An officer spoke with the complainant. The complainant stated his license plates were taken sometime between 01/01/24 and 01/03/24. The plates were entered into leads as stolen.

Rockside Road (BMV)
The caller stated a male was walking in the parking lot and was struck by a vehicle. After he was struck, the driver of the vehicle got out and started punching the male. The male is conscious and alert. He is not bleeding. There are bruises on his face, however. The person in the vehicle left and went out of the parking lot. The male that was assaulted is sitting in the BMV and doesn’t need EMS. The male advised that this all started as a road rage. An officer spoke with the complainant. He advised that while stopped eastbound on Rockside Road at Meadowbrook, the vehicle behind him honked their horn at him, due to him not moving at the light changing green. He stated that he slowed his vehicle down and the vehicle followed him very closely into the lot of the listed address. The complainant stated that a male exited the listed vehicle and started yelling obscenities at him. The complainant attempted to film the male, and he smacked his phone out of his hands. The complainant then kicked toward the male, and the male struck him in the face. The complainant fell to the ground and then was struck several more times in the head. A worker at the BMV recorded a video of the incident and was able to capture the vehicle’s license plate as it drove off. The officer ran the plate and was able to find the other listed male as having operated the vehicle within the past year. The officer contacted the male via phone and he denied any incident occurring.

The caller’s 14-year-old daughter is hitting the male caller’s mother. She picked up a Christmas ornament from the neighbor’s yard and hit the caller with it. He is not injured. The caller told dispatch to get officers there before he hurts her. They are both outside. The female was kicking his car. He pushed her off the car on the ground. The daughter is not injured. She is now kicking someone else’s car. The female has something in her hand. The caller’s mother started screaming and is now not answering, The dispatch is still on an open line. The juvenile is now in custody. She damaged one of the vehicles. Police spoke with the vehicle owner, and the female does wish to pursue charges for damage to her vehicle.

The female advised her purse was stolen from her cart while shopping. She has been reviewing cameras with staff. The time lapse is at least 30 minutes. The store manager located the female’s purse in the pop aisle. The female checked her purse and all her belongings and personal items were still there. There was no theft; the purse fell off of a motorized scooter.

The caller states her 16-year-old daughter is on the scene causing a disturbance, and the daughter assaulted her. The daughter is now in her room. The mother advised officers that her juvenile daughter was attempting to fight her due to not wanting to do the dishes. The mother advised her daughter did grab her hair, but no injuries were caused. Officers spoke to the juvenile who advised she was upset with her mother due to her mother always making her do chores. The juvenile was advised of her mother’s complaints, and the juvenile was taken to her father’s residence by her sister to keep the peace. The mother was pleased with the outcome and was advised on how to file her juvenile unruly. The mother did not wish to pursue any criminal charges against her daughter at this time.

The caller advised someone has been making temporary tags using their account. The BMV is requesting a police report be made. An officer responded to the listed address and spoke with the complainant. He stated that on two separate dates, an unknown person created fictitious plates using the business’ information.

Rockside Road (Kia of Bedford)
Officers responded to a report of a disagreement between the dealership and a customer. The female was upset because her car was brought to the dealership to be repaired in September, and now the dealership is unable to locate her vehicle and will not allow her to drive the loaner vehicle she was given due to her insurance company not paying on it. Officers explained to the complainant numerous times that she could report her vehicle as stolen, but she would not be allowed to continue to drive the loaner vehicle, and that the business did not want her on the property any more. The female would not exit the loaner vehicle or leave the property for approximately an hour after being asked and told by officers to do so. The dealership was ultimately able to locate her vehicle at one of the other lots. At this point the female exited the loaner vehicle, but attempted to steal the keys for it. She was ultimately detained by officers and will be charged with disorderly conduct and trespassing.

The caller states that her granddaughter is arguing with the father of her daughter’s child. The caller does not know the male’s name. He is known to carry a weapon. The caller states that she can hear them physically fighting. The male has a protection order against him, and the female is the protected party.

Northfield Road (Bedford High School)
The complainant stated that she was in the drop off line at the high school and was partially in the driveway when a dark colored pickup ran into the back of her vehicle. The complainant stated that she looked in her mirror and the driver was a male with glasses. She pulled further into the driveway so they could make a report, when the other vehicle continued north on Northfield Road and turned off on a side street. The complainant advised that she was able to get the plate number from the vehicle. An officer obtained the plate and owner information and printed a BMV photo of the owner. The complainant stated that she believed the BMV photo was the male driver of the pickup. The officer responded to the listed address on the vehicle registration and spoke to the owner who stated that his son has the vehicle and is a student at the high school. The officer obtained insurance information for the report, and responded to the high school and located the vehicle parked in the north lot. The vehicle had minor damage to the front bumper and red paint transfer from the accident. The officer will issue a citation to the driver. The officer responded to the school and spoke to the driver of the truck. The driver stated that he was northbound on Northfield Road in the curb lane when the vehicle in front of him just stopped, and he was unable to stop before making contact. When asked why he didn’t stop, he stated that the other driver pulled into the driveway and he did not think that they wanted to do anything, so he went to the north parking lot to go to school. The driver was advised of the duty to stop and share information. He was issued a citation.

A young male came onto the female complainant’s back porch and asked to hide because of the gun shots. She told him to leave, and that she would not feel comfortable with him coming in. The caller is back on the line and states the male is still on her back deck.

Officers responded to the business for a report of an unwanted guest. The male complainant, the employee, advised the male was refusing to leave the property. The male was found to be EWW with multiple agencies, but all stated he should be advised and released. The male was given a courtesy ride home to his listed address. It checks OK.

Caryl Drive (Carylwood Intermediate School)
A dark-colored sedan with tinted windows is parked in the visitor’s lot next to the garbage. It is unknown if anyone is in it due to the time. The janitorial staff is nervous about dumping the garbage and wants the vehicle checked. The vehicle checks OK. The listed vehicle was found to be unoccupied, and the school staff was notified of the findings. The staff was advised to contact the police if the issue continues.
