The Ohio Department of Transportation is putting forth a project to make various repairs on two Cuyahoga County bridges, including one in Bedford. One of the projects would include work on the SR 8 bridge on Northfield Road over Tinkers Creek/Broadway Avenue and the Bedford Reservation.
The other bridge work would be done on SR 10 (Lorain Road) over the Rocky River Reservation located in the cities of Cleveland and Fairview Park. Work will include making different steel repairs, painting various portions of the bridges’ steel and also making drainage repairs. ODOT will be using property from the Rocky River and Bedford Reservations in the projects. The Rocky River and Bedford Reservation are owned and managed by the Cleveland Metroparks.
Lane closures during construction will be required, however, traffic will be maintained through the area. This transportation improvement is scheduled for construction in 2023. The estimated construction cost is $2,630,000.
ODOT is seeking public input regarding this project. Comments can be submitted through the following link: SR 8 and SR 10 bridge repairs | Ohio Department of Transportation
