department with regards to her harassing him.

An officer was flagged down by a male driver who reported that while traveling west on Columbus Road a rock struck his vehicle. The male stated he believes an unknown person(s) threw the rock at his vehicle, but no parties were located. The male also stated he did not observe any person(s) as he was driving. The damage to his vehicle consisted of a dent to his driver’s door and a scratch. An officer made contact with a resident on Columbus Road who advised her Ring camera did not capture the incident. No other cameras were located in the area. An officer also checked the area and did not locate any other parties involved. At this time, the incident will be documented.

A caller is reporting that someone took her purse from her car while she was inside the store. Officers spoke to the two females who stated their purses were taken by an unknown person(s) while they shopped at Dollar General for five minutes. Their vehicle was parked on Broadway Avenue and unlocked. Phones and some cash were left in the vehicle, but those items were not taken. One purse was tan, and the other purse was black and white. Inside the purses were their identification and some credit cards. Dollar General does not have cameras facing outside of the business. The females were advised to contact their bank to cancel their credit cards.

The caller states he left $20,000 in a rental car and they are stating that they don’t have it. The male stated he drove straight from his mother’s house to Enterprise Rental Car because the car return time was almost late. In the front passenger side floorboard of the vehicle, he placed shoes over a black bag that contained the cash. When the male returned to the rental vehicle after speaking with employees inside, his shoes and bag with the money were missing. The vehicle was parked on the east side of the building. The male asked employees to see security camera footage and they were unable to show him any further video. Employees present at the time when the male returned described him as being “not panicked”, not upset, and laid back about the situation, and they felt that was odd based on the circumstances of his complaint.

The police department later spoke with the female who stated she was in the back of an Oakwood ambulance. The dispatch called Oakwood and confirmed that the female was being transported to the Bedford Medical Center.

Officers responded to the residence for a report of a disturbance involving a male with a knife. The person reporting, the male’s mother, advised her son is acting strange and is holding a knife in his hand. Officers made contact with the male by ordering him out of the residence, to which he complied. The male was sweating heavily and appeared to be disoriented. The male also had numerous self-inflicted lacerations to his arms that he stated occurred on 07/10/2021. Officers requested EMS and treatment was given to the male. The male advised he was not suicidal. Officers spoke with the mother who advised the male did not threaten her or the other male on scene. She also stated at no time did the male become physical with any of the parties involved. The mother advised the male had a friend over, and shortly after the friend left, the male became paranoid that someone was outside the residence and began having an episode. The mother and the other party on the scene stated they did not want to pursue any criminal charges. The male refused to be transported by EMS and agreed to calm down to keep the peace. It checks OK at this time.

The female recorded the phone conversation and she believed he may have said, “I’m gonna beat your a–.” The female played the recording in officer presence and no threats could be heard due to both the female and the male talking over each other. The female stated she cannot block his phone number due to needing a form of communication for custody exchanges. She was advised to contact the police if the male happens to make threats directed toward her in the future.

An officer spoke with the complainant. He advised that at approximately 0245 hours, two unknown subjects attempted to break into the rear door of the residence. One of the suspects broke the glass on the back door, possibly with a pipe found at the scene near the door. The complainant yelled for them to leave and the subjects fled south through the woods. A laptop was left on the back porch that did not belong to anyone within the residence. Photos were taken of the property and they were entered into evidence. Dry blood was observed on the laptop and swabbed. On the login screen of the laptop, a username was found. The listed male was found within the city as a possible owner; he was not yet contacted.

A male wants to file a report against his child’s mother. The female was supposed to drop their 6-year-old child off at his house around 2000 hours. She dropped the child off at 1945 hours when no one was home and left the child. The male stated he did not want to pursue any charges at this time, but just wanted it documented for court purposes. The officer made contact with the mother who advised she believed the male was home but did not wait for him to come outside while she was present due to previous altercations. The mother advised she never intended to leave the child alone without supervision and was extremely emotional about the matter. At this time, both parties were advised that they could utilize the City Hall building or parking lot to complete custody exchanges. The child appeared to check OK.

Officers spoke to the caller who stated on 7/16/21, at 0615 hours, an unknown tall male parked in his neighbor’s driveway, walked over to his RV and stole the catalytic converter. The resident next door stated that she observed a gray Honda Accord pull up in her driveway. She also observed the male get out and cut the converter off of his vehicle. She stated she didn’t call because she did not realize what was going on before it was too late. Multiple residents have cameras but none of them were able to capture the vehicle or the male that committed the theft.

The pane of glass in the front door was reported broken. The male complainant stated he lives in the apartment next to The Treehouse business and found the front door with the glass broken out. Contact was made with the cousin who advised things are not OK and the boy in question is coming downstairs. She said she cannot remember what he is wearing, but he did have some backpacks with him. It is unknown if those have knives or other weapons inside. Officers spoke to the juvenile who stated he got into a verbal argument with his family. He admitted to officers about making suicidal comments. The male was transported by squad to the hospital for an evaluation with permission from the guardian.

Officers spoke to the female who stated that she wanted her son out of the house. She states that her son has been living with her for a month and she wants him to go to the hospital even though she does not have probate paperwork for him. She states the night before they got into a “tussle” over doing the dishes. When officers asked for her injuries she stated there weren’t any because it wasn’t that big of a deal. Officers explained to her multiple times of the eviction process and that they can’t force the male to go to the hospital for an evaluation if he is not making active threats to his own life or anyone else. Officers spoke to the male in the basement and he was calm and collected and blamed his mother for the argument. The male stated that he will attempt to find another place to go tonight to keep the peace. The female was not happy that officers did not forcibly remove the male from the house without reason, and stated she will call back later.

The text messages also contained messages calling the complainant different expletive names. The female also advised she has not told the grandchildren to cease contact. An officer made contact with one of the grandchildren, who was advised of telecommunication harassment which she stated she understood. She was adamant that her wallet went missing from the library, but added that it was located at a family member’s house in Old Brooklyn on 8/3/21. Spoke with the male who stated he is doing some odd jobs for the building owner. He could not provide any credentials. He agreed to leave for the night until he could prove he worked there.

Caller advised that the lady that lived at the above address told a neighbor that she could not afford the mortgage any longer and she moved out. Since then, there has been a lot of traffic in and out of the house, and there appears that damage is being done. The caller is not sure if anyone is supposed to be there or not but would like it checked out. Officers found that the house appears to be vacant and the exterior of the house is secure.

The caller’s ex girlfriend and her two friends will not leave the residence. They have been asked to leave numerous times. They just walked out of the house and now are throwing things at the caller’s windows. Officers responded to the listed address for an unwanted guest. The complainant advised she no longer wants the listed females on her property. An officer made contact with one female and advised her for trespass. The other female involved is to be contacted.

Just after 0600 hours, the caller’s security cameras picked up a young female walking through the caller’s backyard. The female made her way around to the front and was taking pictures and videoing the caller’s house. The caller has never seen this female before and would like to report her presence to police. The female appeared to be talking to someone on the phone before leaving. Caller was advised to contact the police if she returns.

A caller is reporting that her niece is in the driveway in her blue Chevy with her husband, and they are refusing to leave. She states they came there wanting money and are not wanted there. The male and female were advised they were not welcome at the residence. They agreed to leave and not return.

A male is causing problems at the store and yelling at the clerk. He is upset because she asked him foran ID. The clerk stated that her manager was coming in and that he has information about the subject and could access cameras. She was advised to call back if the subject should return, and she provided contact information for the manager if additional information could be provided on the subject.

Someone tampered with the caller’s door. She couldn’t lock her door. Maintenance fixed it, but it looked like someone picked at the door and the door had damage.

The caller is a pizza delivery driver. He attempted a delivery to this address and said he thought something was off. No one came to the door. The dogs were barking, and someone was looking out the curtains at him. They closed them back up once they were sure he was gone. The caller is positive he had the right address. The caller was evasive with his name and refused to give a phone number. Officers spoke with the homeowner. All appeared to be check OK.
