Come one and all to Bedford Square for this year’s “Christmas in Bedford Falls” presented by the Southeast Region Chamber of Commerce. This annual treat is scheduled for Saturday, December 8, and will run from 12 Noon to 4 p.m.
As in previous years, this free holiday gathering has a lot to offer families, including:
- Free rides on the famous “Lolly the Trolley”
- An opportunity to visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Remember to bring your camera!
- A puppet show
- The “Polar Express” story read by our Children’s Librarian
- A visit from Balloon Bender
- The Children’s Craft Tent
- Open Houses at The Purr-fect Place (Valley Save-A-Pet) and the Bedford Museum, plus tours of the Dunham House. All are within walking distance of Bedford Square
- Santa’s Pixie Shoppe
- And much more!
You will be able to enjoy hot chocolate and s’mores with the Scouts of Troop 447 at “Scout Alley,” located behind Veterans’ Park along Broadway Avenue. The Scouts will also provide a fire to keep you warm and to toast marshmallows! Remember to bring nonperishable food items to “fill the truck” to help local food pantries and for creating holiday baskets.
The Girl Scouts will be present as well, and will be in charge of collecting pet food and pet supplies (blankets, toys, etc.). These items will be given to local animal shelters.
Along with the Scouts, the Bedford Fire Department will be collecting gently worn coats and new coats for those in need. The Cuyahoga County Animal Shelter will also bring a few of their “adoptable” dogs for you to meet.
