A male states he is waiting outside for his family to pick him up and the parties in the apartment are making threats toward him and sending him pictures of them tearing up his items. The caller will be leaving with his mother for the evening. Parties advised to stop damaging property.

A complainant called to report that there was a family argument last night. The police were called to the apartment. The complainant believes that his son smashed both mirrors on his father’s vehicle and he is requesting they prosecute him. There was no report for the damage to the vehicle last night, and the son is not home at this time. The caller will be standing by the vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer met with the complainant who advised that his vehicle was damaged sometime last night and that he believes that his son is responsible. The complainant stated that he and his wife put their son out of the apartment last night after bringing him here from California. He stated that they do not feel comfortable with him in the apartment. The complainant stated that he believes that after the incident last night his son broke the passenger side mirror on the vehicle before he left. The complainant stated that he would pursue charges against the son. There are security cameras on the exterior of the building with one looking in the direction of the complainant’s vehicle. The officer will contact the management company about the possible video. The officer provided the complainant with statement forms to complete when he returns from the hospital.

The complainant called to report that her boyfriend hit her in the head causing her head to hit the passenger-side window of the car. The complainant is refusing a squad. The complainant stated that her boyfriend took her phone and is driving toward Garfield Heights where he lives. The male owns guns, but she states they are in his house. The complainant stated the male just texted her saying that her phone is in the mailbox. The female was advised to stay in the house. Officers arrived and spoke to the complainant who advised that the male also choked her while they were in his vehicle as she was attempting to get her belongings back from him. No marks were detected on her neck area. The complainant stated that she wanted to pursue charges.

The complainant stated that a female returned a loaner car with approximately $5,000 worth of damage to the driver’s-side rear. The insurance information provided by the female was not valid, and she will not respond to the business. The complainant was advised of his civil options.

The caller advised his son is sending him threatening messages via text message. His son is stating, “He wants his father to start something so he can show his dad his power.” The caller stated he and his son have not been getting along recently, and the caller believes that his son is trying to ruin his relationship between him and his wife. The caller stated that he is an ex-convict and does not want to do something that will send him back. The male was advised to ignore his son if they cannot keep the peace when they interact. This officer also called the son about his father’s issues with him. The son stated he is staying with his aunt in Cleveland and has blocked his fathers’ phone number and has no intention of seeing him anytime soon.

A 34-year-old male male took 48 cough pills. The male is semi-alert. The subject is having a hard time answering questions. The male has done this in the past trying to get high. His mother is on the scene with the male. The male was transported to Bedford Medical Center.

The male complainant wanted to speak with an officer regarding another male who is harassing him. The other male purchased a PS4 from the complainant on Monday in Elyria and then called the complainant back the same day, stating he wanted his money back. The purchaser sent a picture of the complainant’s house to the complainant stating if he did not get his money back, he was going to show up at the complainant’s residence. The complainant has made three attempts to meet with the male to exchange the PS4, but the purchaser did not show up. An officer was given the purchaser’s phone number and left a voicemail advising the purchaser not to have any further contact with the complainant. The officer advised the complainant that the purchaser is most probably a con artist attempting to get money from him. The complainant was advised he may want to look into using a third-party seller in the future to avoid this scenario.

An officer spoke with a male in the lobby for a report of a custody dispute. The male stated he has been attempting to contact his ex-wife since last week, but she has not been answering any texts or phone calls. The male provided court paperwork which states he is able to speak with his two daughters, who live with their mother via FaceTime but is unable to due to the mother not returning or answering any calls. The male was advised to contact the court.

A male with a green safety vest and baseball cap is asking people for money and chasing cars. He is refusing to leave. Officers are out with male. He was advised he was no longer allowed to enter the property of Sunoco and any future violations could result in a summons.

The complainant called to report that his father pulled a knife on him. The male took the knife and placed it on the kitchen counter. The complainant advised that he will be outside waiting for officers. The complainant states his father is attempting to come downstairs and try to pick up the knife off the counter. The complainant stated that the argument started over the ordering of food. The father has the knife in his hand and is walking down the stairs wearing a black top and khaki pants. Officers took the older male into custody for domestic violence

The dispatch notified Bedford units of a possible domestic involving a male and female in the parking lot at Mortimer. Bedford units responded. Upon arrival, an officer observed a male sitting on the ground with blood on his hands, arms, and pants. The male advised that his 18-year-old son stabbed him. An officer arrived on scene and took the son into custody, and a squad transported the victim to Metro Hospital. The son was returned to the station and is to be charged with aggravated assault. Two temporary criminal protection orders have been entered on behalf of the victim who is still in the hospital. Both parties are victims to each other in this case. The older male will be charged with domestic violence. The son’s bond was set at $75,000.

A female would like to speak to an officer in regards to the father of her daughter who is throwing all of the daughter’s stuff out of the home. He has been drinking today. He said that he is going to take the daughter’s clothes in the backyard and light them on fire. He has been calling and threatening both her and the daughter. She said he has been acting out because he does not want her living there with him. The complainant and her ex do not live together. The complainant was advised that he would need to evict their daughter through Bedford Court. She was also advised to notify the police if needed.

A male is in the police department lobby, and he states that his 36-year-old daughter threatened his life last night. He states he needs her out of his house. He said the police keep coming out and doing nothing. An officer said this was the same male given advice on this matter from before.

A caller reports a theft of car keys and room keys. The caller is upset that that staff is not assisting him. There have been several theft complaints reported from this caller. The dispatch called Woodside Village. The administrator will investigate the complaint and call the police if necessary.

The mother and daughter were not on scene upon arrival to the home. The father said that his daughter has been threatening him all night. The daughter would not speak to officers about the incident. The mother said that the male threatened her with a gun. Officers went to the mother’s house to speak with the daughter about the incident. The daughter left again before officers arrived. The mother was advised to let her daughter and son stay at her home until new living arrangements could be worked out. The daughter and father keep getting into arguments when they are in the same home. She agreed and said that her daughter and son could stay at her home. The mother was told to have her daughter get an escort by police to the home to get her personal items. The father said he did not have a gun in the home. He said that he gave it to his brother who lives in Cleveland because he did not feel safe with it in the home.

A gun was seen when the subject went through the drive through. The male ran across the street to Liberty Ford. It is unknown if the male got into a vehicle.  A witness is willing to speak with officers. A possible second suspect is at Liberty Ford with two Bedford Units. The interior of the KFC is clear. Two females say they can identify the male. The manager said she was pushed into the freezer. She said she didn’t see the suspect, but her employees did. Cleveland Heights police are en route with a K-9 unit. Bedford officers are speaking with parties at Liberty Ford and sent them on their way. They will have K-9 start at the takeout sign at the drive through. Officers are out at Stafford Park. A sedan is stopping at the pavilion at the park. The male is refusing to identify himself. Officers are en route to KFC to pick up witnesses. The K-9 is following a scent line on the north side of Liberty Ford by the football stadium. Officers are calling off the K-9 track at the fence line directly at the end of Mayville Avenue by the dumpsters. The male provided his identification. Officers back en route to KFC. The male was not involved in the incident.

An officer spoke to a female complainant in the lobby about some messages she has been receiving. The female stated she has a protection order against another female and thinks she is messaging her through a fake Instagram account. The fake Instagram account was blank and did not give any incriminating information on who was using the account. The female complainant was advised to block the account and to contact the department if the other woman contacts her directly or if she comes in personal contact with her.

A manager at U-Haul called to report a stolen truck. The truck was rented on 04/16/2020 and was to be returned on 04/18/2020. The subject that rented the truck gave false personal information and a non-working phone number. The information was entered into leads.

Officers spoke to a female complainant in the lobby. She stated that sometime in the evening hours on Saturday, person(s) unknown threw a brick through her bedroom window. She has no idea who would’ve done this and stated she tries to keep to herself. Officers went to the residence and noted all the glass was on the exterior of the building as if it was broken from the inside. The complainant claimed to have cleaned up the glass that came into the room. She then noticed the air in all four of her tires were let out (no tire damage). She just wanted the damage documented for her landlord. Photos were taken and she was provided the report number. Since these incidents, she has installed small cameras on the outside of the house and will notify police if she gets any video footage or sees anyone in the future.

A manager reports that yesterday two customers came into the store at different times and each passed one counterfeit $100 bill to make their purchases. The bills were not discovered as counterfeit until today. The manager does not know either of the customers, but states that they are both regulars and believes they are not connected to each other. The manager also stated that she does not believe that either party knew that the bills were counterfeit. The manager will contact the department if the customers come into the store so that police can question where the bills may have come from. The bills were photographed and put into property. Pictures of the customers were added to the CAD. The male purchased cigarettes for $6.73, and the female purchased $16.50 in lottery tickets.

Officers spoke to the complainant and advised him of his options after his daughter took his car. He believes his daughter will bring the vehicle home later, he just wants to document the fact that she took the car without his permission in case she gets in an accident or causes any damage.

Officers spoke to the son and mother who both stated that there was a verbal argument that mutually turned into a minor physical altercation. Both mother and son were separated prior to the officers’ arrival and they both agreed to stay separate for the evening to keep the peace.

Officers spoke with a Bedford Building Department inspector. He stated he was issuing a warning to a resident for high grass. The male resident was very irate that the inspector was on his property, and he was making threats toward him and stating “get off my property; you have no business being here.” The inspector stated the male got in his face and was belligerent toward him. Officers attempted to make contact with the resident, but there was no answer at the door. The inspector positively identified a photo of the male that had been making the threats toward him. The male residing at the listed address is to be advised for harassment.

Officers spoke with a reporting person via phone call who stated that money had been removed from her account by unknown persons using her Cash App. Initially, the transaction was $1000 but was cancelled and a second transaction of $700 was completed. The complainant states that she has already been in contact with her bank and the bank reimbursed her lost funds. She believed that a co-worker possibly copied her Cash App card info that was left on her desk today at work. She wants this incident documented for the time being as she attempts to obtain video evidence from her supervisor at a later date and will contact police.

Caller advises that she saw a male and female fighting. The female was last seen running north on Broadway. The male is now also running north on Broadway. The caller saw them physically fighting. He struck her first. An officer is on Broadway speaking with a male possibly involved. The male states it was a verbal altercation only. The female is nowhere to be found at this time. Officers spoke with the male in front of Los Gallos. He stated he and his girlfriend got into an argument, and then she walked away from him because she wanted to be alone. The male tried getting the female to stay but she pushed him away. The female was not able to be located and her voicemail is not set up.

Officers responded for a report of a disturbance. A male in the lobby of the business stated that he took a refrigerator motor to the business to be repaired. As the repairs were made, additional installation fees were added onto the total cost of repair. The male was advised that it was a civil issue and to contact the court. The male was EWW-CCSO for probation violation and was transported to CCSO.

The caller advised she is not currently on the scene, but when she left, she said her son-in-law was getting violent and throwing things. She said he has been drinking, and her daughter is still on the premises. Officers spoke to the female resident who stated there was not an issue and her mother calls because she does not like her boyfriend. Officers then spoke with her boyfriend who appeared to have just woken up and could barely talk or walk due to a high level of intoxication.

Caller advised there is a vacant house nearby, and there are a group of juveniles there looking into the windows of this house with a flashlight. They are now walking south on Center. The officer does not see any kids and is now going to check around the house. Officers are out with a group of kids in front of the Bedford Church of the Nazarene. The house checked OK. The door does not have a lock on it. The juveniles were identified and stated they were walking to their house nearby.

Complainant states a female is at the house trying to cash his mother’s Social Security Checks. The son is en route and will be at the house shortly. Bedford officers responded. Officers spoke to the complainant who advised that his mother has some mental issues and receives a Social Security Check in the amount $798 a month. He advised that the female is the designated payee for his mother. The complainant stated that his mother never gets the full amount of her money from the female. He stated that his mother has no refrigerator or TV and maybe gets about $350 from the female. The officer learned that the mother lives in Cleveland on Turney Road. The officer advised the complainant that he would need to file the fraud report in Cleveland and to contact the Social Security Office of the suspected fraud. He was also advised to contact the Ohio Attorney General’s Office for additional assistance.

There is a black Mercedes abandoned in the lot, and it appears to have suffered recent gunfire damage. Officers spoke to the vehicle owner in reference to the damage to her vehicle. She and her boyfriend were robbed in Cleveland and filed a report with the 4th District. Her vehicle was brought to Mercedes for service and repair. The complainant was notified and everything checked OK.

An officer is out with a male that is carrying something, possibly a satellite receiver. The officer observed the listed male carrying a cable satellite north on Center Road. Officers spoke with the male, and he stated that he had taken it out of the garbage on the treelawn of a home. Checks OK.

An employee is reporting a belligerent customer outside who will not leave. Officers spoke to the male who was very uncooperative and upset because the employees asked him for his ID and to take off his mask so they could see his face. The male then called the employees racist and told them, “F— you! I know my rights.” While officers were on scene, the male continued to act in a belligerent manner and yell profanity at officers and employees. The male was advised to leave the premises, and if he returns, he could be charged with trespassing.

The caller states that her 21-year-old son is irate and on marijuana. The male is inside the home. The disturbance was verbal only. When the mother went into his room, the son got upset. An officer spoke to the mom and her son. They agreed to separate for the day to let things cool off.
