A female caller is claiming her ex-boyfriend keeps driving past her house all throughout the day. He has a history of mental disorders, and he broke a window of her current boyfriend’s car. The male keeps threatening the female by calling her multiple times a day. He is threatening to “shoot up” the family. Officers were dispatched to the address for the disturbance. The female caller stated her ex-boyfriend took a rock from the front yard and threw it into the back window of her current boyfriend’s car. The suspect was not on the scene, but officers documented the damage and advised the female to have her boyfriend come to the station to file a report for the damage to the property.

The caller states she has a restraining order against her child’s father, and he’s been calling her and texting her when he’s not supposed to. He is not on the scene. There was no protection order seen in leads against the male. The caller does have a protection order against her involving another party. The caller was advised the protection order has yet to be issued to the male, so he could not be charged for the violation at this time. The caller stated she received a voicemail from the male who used a number which came up unknown. He stated he wanted to see his son in the voicemail. The caller advised she was forced to call 696-KIDS because the male left their premature son off of oxygen and took the oxygen key which is why the protection order is in place. She was advised not to answer any restricted or unknown numbers and to contact the police if he continues to leave messages after he has been served.

A caller is in the lobby to report that a female and male have been threatening to shoot up her daughter. Officers spoke to the caller who stated that her daughter’s friend and boyfriend are making threats to shoot up her house. The caller stated this altercation stems from an earlier incident. The caller stated that no specific threats have been made but they are texting her daughter and posting pictures on Instagram stating, “RIP and stay away from this address.” The daughter was advised to block the individuals making threats to her and to cease all contact. The caller and daughter were both advised to get proof of specific threats if any are made in the future. Officers spoke to the female making the threats who stated the caller’s daughter was making threats on Instagram/text message stating, “If anything happens, I know where your mother and sister lay their head at.” The female was also advised to block/cease contact with the other female. Also, the second female denies making the threats.

The complainant reported there is a court order for shared custody/visitations between her and her son’s father. She stated the father of her child has visitations every other weekend and every other Monday and Tuesday. The father has not picked up their child for three consecutive visits. The complainant stated the male has not been in contact with her regarding the visitations. The complainant did not have court paperwork with her at the time of the report. The complainant wanted the information on file.

The female threw the male’s belongings all over the yard. Officers stood by while he gathered his things.

Officers spoke with an irate complainant on scene who stated that his daughter arrived at the residence and was destroying the home. The only property that was observed damaged by officers was a bent security door screen. The complainant was uncooperative, and the female never made entry into the residence. Officers assisted the female to leave with her property and advised her not to return before calling and having police presence.

An officer responded and spoke with a male for a report of a theft from his residence. The male stated sometime between June 12 and June 13, unknown person(s) made entry into his home by cutting a window screen. They then stole items from inside. They took a 55-inch Vizio TV (with remote), two Dewalt batteries and a Dewalt impact gun from inside the home. The male valued the total loss to be $1,000. There are no suspects at this time.

An anonymous caller is reporting a group of approximately 20 people are trying to fight the maintenance worker. It is unknown if weapons are involved. The argument is over parking spaces. Officers found it was a verbal altercation only. Everyone was advised to separate.

A female complainant is reporting her ex-boyfriend just damaged a vehicle in her driveway and left the area. Officers responded and located the male as he was backing out of a driveway and striking another vehicle. He then fled the area in the car. Officers pursued the vehicle and terminated the pursuit when speeds exceeded 70 mph on Broadway Avenue. A short time later the male’s vehicle was located. He had crashed into a utility pole on Broadway. He then fled on foot to the rear of that business. The male was located and taken into custody without incident in the gully behind Rockside Road. The male was transported back to the jail and checked by the paramedics. He was transported to Hillcrest Hospital. He was charged with fleeing and eluding, hit-skip, criminal damaging, improper backing, no o/l, reckless operation and failure to control. The male was served all citations and released on $2,750 personal bond while at the hospital.

The caller says a female without pants just got out of a car yelling that the male driver attacked her. They’re headed toward the high school now. Both are in the car. The car was white and small, possibly a four-door with dark, tinted windows. The caller did see the female hit the male in the head before getting back in the car with him. Officers located the female on Broadway Avenue near Hawthorn Parkway. She stated she was getting a ride home from her friend, when he began arguing with her about money. She stated he hit her and pulled on her arm to get her out of his vehicle. The female declined to pursue charges against the male. The female stated she recently relapsed and needed help. She was provided contact information for Safe Passages. She was transported to the Bedford Medical Center to have her ankle checked out. An officer responded to the hospital to speak with the female. She stated she wanted to make a report of the altercation with the male. She was advised to come to the police department to discuss the incident after she was treated at the hospital.

While on patrol, an officer observed a male on the ground behind the Tavern Off Broadway. The officer identified the male who stated he was just involved in a physical altercation with another male who left the scene. The male the officer spoke to was heavily intoxicated and did have physical injuries to the front and back of his head. The second male involved was located near Central Elementary School by other officers and was identified. That male was also heavily intoxicated, and his clothing was torn. He denied being involved in the altercation. Patrons on the scene stated that the altercation occurred due to the males having a dispute over one of the males hitting on the other’s girlfriend. The first male was treated by EMS but declined transport. Both parties declined pressing charges and were advised to return to the police department to complete witness statements, if they choose to, once they are sober.

A caller is reporting several people banging on his doors and windows. The caller is safely locked inside. His girlfriend and children are inside as well. He sees four or five males but has no description on them. All of them are wearing hoods, carrying flashlights and looking into windows. The caller is now in the basement with his girlfriend and children. He locked himself in the basement and then hung up. Officers have not located anyone outside of the home. They spoke with the homeowner, and everything appears to be OK.

The business was supposed to be open at about 8 a.m. this morning. Many customers have tried to come in through the doors, but they are still locked even though the lights are on inside. Delivery people have tried to get in as well, though no one is answering. The caller is a customer who found it strange that it seems open, though the doors are still locked. Dispatch called a woman they had a number for, but she no longer works at this Dollar General. She will try to reach a current manager for the store. Dispatch called the store phone number, but that number is no longer in service. An officer said all the doors are secure, but the interior lights are on.

Officers responded to the area for a noise complaint and made contact with a female who stated she was just having an argument over the phone. Officers spoke with another male who advised that it was a verbal argument only. Another person involved left prior to officers’ arrival.

The male also stated the unknown person(s) withdrew $300 from his checking account. The male just wanted to make a report to be reimbursed by his bank who is investigating the matter.

Officers spoke with the complainant who stated that the husband of his girlfriend made a threat on his life. The complainant was provided a video by his girlfriend where the husband could be heard saying, “If your Mom wants to go around with another man behind my back, I’m gonna kill this man.” On June 17, the complainant stated that the husband could be heard on speaker phone with the wife. He was saying, “I know where you work and live; I’m going to take care of you.” The complainant states that he is not afraid of the male but would like the threats documented. Officers are unable to make contact with the husband at this time. The male called to report that the husband he is having problems with sent a text saying he was going to go to the male’s work in Cleveland. The male was already on his way to work. The male was told to contact Cleveland and let them know. He will come to the station after work to show officers the text. He received the text while at home.

An officer spoke with the complainant on station who states that on June 16 his niece took his rental vehicle without permission with keys while he was inside of the facility. Officers made contact with the female who states that she lives in Erie, Pa., and her uncle rented the vehicle for her. The female states that she was going to return the vehicle today after her son’s birthday party.

An employee at a car rental business said she was threatened yesterday by a male customer. She had inspected the car he returned and found it damaged. The male was told a claim would need to be made. He called the female a b—- and said, “Don’t worry, I will find you.” The business wanted the male advised that he is no longer welcome on the property. Officers made contact with the male and advised him of trespassing.

The complainant stated that he discovered a fraudulent Spectrum account in his son’s name. He states that his son did not open the account, because he has been incarcerated since 2018. When the complainant contacted Spectrum about the account they stated that the modem was being used on W. Grace Street. The complainant stated that the amount owed to Spectrum is between $60 and $65. The complainant stated that he needed a report so that Spectrum will cancel the account. The complainant suspects that his son’s ex-girlfriend may have used his son’s information to open the account for the homeowner. An officer stopped at W. Grace Street, but the homeowner was not home. The complainant called to report that Spectrum has suspended the account and he wishes no further police action.

A female states a male has been putting his hands on her and has been showing up at her parent’s house. She stated she wants to kill herself because she doesn’t know what to do. She doesn’t know the address of his house but states he lives in Bedford on Columbus Road and can show officers where. Officers spoke to the female complainant about her issues. Her ex-boyfriend has been harassing her, and he showed up at her father’s house yesterday in Maple Heights. She believes that the male suspect lives somewhere on Columbus Road, but she was advised that she would have to make a report in Maple Heights where she resides. She stated that she did, but they would not pursue anything or help her. She was advised on how to seek a protection order with the county.

The female states the male took her purse on Wednesday when they broke up. The female had been trying to contact the male for the past couple days to arrange a trade-off. Also, the caller states the male is accusing her of taking his $60 fan that she denies having. Officers will attempt to call the male in the morning to find a resolution to the problem. Officers spoke to the male who stated that he does not have a purse but he has a book bag of hers, and that he will return as soon as possible to end the feud.

A male is reporting his vehicle was vandalized. He believes his ex-girlfriend did the damage. Officers spoke to the caller who stated he believes his ex-girlfriend damaged his property with spray paint. The caller states when he came home, his neighbor came outside and told him, “A female drove up in a (car), got out of the vehicle, ripped the camera out of his window and started to spray paint his property.” The male states he does not have any camera footage or proof of the act but believes it was his ex because of the recent turmoil between the two. Officers will attempt to call the female to follow up. Officers made contact with the female who stated she was at work during the time his property was damaged. Also, the male stated at first, that his neighbor witnessed the female damage his property. When asked which neighbor, the male stated he is not sure which neighbor told him, and he does not know where he lives or his name. The male was advised to find his neighbor, and have him contact the police department if he wishes to continue on with charges.

The caller states the barn behind the home has smoke pouring from it. The door is sealed on the home, and the building on fire appears to be a vacant shed about 50 feet from the home. The caller does not see anyone around. The caller is just passing by. Bedford Heights is en route. A Garfield Heights truck is en route, also. Valley View is sending a squad. Heavy smoke and popping noises were coming from the barn. Officials are advising everyone to stay away. Officers are trying to evacuate nearby homes. Broadway Avenue is blocked. The former owner of the home was contacted. It went into foreclosure with US Bank. Possible arson is indicated. The service department is being contacted for boarding of the property. They are unable to locate info on the juveniles who have been known to frequent this house. There was an apparent attempt to ignite the house. Those at the site were warned to show extreme caution when responding to this address. The utilities were terminated at the home. The side door was unsecured with one broken window.

A male caller has been punched by a female at the home. The female is the caller’s wife. The caller declined a squad. The caller states he and the female both have CCWs and the female took his gun. He does not know where the gun is now. The caller has a 9mm in the bedroom, which is still in the bedroom. The female is waiting in a car in the driveway with the grandchild. Both parties are refusing to leave, but they agreed to stay separate for the night. There were conflicting stories on physical contact between the two parties, with both denying each other’s claims. There are no visible injuries and officers are unable to determine the primary physical aggressor at this time. Both were advised to stay separate to keep the peace.

The caller states she was at this location in her storage unit and there is a very foul odor like something decaying. She told management and the cleaning crew. They state they are trying to locate the cause. This was over a week ago, and the caller was there today, and the smell is still there. She thinks it’s coming from a certain unit. She states it’s a very concerning smell. An officer checked the area. There is an odor of mold in the area of the complainant’s locker. Management is aware of the problem, but they have not been able to locate the exact storage unit as of this time. They are still working on locating the unit.

A caller is reporting that he suspects his ex-girlfriend stole his gun. The girlfriend is on the scene and the two parties are arguing. It is unknown if the weapon is on the female. The male states he went to grab his gun while they were arguing and the firearm was missing. The female ran away in an unknown direction of travel. The caller confirmed it got physical between both of them. Officers arrived on the scene while dispatch was on the line. Officers said the male will stay inside the apartment. He was hyperventilating but refused the squad. The neighbor will keep an eye on him. They will call should the female return. Police will keep an eye out for the female should she be seen in the neighborhood.

A caller states she was behind a van that was all black with black tinted windows. She states the van kept stopping and going, and then finally, it pulled over really fast into this drive. She noticed that there were about eight small kids in the back seat, and the driver and the passenger looked at her suspiciously when she passed them. She would like officers to check on the parties in this van to make sure the kids are OK. The plate does not come back to a van. An officer found the vehicle unoccupied, and there was no answer at the door.
