As reported by Fox8 News, Cleveland police are investigating the fatal shooting of a 31-year-old Bedford resident, though investigators have not yet determined where the shooting occurred.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as Raynell M. Clay of Bedford on Tuesday morning, Dec. 23. According to the office, Clay was transported by a private vehicle shortly after 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, from the West 54th Street area to MetroHealth Medical Center.

Despite medical treatment, Clay was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, including the exact location where the fatal injuries were sustained.

The Cleveland Police Department’s Homicide Unit is handling the investigation. As of Tuesday, no arrests have been made, and police have not released additional details regarding potential suspects or motives.

The investigation remains ongoing.
