Hello Bedford Residents:

I want to know how do you take care of your health. We are living in a time of high gas prices, inflation, the new Artificial Intelligence (AI) multifunction technology, etc. All of these things can contribute to stress, anxiety and other issues.

So, let’s talk about hypertension. There are so many people in the world with this underlying condition called hypertension (high blood pressure) undiagnosed. Especially young adults. This condition, hypertension, is often called a “silent killer” that goes undiagnosed.

Some causes are:
– Lifestyle, – High sodium diets, obesity, smoking, and frequent alcohol use

– Underlying conditions in younger children – high blood pressure is often a result of kidney, heart, or endoLon termcrine disorders.

– Medications: Certain oral contraceptives, over the counter pain relievers, or performance-enhancing drugs can also elevate blood pressure.

Long-term risks
If hypertension is not detected early, it can lead to heart and brain imaging abnormalities, increased stroke and heart attack risks by middle age, and chronic kidney disease.

I’m not a doctor, but this is just a little reminder to get regular health screenings which is vital. Without your health you have nothing.

– Get yourself a portable blood pressure monitor
It could save your life.

Good health to all
