Join our monthly book discussion at Bedford’s Ellenwood Community Center. This month we will discuss The Husband’s Secret by Liane Moriarty. Books are available at the Bedford Branch Library and Ellenwood Center a month in advance of the discussion date.
Kids Cook! – Grades 3-6

Expand your cooking skills with quick, simple, and delicious recipes. Registration required, opens August 12th, 2024 at 9 AM. This program may include activities that could be considered harmful. In order for your child to participate you must sign the Release and Hold Harmless form and return it to the program location at least one week prior to the program’s start date. DIY Sewing Herbal Sachets – Adult

Using provided sewing machines and materials, learn how to craft a DIY herbal sachet. With herbs such as lavender, eucalyptus, and cedar chips, making a wonderful smelling sachet is easy and a perfect opportunity to work on your sewing skills. Baby Craft – Birth-35 months with parent/caregiver

Drop in for a seasonal baby craft using our hands and feet. We’ll use nontoxic washable paint, but dress to get messy.
Mobile Pantry – Free, fresh produce distribution
Wednesday, September 18th from 1:30PM-3:30PM
Cuyahoga County Public Library is collaborating with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank to distribute free, fresh produce to those in need. This event will be held rain or shine. Each family will receive 3 pre-packaged boxes of dairy, meat, and/or produce for free, loaded into their vehicle trunk. First come, first-served basis, adults of any age, zip code, income level. Each vehicle can have up to 4 “families” (such as if single seniors are riding together). Vehicles preferred over walk-ups, for safety reasons.

Word Advanced Features

Learn about the advanced formatting features available in Word, including tab stops, styles, headers and footers. We will also discuss using tracking capabilities and comments to collaborate on documents. Prerequisite: Word Basics. Classes start promptly! We cannot hold seats for attendees who arrive after an in-person class has started. Anyone not on the registration list will be given an available seat on a first-come, first-served basis. Czech Potato Soup – Adults
Saturday, September 28th at 2:00PM
Learn to make this traditional potato soup loaded with root vegetables, mushrooms, and other healthy ingredients. It is vegetarian and contains no milk, cheese or cream. We will demonstrate and sample the recipe. MUST REGISTER
Chapter Book Champs – Grades 3-5
