BEDFORD HEIGHTS, OH — As reported by Cleveland 19 News, a Bedford Heights man, Woodrow Caver, is facing criminal charges after allegedly ramming his neighbor’s sister’s car while her children were inside. Caver has been charged with three counts of felonious assault following the incident, which occurred on Buckthorn Road. The neighbor, Ranielle Butler, reported that Caver, driving a truck, attempted to collide with her vehicle. Despite her efforts to avoid him, he struck the passenger side of her car and continued to rear-end her multiple times. The vehicles became attached after the impact, and Caver allegedly pushed Butler’s vehicle through tree lawns before they detached. He then fled on foot into a wooded area.

Caver was apprehended later at his home. Butler, distressed by the event, stated that police informed her that her children could have been killed. She also shared that Caver’s behavior was tied to a long-standing issue between him and her sister, Sh’Mel Sands. Caver has a criminal history, including a 2020 conviction for aggravated assault and a 2022 sentence for witness intimidation. Butler expressed relief that Caver was behind bars, saying she would feel safe as long as he remains incarcerated. His next court appearance is scheduled for today, April 21st.
