BEDFORD HEIGHTS, Ohio – As reported by Fox 8 News, A Special Wish Foundation Northeast Ohio held its annual Holiday Drive-Thru on Sunday at the Winking Lizard in Bedford Heights. The event provided families with immunocompromised children a safe way to experience holiday festivities, complete with a winter wonderland featuring holiday characters, entertainment, and gifts.
The highlight of the event was a special visit to the North Pole, where children had the opportunity to see Santa Claus, offering a rare and cherished experience for families unable to attend crowded public gatherings.
Over 150 families participated in the event, which aimed to bring joy and create lasting memories for children with critical health conditions. Among the families attending was the Forbes family, who became involved with the foundation due to their son’s health challenges.
In addition to the holiday entertainment, A Special Wish Foundation distributed toys donated throughout the year, ensuring that every child received a gift to celebrate the season.
The event reflects the foundation’s ongoing mission to support children with life-threatening illnesses by providing them with unique and joyful experiences, especially during the holidays.
