BEDFORD, OH — As reported by Cleveland 19 News, a 25-year-old man died following a stabbing at an apartment in Bedford earlier this week, according to local authorities.
Police responded shortly after 8 p.m. on Wednesday to reports of a disturbance in the 200 block of Union Street. While en route, officers were informed that a man had been stabbed. Upon arrival, they located the victim inside a bedroom of the apartment.
Officers immediately began administering CPR and other emergency life-saving efforts. Despite those attempts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner later identified the victim as Tyreake Woods, a resident of Warrensville Heights.
According to Bedford Police Chief Mike Stask, the incident occurred at the apartment of the victim’s girlfriend. Authorities have confirmed that a suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the incident.
At this time, no formal charges have been filed, and the case remains under active investigation. Police have not released additional details as they continue to gather information about the circumstances surrounding the stabbing.
