The caller states his aunt’s boyfriend just pulled a gun out on his aunt. They’re in the living room. The boyfriend has the aunt locked in the house. He has not fired the gun. The male has suicidal tendencies. An officer sees the suspect at the front door. The male briefly showed himself by the front door but just took his dog back in. The female is coming out now. The male is alone inside the house with his dog (dog is friendly). SWAT is on the scene. An officer made contact with male via text. He is requesting some time to get ready and then will come out the front door. Per an officer on the scene, another officer attempted to make contact with the female. She is looking out the window and is in the crossfire. Per SWAT, the male is in custody. The house was turned over to the family.

The caller and her 17-year-old daughter are having an argument about when her daughter is allowed to move out, and whether or not the caller has to turn over her granddaughter’s birth certificate. The phone connection was poor, but there are a number of civil and harassing/threatening issues at play. There has been no violence involved. Both caller and her daughter have questions about their rights to property and the child’s birth certificate. The daughter was told to listen to her mother’s directions.

The caller advised that he and his mother got into a verbal dispute earlier tonight which resulted in her kicking him out of the apartment even though he is on the lease until 2/1/21. The male stated he has been outside for at least an hour and the conditions for him to stay outside are unsafe because of the snow and cold. The male does not have anywhere to go at this time. The male then advised his phone was on the verge of dying and he disconnected the line. The male continuously repeated he did not want to go to jail, and he just wanted police to call mom to let him in. Officers found no one outside any of the apartments.

The caller is being evicted by the homeowner. He says the homeowner is on the scene and assaulted him with a billy club. The billy club is currently on the couch. Officers responded for a report of an assault. The male stated the homeowner hit him with a billy club due to him not obeying his imaginary rules inside the home. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other as this is an ongoing problem and they cannot get along. The homeowner then stated he will be evicting the male in the morning.

The guy also texted threatening messages to the caller’s girlfriend. He believes that his nephew is behind it all. He did not know the guy on FaceTime. The complainant stated that he has been having family problems with his 19-year-old nephew. The complainant just wanted the information on file should any troubles arise from this.

Officers spoke to the caller who stated that her dog has been staying with her cousin for over a year because of problems occurring at her house. The caller states that the cousin had a girlfriend who he hasn’t been getting along with and moved out. She stated that when the girlfriend moved out, her cousin told her she could have the dog and the female moved to South Carolina. Officers attempted to call the female, but there was no answer on the phone. Officers left the female a voicemail to call back and to attempt to help solve the issue. Officers also explained to the caller that this is a civil matter and the caller stated that she understood.

The male has been known in the past to take knives and hurt himself. The caller separated herself. She is in a bedroom, but is unable to lock the door. The male had a knife when she shut the door. The male is now in the room and does have the knife. The male walked back out into the living room and was laughing in the background. The knife was thrown in a cupboard. The dispatch can hear the male telling the female to hang up. The caller states she can’t walk by because the male won’t let her. She is back in the bedroom and doesn’t have anything to put in front of the door. The male is whispering to the female to not get him arrested. The male is in custody.

Officers responded for a report of a domestic disturbance. The officers made contact with the female victim in the parking lot who stated her child’s father pushed her face with his hands over an argument regarding custody of their child. The female did not have any injuries, and did not wish to pursue any charges and just wanted a report documented. Officers then attempted to contact the male and a voicemail was left for him to call the police. The female was advised of her options concerning exchange of custody.

The female stated she received an unemployment form in the mail, and $1,861 was fraudulently claimed with her Social Security Number. The female contacted the Federal Trade Commission and the Ohio Department of Job Family Services to report the matter for further investigation.

A shopper reports three females and one male stole totes of merchandise and left the store out of the back. They left in a Corolla in an unknown direction. The caller is not an employee there. There was no plate on the vehicle. An officer responded to the listed address and spoke with the complainants. They stated the suspects entered the store and picked up two blue totes and filled the bins with unknown items and left the store without paying. The employees stated that their manager would check the cameras in the morning.

The complainant was upset because his son was throwing a temper tantrum about a doctor’s appointment tomorrow. The son was throwing water around his room and the complainant feared he would be electrocuted. Then the complainant stated he was struck in the head with a bottle of water. There was no visible redness or any marks on the complainant. The complainant then changed the conversation to previous incidents with the department and how officers have told him to move. He then stated officers came into his home one time without wearing any badges or identifying markings. The complainant was advised of his options for his son, and since no criminal acts were committed, officers left the residence.

The caller believes the male still has a key and used it to come into the house from the basement. Officers checked the home and there were no footprints in the snow around the house or any of the doors. The female was advised that it was unlikely anyone was in the home and was advised to change the locks.

The caller got irritated when dispatch tried to ask further questions, saying she’s just a concerned parent. The incident happened in Bedford Heights. The Bedford Heights police will be contacted.

A female is harassing the caller and her boyfriend on Instagram. The female is an ex of the caller’s boyfriend. She has been calling the boyfriend hundreds of times a day, making fake accounts with his name to defame him, and she gives his real number. The caller stated the female keeps harassing her because she is dating her ex and wants to fight her for that reason. An officer called the other female who denied those acts and stated she didn’t know the female. The female was advised to refrain from contacting the the caller.

A female is in the police department lobby with her 16-year-old daughter, who she says has been receiving picture messages from a pedophile. The juvenile stated that the 25-year-old male, who is a friend of a family member, reached out to the juvenile on instagram. After a brief exchange of chat, the male sent an unsolicited picture of his genitals. The male later erased the picture and chat from Instagram, however the juvenile took a screenshot of the picture. The juvenile told a cousin about the exchange, and he confronted the male who sent the pictures. The male then threatened the juvenile and her mother. The juvenile and her mother are both fearful that the male will become violent should they come in contact with him. Information was forwarded to the detective bureau for follow up.

The caller reports she got into a physical altercation with her boyfriend. She reports the male struck her in the face and damaged the windshield on her vehicle with a snow shovel. She said the male then left in the caller’s other vehicle that she allows him to drive. The victim wanted officers to speak to the male and have him return the vehicle and her house key. Officers were unable to make contact with the male. If the vehicle is not returned by 2/12/2021, the male will be charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, and the vehicle will be entered into leads as stolen. The next day the complainant came on station wanting to pursue charges for assault and criminal damaging on the vehicles.

Officers spoke to a female who stated that she believes her children’s father stole her firearm. The female states that she does not usually have contact with the male and does not live with him. However, she states when they met up for custody exchange, she let the male borrow a vehicle for two days. The female states that she keeps her firearm unloaded in the glove compartment with the ammunition inside the trunk. She states when the male returned the vehicle she noticed that her firearm and ammunition were missing. The female states that the male sent a couple of texts to her saying, “What happened to your gun?” The female states that she does not have any proof that he has the firearm and does not want the police to contact him in fear of him lashing out on her. The female said the male does have a picture on his Instagram with the handle of a gun sticking out of his pocket and she believes it may be her firearm. Furthermore, the female states that she purchased said firearm a year ago for $250. The female does not know where she purchased it from and does not have any receipts or information stating that it’s her firearm. Also, the female does not know the model, caliber or serial number for the firearm, and all she knows is that it is a black Ruger. The female was advised to find that information so officers are able to enter the gun into leads as stolen.

An officer spoke with a female complainant in the police department lobby regarding a male harassing her via Facebook. The female stated she met the male through a mutual friend and the male began to Facebook message her lewd photos and messages regarding their previous relationship. The female also stated she did have sexual contact with the male earlier that was consensual but has since told the male to stop this type of conduct. The female stated she wanted the incident documented and for the officer to contact the male regarding the communications.The officer spoke with the male who did admit to sending the female lewd messages and stated he believed it was mutual. The male was advised to stop all communications with the female which he agreed to do. The female was also advised of the protection order process and was advised to block the male on all social media platforms. No further police action required at this time.

An officer spoke with a male juvenile in the lobby regarding family trouble. The juvenile stated he and his mother got into a verbal-only altercation which upset the juvenile. The juvenile then left his residence and walked to the police department to speak with officers. The officer made contact with the mother, who was unaware of the juvenile being away from the residence, and she agreed to come to the department to pick up the juvenile. The mother stated she left the juvenile home alone while picking up her other child, and that the juvenile has been experiencing some behavior issues recently. The juvenile was turned over to his mother without incident.

The caller states someone drove into his fence. He has video of the incident on his Ring camera. He called earlier but was told to call back when he is home. A Dodge minivan was traveling westbound on Mapledale and the driver lost control of the vehicle, striking the fence in the front yard. The caller is unable to see any identifiable marks or characteristics on the vehicle from the video footage.

A female states that she got into a verbal argument with her boyfriend, and that he is trying to kick her out. She sounds very intox and out of it. History shows prior heroin and psychological issues. The female then kept saying she didn’t want the drama from police coming and would just try to deal with it another way. (Officers still will be responding.) Officers responded to the residence for a report of a disturbance. The female did state she lives at the listed residence. Both parties on scene were highly intoxicated. The male party stated he was willing to go to separate areas of the home to avoid further issues. Both parties were advised to keep the peace for the evening. Later in the evening, officers responded back to the residence regarding a disturbance. The female stated the male is continuing the verbal altercation and would like officers to speak with the male. Both parties stated the altercation was only verbal and appeared to check OK. The male then agreed to walk to his daughter’s home in order to keep the peace. The officer offered the male a ride to his daughter’s residence, but he declined. Both parties were advised to contact the police if the issues continue. No further police action is needed at this time.

The complainant called to report a physical altercation between two employees. The incident was recorded by the cameras on the building. The camera view shows the employees exchanging some words, and then one of the employees jumps from a truck and walks towards the other employee. They grab onto each other’s sweatshirts, pushing and pulling at each other. The supervisors ran up and pulled the two employees away from each other. One employee had a scratch above his left eye. No charges will be filed at this time. The complainant wanted a report of the incident.

She said a friend was with the child in the car but seemed unsure.  Officers arrived and talked to the parties. The child is going with the guardian.

The caller advised someone has been trying to break into her home for the last few weeks. It is unknown who it is. Last week when there was snow, the caller noticed footprints around the house. The caller’s girlfriend just heard voices and then the side door being messed with. This occurred about 10 minutes ago. The caller never saw anyone outside. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anyone. Officers spoke to the caller, and there was no damage to the house. They were told to call back if they hear or see someone again.

She was advised to contact the police should the male return.

An approximately 35-year-old female took an unknown type of pills.  The caller is with the Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services representative, who was here on a visit, and the mother said she took pills. The female suffers from depression. She is alert and breathing. A squad transported her to the Bedford Medical Center.

A deputy from Yuma, Arizona called the police department to advise that a male resident in Bedford was a victim of a scam. The deputy mentioned that the male has been sending money orders through USPS to Yuma for his “online girlfriend.” An officer contacted the male who stated he has never sent any money anywhere. The male also stated he has monitored his bank accounts and did not observe any money withdrawn. Later, officers spoke with the male again who was more forthright about the situation involving money. The male stated he received $2,880 from his online girlfriend in Ghana, who he gave his bank account information. The male then sent the $2,880 to a person in Arizona named “Rogers” via money orders, as directed from his girlfriend. As of yesterday, his girlfriend deposited another $5,000 to the male’s bank account, which he has not touched yet. The male was strongly advised to not share any bank account information with people he does not trust. He was also advised to close the bank account and to transfer it into a new account.  Officers spoke with the deputy in Yuma who stated “Rogers” was a middleman for a large money laundering scheme involving a political party in Ghana. The victim in Bedford was unknowingly laundering money. The case has been taken over by the deputy in Arizona. He will call if he needs assistance.

The person making the calls left a long rambling message on a voicemail and it sounded as if the male was intoxicated. The female has no idea as to who the male could be. The caller stated she was involved in an argument with her boyfriend when he grabbed her sweatshirt near the collar and swung her around. She advised he was close to striking her but never did. There were a few visible scratches on her neck which she claims was from when he grabbed her sweatshirt. The caller stated the arguments have never escalated to physical violence before, but she did not wish to pursue the matter any further at the time of report. There was also a vase broken on the floor which occurred during the argument. An attempt was made to call the boyfriend, who left prior to officers arrival, but his voicemail was full. The caller was advised to call the police if he should return and to obtain a protection order if she feels the need.

The male stated his sister opened a credit card account in his name without his permission. They used to live with each other. The sister explained that she and her brother agreed that she could make payments to him for the credit card when they lived together. She stated her brother is upset due to his credit score dropping. The male did admit he co-signed for a vehicle for his sister. She stated she is currently paying her brother for the charges. The male was advised to cancel the credit card and follow up with the credit company.

He did and then spoke to a foreign-sounding male who was able to trick the male into giving him his Social Security Number, and possibly his address and phone number. Neither person had any apparent injuries. Everything appears to check OK at this time.

The caller states that while she was looking after the kids, the female started having an episode and she called the case worker to inform her. However, they suggested to her that she get mental help before her kids are returned to her. The female was not happy with this suggestion but accepted it and will leave the kids with the caller for the night.

She was instructed to send $3,200 in gift cards to them in order to keep her account in order. She did send the gift cards, but later realized it was a scam. The police department contacted the “customer service center” she sent the cards to. A male answered the phone and refused to say anything about the complainant or where the gift cards were sent. The complainant was advised of her options and warned of scams.

The caller ended the relationship, and the texts started several days after. The female wishes for the texts to stop. Both were advised that the texts need to stop, or the caller will pursue telecommunications harassment charges if necessary/possible. The current texts make no physical threats. An officer could not locate any name for the provided phone numbers.
