A Facebook post by Maple Heights Firefighters Local 1184 described the situation: “7-17-24 (B-shift) 1341hrs Maple E1 and R1 Mutal aid to Bedford at the Viaduct for a male with injuries and needing extrication from the viaduct area. Firefighters from Bedford along with Maple and Oakwood extricated male. Departments set up rope rescue equipment and moved Patient up to safety. Great job by all members setting up equipment and extricating victim.”
