BEDFORD, OH — This October, Bedford will once again come alive with stories from its past during the Bedford Historical Society’s annual Spirit Walk. Set in the historic Bedford Cemetery at 999 Broadway Avenue, the event offers a unique blend of local history and theatrical storytelling.
On Friday, October 24, and Saturday, October 25, visitors can join guided lantern-lit tours through the cemetery, where amateur actors portray some of Bedford’s most notable former residents. Among the figures brought to life are a survivor of the Titanic and a Civil War veteran, each sharing their remarkable stories with audiences.
Tours depart every 20 minutes between 5:00 and 8:00 p.m., creating an intimate and immersive experience that highlights Bedford’s rich 188-year history. The Spirit Walk has become a beloved fall tradition, drawing both residents and visitors eager to learn about the people who shaped the community.
Tickets are $15 and available at the door on the night of the event. Guests are reminded that this is a cash-only event, so plan ahead to ensure a smooth entry.
