Eldred Avenue
A husband just threw his wife down on the ground, and she hit her head. Officers are trying to decide if she needs an ambulance or not. The husband is still on the scene. The son is also there, as well. The male owns a gun, but it is put away. There has been possible drinking by the male, per the wife. The male is going to wait outside. An officer spoke with the male about the reported assault. He stated that he and his wife were having a heated argument in the kitchen, when she threw a screw into the pot he was cooking his dinner in. He said she continued to yell, got into his face, grabbed his shirt near his right shoulder and pushed his face. The wife stated that she and her husband were arguing in the kitchen, at which point her husband mocked her and then pushed her to the ground. There were no visible injuries on either party. Both parties were given statement forms to complete.

Officers were flagged down by a truck driver who states that he witnessed an intoxicated male strike the school zone flasher with his car. The truck driver was not able to obtain any identifying information for the suspect vehicle and the cameras did not capture the incident. Officers checked the area for the suspect vehicle but were unable to locate it. Photos of the damage were taken, and a copy of this report was sent to the City of Bedford finance department.

Officers spoke to a female who stated there is a male harassing her through social media. The female states the male contacted her through Instagram to express his love for her and send unsolicited pictures. The female also states that he gets mad and threatens to damage her property. The female said, however, that the male does not know where she lives or even her real name. The male only contacts her through her fiance’s phone. She was advised to block the male on social media and to stop using her fiance’s phone.

Northfield Road (Family Dollar)
A male stole some ice, but the worker there was able to get the ice back. A female took three products. They left the store, and the white car they were in is just down the street sitting at a house. Both parties were advised for trespassing. Officers spoke to the district manager of Family Dollar. She stated that the female thief has been doing this for weeks (coming in with a large purse and only buying one small item), but today they caught her. The male stole a bag of ice and was confronted in the parking lot before being able to leave. The store collected all the merchandise from the couple but would like them advised that they are no longer welcome at any Family Dollar stores in the local area. If they are caught, the district manager has instructed her store managers to pursue criminal trespassing.

Rockside Road (Mazda of Bedford)
Officers spoke to the sales person. An unknown male allegedly sent messages through an online app inquiring about a vehicle. (Sales persons are selected randomly to be assigned to handle the messages). The male then asked if the person they were speaking with was a female and continued by asking the sales person out on a date. She advised that if this person was not interested in a vehicle, then she would no longer respond. The unknown person then made a threat to “come to your house, and rape you.” The female complainant was very shaken up about this and provided officers with all the information received in the messages. The cell phone number was at one time entered as a contact number for a male in 2019 but does not appear to be good. Officers advised the sales person that without being able to identify this person, they would not be able to advise him to stop. She was upset with this and stated this “happens too often and people just get away with it,” but did not provide officers with any methods to identify this male. She was advised to call if any more communications come from this number, or if anyone comes to the dealership to harass her specifically.

The caller states that her ex-husband has threatened to do damage to her car and to harm her. The caller would like to make a report concerning the threats. She stated that her ex-husband’s brother is also threatening her. She said that her ex-husband said he was going to come over to her place when she least expected it. She said her kids like to be outdoors, and she is afraid to let her children outside. She said the male has no weapons, but he does drink a lot. The male was staying with the caller from May until just last week. An officer spoke with the male half who stated the caller just lost her mother about a month ago and is making these accusations because she is upset. He was advised to keep the peace and to not make any threats if he has in the past.

Adams Street
A caller in a truck picked up a female that said she was just jumped by a group of females. The suspects left in two vehicles. No weapons were involved. They were last seen on Woodrow Avenue heading towards Broadway Avenue. EMS is requested for a head injury. The caller is now advising the suspects are at the park on Woodrow Avenue. Bedford Heights Police were advised for mutual aid. The suspect vehicles are on Center Road and are not stopping. Officers are in pursuit of the Ford. The injured party reported that her sister set her up. Her sister and their friends asked her for food stamps and then they jumped her outside the vehicle. The officer is driving across backyards on Morgan Street back to Broadway Avenue. Pursuit now on Garden Street in Maple Heights. The car wrecked into an RTA. A foot pursuit is now taking place. The pursuit ended at Jefferson Avenue and Broadway Avenue. One gun was found in the car, and four females are in custody. An officer is speaking with a female who orchestrated the incident. The driver from the pursuit is being transported to Marymount Hospital, but will be in custody. A female admitted to the officer that they arranged today’s incident in retaliation for a previous incident where others had planned an assault against her.

A male wanted to report that he and his girlfriend have been arguing a lot and have also gotten into minor physical alterations. The male wanted to report that she had slapped him in the face this morning during an argument. The male did not want to pursue any criminal charges and just wanted the incident documented.

A female is still being threatened by her ex-husband. He is making threats towards her via cell phone. Today, the female wanted to report that her ex-husband’s brother texted her around 1200 hours and stated “hell is around the way, don’t go to sleep.” The female mentioned the brothers are upset because she packed up her ex-husband’s belongings and dropped them off at his apartment. The female left a message with the court to inquire about obtaining a protection order. She was advised to block her ex-husband’s number to prevent any further communication. An officer attempted to contact the male with no answer.

A female stated that her 34-year-old daughter just assaulted her. Both are still in the home. The female stated the daughter bit her finger, and it is bleeding. She is requesting a squad. The squad cleaned up the cut finger, and no one wanted to pursue charges. Officers were unable to determine the primary aggressor. The parties were advised to stay away from each other to keep the peace.

An officer spoke with a female in the lobby for a report of theft. The female stated she paid her uncle $350 to help move all of her belongings into her mother’s home. The female stated the male stole her home decor, jewelry, knives, clothes, designer purses, important papers and her dog during the move on Nov. 20, 2019. The female has not spoken to the male in about three months and he blocked her phone number. An officer contacted the male who stated he has none of the items the female mentioned. He did mention the female gave him the dog as she did not want it anymore.

The complainant came on station in reference to harassment that he is getting from his child’s mother. The female keeps harassing/threatening him via text message. An officer spoke to the complainant who advised that his child’s mother is constantly texting him using a Text Free app. The complainant stated that on June 15, while he was at the Vivid Cocktail Lounge in Maple Heights, the female slashed three of his vehicle’s tires and also cut him on his right forearm. The complainant stated that he filed a report with Maple Heights police over the incident. He also said that since then, the female has continually attempted to contact him, saying that she is going to damage his car again, and that he is never going to see his child. He stated that she has threatened to come to his work place and damage his vehicle. The complainant stated that he had an appointment to get a restraining order but had to cancel due to a child custody hearing. He advised that he will get another appointment. The officer provided the complainant with statement forms to complete and return when finished.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car needs to report a Dodge Grand Caravan Stolen. The person who rented the vehicle was involved in a shooting, and the male is now deceased. The family does not know where the vehicle is currently.

A back garage door was broken into, and the caller’s lawn mower is missing. The theft occurred yesterday. The caller thinks that it is someone he lent other property to, and he would like to make a report via phone call. It is a family dispute over property. The caller resides on Avalon and had the lawn mower, which actually belongs to a female, in his garage. The caller states there are some items that the female refuses to return to him, so he refuses to give her back the lawn mower. The male believes the female broke into his garage and took the lawn mower. An officer spoke with the female, and she admitted to having her 14-year-old grandson get the lawnmower for her. The female denies any damage was done to the garage while retrieving her lawn mower. She still refuses to return the male’s items. The officer spoke with the supposed owner of the home. She does not want to pursue the matter criminally.

The caller is receiving harassing text messages from a female who is a former friend. The complainant said that she and her ex recently broke up and he is now diagnosed with stage 4 brain cancer. His cousin called the complainant wanting to come over and talk about her cousin. The complainant did not want her over. The female then got angry and began to send her harassing messages. The complainant requested that police call the female to ask her to stop calling/texting the complainant. The female was called and advised of the conversation with the complainant. She stated the complainant had called her seven times and left three voicemails about “pulling up to her house.” The female stated she would not go to the complainant’s house and was advised to stop calling/texting the complainant to keep the peace. The complainant was called back and advised of the conversation. She was advised to block the female’s number and to not call her anymore.

A female stated she was coming home from a friend’s house when she saw her ex-boyfriend. Her ex-boyfriend then hit the front of her vehicle multiple times in the front lot of Baye Market and then followed her east on Columbus Road into Bedford Heights. Officers were able to speak with the female in the lot of the Columbus Intermediate School but were unable to locate the male. The male later called into the Bedford Police Department to state he was at home and getting harassed. He was advised by dispatch to come to the station to state his side of the story.

The caller stated her ex-boyfriend took her car. The male was recently charged with CCW in her vehicle. She advised that she just met the male two months ago, and he has been staying at her house. He has taken the vehicle before, but she did not give him permission this time. She was advised to contact the department after 48 hours to file unauthorized charges if she doesn’t get the vehicle back.

The complainant stated that he parked his leased 2020 Hyundai in front of his apartment building. He stated that the vehicle was locked, and he had his keys in his possession, but when he came out he discovered his vehicle missing. He went to Hyundai thinking that the vehicle might have been repossessed. He stated that he did not get his payment book and missed his first payment. The complainant stated that he was informed by Hyundai that they did not take his car and advised him to file a police report. The complainant stated that they told him that they would waive the first payment since he did not get his payment book and stated that they would set him up with an online payment option. The officer advised dispatch of the vehicle’s plate and asked them to check for a possible repossession. The dispatch advised that they did get a repossession call from Source One at 1154 hours for the vehicle. The vehicle was repossessed by Source One. The complainant was advised.

A male in the lot of Burger King was seen banging on the windows of a car. The male left on foot walking towards Marco’s Pizza. The third-party caller stated it looked like the male was in an argument with a female who was holding a baby. The female wanted to pursue charges for criminal damaging. A summons was signed by the female and issued to the male. The male was released on scene.

The caller received a strange letter saying “Community Notice” about a no-contact order regarding his neighbor. He would like an officer to take a look at it. The male stated he received a letter from the neighbor’s estranged daughter. She was simply advising the caller that her father has a restraining order versus his daughter through Akron courts. In the order, the father is not permitted to own or possess any firearms. She was simply making the neighborhood aware. The caller was advised to contact police should he see anything suspicious.

The caller states there is a car parked on the dead end section of the street. The caller states another car came down, and they flicked their lights at each other. Two females in a grey vehicle are watching and taking pictures of people at the ATM. They take the picture of a person using the ATM, and when that person leaves the machine, they go up to the machine. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

A tall male wearing gray sweatpants came to the caller’s door asking if he has any anxiety meds. After the caller stated he did not have any, the male went to the neighbor’s house and was on the porch for 10 minutes. The caller was seen walking north on Center Road. The male was gone upon the arrival of officers.

An employee advised there is a white truck parked in the back lot leaking a fluid, possibly paint. This information was given to an employee by a customer. The vehicle was, in fact, leaking paint. There were no working numbers for the owner of the vehicle. The business stated they will have to have it towed if it is not moved tonight.

Officers responded to the area for a noise complaint and observed an occupied vehicle. An officer made contact with the driver of the listed vehicle who stated he was just “hanging out” in the parking lot. In plain view, the officer observed marijuana shake in the driver’s lap. A search of the vehicle was conducted, and a small amount of suspected marijuana was located. It was an insufficient amount to be collected. The driver was advised of the complaint and sent on his way. No further police action required.
