Officers spoke with the complainant in the lobby who stated that her I.D., her debit card and keys to her home were taken. The complainant believes that the items were taken during a previous disturbance at her home by a female. Officers did not encounter anyone by that name on the previous call. The complainant states that last week she incurred a charge on her debit card for approximately $200. The complainant has already made contact with her bank. The complainant was advised this would be documented.

Rockside Road (Hyundai of Bedford)
Officers spoke with the complainants in the lobby who state in December 2021 their vehicle was turned over to Hyundai of Bedford Mitsubishi for repair of a blown motor. The complainant’s vehicle was to be repaired and returned to them on 2-20-22, but it was not. The complainant states contact was made with Hyundai several times inquiring about the status of the vehicle with negative results. Hyundai advised the complainants of issues regarding the approval of repair under warranty, eventually requesting the complainants pay over $7,000 for repair. The complainants advised the dealership requested they instead trade the vehicle into the dealership, which they refused opting to purchase another vehicle without trade. Hyundai now advised the complainant that due to several management changes, they are unable to locate where they placed the vehicle. The complainant does not believe the vehicle to be stolen due to it never being repaired. The complainants were advised this would be a civil case.

Between November 2022 and March 2023, an unknown person(s) fraudulently used the company’s banking account information to transfer and/or withdraw a total of $120,0000. The complainant, who is the owner, wanted the crime documented and a report generated so he could forward the matter to his bank.

A female is in the lobby to make a theft report. The complainant stated that she and her former partner separated today and that he took several items that did not belong to him.. She stated that he took a 70″ TV, a game system, a Dell laptop computer, and a Playstation 5 gaming system. The complainant completed a written statement and stated that she was going to wait to make an official report to see if her ex’s mother returned the items to her. Total value of items taken is $1,932. It is unknown who the owner of the property is at this time. The complainant was asked to check for receipts with serial numbers. The complainant was advised of this being a possible civil matter.

The male in the police lobby wants to make a report about a protection order. The victim of a protection order has been contacting him. The caller is on probation and his probation officer told him to make a report. He does have documentation with him. The male stated his wife is a protected party from him. He stated his wife has been contacting him through text messages and phone calls. The male showed an officer a text message from his wife on his cell phone dated 3-30-23. He did not respond to the text message. In addition to the cell phone contact, he stated a few weeks ago, his wife was following him on the highway in her car. He has since blocked his wife’s number. He was provided the report number to give to his probation officer. Information is on file at this time.

Center Road (St. Eugene Church)
A 2015 Jeep was broken into some time today. The passenger windows were broken out and the steering column was peeled. An officer spoke with the female complainant, who is the registered owner, regarding damage to her vehicle. The female advised on 03-31-2023 at 800 hours, she parked her vehicle in the rear auxiliary parking lot behind the church. The female then advised she returned to her vehicle at approximately 1600 hours to find her vehicle damaged. The officer responded to the listed location and found the listed vehicle to have all of the passenger side vehicle windows broken out and the steering column to be completely peeled. At this time, there are no security cameras observed in the area. The female complainant did advise she wishes to pursue criminal charges against the suspect(s) if identified. A DNA elimination swab was collected from the complainant who advised she is the only driver of the listed vehicle. A DNA swab was also collected from the steering column due to dust being present that appeared to be disturbed due to the incident. Both DNA swabs were placed into property as evidence.

Officers spoke to the resident who stated he heard a loud bang on his door. When he went to check, he noticed that his door was kicked and severely damaged. Officers spoke to multiple neighbors on the street who stated around 10 juveniles were being disorderly and walking around the street. There was no specific description of the juveniles, and the caller and the neighbors were unsure who kicked the door and caused damage. Photos were taken and a report number was given to the caller for insurance purposes.

A female caller believes a male friend she has visited a couple of times has taken her credit card and attempted to use it. The caller stated her friend stayed over the night Wednesday into Thursday morning on 3-30-23. The caller stated she noticed she couldn’t find her credit card so she contacted her bank and froze her account. After freezing her account, her bank notified her of three attempted charges at gas stations, but none of the purchases went through, and the caller was not out of any money. The caller wanted the incident documented.

A dad just punched the caller, and the mother is detaining him. The male is intoxicated. The male can be heard saying, “Kill me.” The female requesting is EMS. A second caller advised her mother is holding her father down on the floor. No one appears injured at this time. This caller advised her dad and brother were physically fighting. Bedford Heights just called in and stated that they heard what sounded like a rifle being discharged at the location. There is a subject barricaded in the garage. An officer called the residence and spoke to a female who advised that someone was on her way to the police station to sign the warrants.

The complainant came to the station to report that some unknown person stole a check and tried to cash it at a bank. The complainant put three envelopes in the US mailbox in downtown Bedford. Each envelope had a check inside. One check was changed from $66.81 to $1,500.16 with a fraudulent name written in. Huntington Bank security stopped the check and reversed depositing of the check. The other two checks were never cashed. He believes all three envelopes were stolen. He was advised to put a stop on the other two checks.

A male is at the station to report a fraudulent account that was opened in his name. The complainant states somebody used his information to open up an account with AT&T. They will close the account and he was not impacted financially. He was given some options to avoid further issues with fraud.

A male is in the lobby to report his wallet and jacket were stolen on 3-30-2023 while at a Columbus Road property. He stated that he had placed his leather jacket with his wallet in the pocket on top of his vehicle while he was changing a lock at that property. The complainant stated that an unknown person(s) used his debit cards twice for a total of $87.66.

The caller states she just went outside and her car is missing, it was last seen 1.5 hours ago. She was parked under a parking garage. This is her boyfriend’s new apartment so she doesn’t know if she needs a parking permit. The owner has both sets of keys and there is no glass on the ground where the vehicle was parked. The vehicle was towed for having no plates. The owner was advised.

An officer spoke with the complainant who advised that today, while at Central Elementary School, her daughter was assaulted. The daughter, a juvenile, was in recess when a male juvenile took a jump rope and wrapped it around her neck causing visible red marks. The daughter was sent to the nurse’s office, however the parents of the juvenile were never contacted by the school. At this time the complainant would like the incident documented.

The caller is at the front door of the police department to make a report that her ex-boyfriend assaulted her. She declined a squad. The male has a warrant. An officer spoke with the complainant who advised that on 4-05-23, at around 100 hours, she was with her unborn child’s father at his house. She advised that he locked the door to his bedroom and proceeded to shove her onto the bed. He then put his body weight on her, pinning her down, and made verbal threats that he was going to cause physical harm to her. During this physical altercation, she had twisted her ankle which she went to the hospital to treat later in the day. She advised she was unable to call 911 at that time out of fear that he would do something else to harm her. She advised, she left the house. She returned to Bedford to speak with police about her options. She denied filing charges at this time but was advised on how to obtain a protection order.

Officers responded to the residence for a report of family trouble. The female complainant, the resident, advised her adult son came back from out of state and is now inside the home and possibly intoxicated. The female advised the male had moved out in February and is no longer welcome in the home. The female also stated that the male locked her out of her home. Officers made contact with the male who advised he did smoke marijuana but otherwise is okay. The male was found to be EWW with North Ridgeville for traffic charges. The warrant was confirmed, however due to manpower at both agencies, the male was advised and released. The male voluntarily gathered his property and left the residence to keep the peace. The complainant was advised of residency laws and to contact the police if the issues continued.

The caller said that there is male that stole a plate two days ago and now is on the scene attempting to get the vehicle. The male is in the front office and he is trying to get a car. Thet caller said that the male has a warrant for the stolen plate. The male is in the front office now. The male was irate on the phone and refused to pay for the vehicle. An officer advised he is being transported to the Bedford Jail on a warrant.

A male states his cleaning lady locked the apartment when she was done cleaning and forgot her car keys inside. The female called the male and asked him to come home so she could get her keys. The male advised it would be a while since he is not close by. The female was not happy with this and told the male she was going to break the door down. The male contacted the police and officers observed an open door with fresh damage to the door frame and a footprint on the door. Officers were unable to make contact with the female to pay for the damages. The victim will sign a warrant for the female for criminal damage. On 4-9-23, before the warrant was signed by the victim, the female paid the victim $250 to repair the door. The victim was satisfied with this and declined to press charges.

The caller reports neighbors behind her are drinking and yelled at her 4-year-old granddaughter for looking out the door. The caller states neighbors verbally threatened to shoot the caller. No weapons were seen or involved. An additional complainant reported someone pulled a 9mm on her. She also advised she wanted to kill herself but would not answer anything further about the comment and then further said she wanted to beat up everyone in the home and screamed. This is a multiple-unit dwelling. The caller states her neighbor had made a comment about having a 9mm. This comment made the caller feel threatened. The officers spoke with the neighbor, and she was highly intoxicated. She agreed to go inside for the night. No direct threats were made by either party involved. They were advised of some options.

The caller said her friend is at the apartment and is yelling. This female doesn’t live there but has been staying there almost two weeks and there are small kids with her. The female is possibly intoxicated and has possible marijuana use. The caller originally found her passed out in the shower. Oakwood Police were called for mutual aid.

The caller is at the service desk. The caller advises a problematic juvenile is back in the store and was advised by the police department to call if they see him back in. The male has been trespassed, and they want him removed from the store. Officers see the male and a second male are at CVS now. The juvenile males are coming back. An officer spoke with males and advised they are not welcome. They are heading home.

The caller advised someone pulled up in a black four-door sedan, all the way up his driveway. He does not know who it is. He believes they may have caused damage to the neighbor’s tree lawn and he does not want to be blamed. The vehicle left northbound on High Street two minutes ago. An officer requests units to step it up. The male was detained and the exact location is given. Solon was called. The male is high on PCP. Officers requested a few cars from the jail. The male is cooperative at this time.

A caller states that her 20-year-old daughter is trying to kick in the door. The female is screaming through the door to give her stuff. The caller states her daughter has mental issues. The caller states the female is in the hallway tearing things up. A second caller is saying there is a female pounding on stuff. An officer spoke with the caller’s dad and the female took off from the area. She has no shoes and is wearing a T-shirt. Officers will check the area. She was unable to be located.

An officer was flagged down at the above address for a report of a fight. The store manager said two juveniles were jumped by two other males in the parking lot, and then the two juveniles ran inside the store. While speaking with the store manager, the officer saw the two juveniles involved on Columbus Rd, across the street from Phil’s Supermarket. The officer was able to speak with the juveniles in front of a house on Lincoln Boulevard. The juveniles said they were jumped by multiple males. Both juveniles had noticeable cuts on their upper lip. They were taken home by Bedford Police.

A complainant reported that he found a spent bullet on the floor of his bedroom a few days ago and overnight found a hole in the wall of the same room. An officer spoke to the complainant who advised that he has been working from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. recently. Last night he stated that he noticed a hole in the wall and believes that it was caused by the bullet. The officer took possession of the bullet and photographed the interior and exterior of the hole in the wall. It appears that the round came from the shared driveway on Tarbell. The officer checked the area and did not locate any shell casing from the bullet that entered into the property.

The caller is an employee and said that there are two males and a female outside of a pickup truck. One of the males is lying down and can’t stand up. The caller has been there for at least five minutes and the people have been there since he got there. There’s an additional caller from the alarm company. They are still there and they have the male up and are trying to get him into the back of the truck, but the male is falling over. The caller doesn’t know if he is hurt, but they are trying to get him in the passenger side of the truck. Request for EMS for the male with a possible stroke. Per the police department, EMS is taking him to Marymount.

A female showed an officer texts that her ex-boyfriend stated he was outside. The male was knocking on her door along with calling her multiple times. Officers checked the area and did not locate the male. The male was called and advised of trespassing and telecommunications harassment.
