The Bedford City Schools Foundation is bringing an evening of fun, friendly competition, and community spirit to Bedford with its upcoming “Night at the Races” event, set for Saturday, April 25, 2026, from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Winking Lizard in Bedford Heights.
Designed as both entertainment and a meaningful fundraiser, the event will support scholarships for Bedford graduates. Attendees will have the chance to place bets on simulated horse races, creating an engaging and interactive experience for guests throughout the evening.
Admission is $50 per person and includes entry along with a selection of heavy hors d’oeuvres. A cash bar will also be available. In addition to the races, guests can enjoy door prizes and participate in a Derby Hat Contest, with a prize awarded for the best decorated hat—encouraging attendees to bring their creativity and style to the event.
There are also opportunities for additional involvement. Community members and businesses can sponsor a race for $100, which includes having their name printed in the program and announced during the event. Guests can also purchase and name a horse for $10, adding a personal touch to the racing experience.
“Night at the Races” offers a unique way for residents to come together, have fun, and directly support local students as they pursue higher education.
Online registration is available at www.bedfordfoundation.net/Events. For more information, interested participants can contact event organizers via email.
This event is expected to be a lively evening for a great cause—bringing the Bedford community together in support of its future graduates.
