Residents are invited to enjoy an evening of music, history, and family-friendly entertainment when Movie on the Square returns to Bedford Commons on Friday, July 10, featuring Disney’s Hamilton.
The free event will take place at Bedford Commons, 730 Broadway Avenue. Pre-show activities begin at 4:30 p.m., with the movie scheduled to start at 7 p.m.
Disney’s Hamilton brings the acclaimed Broadway musical to the screen, blending hip-hop, R&B, and traditional musical theater to tell the story of American Founding Father Alexander Hamilton and the birth of a nation.
Families are encouraged to bring blankets or lawn chairs and settle in for an evening under the summer sky. Organizers have planned a variety of pre-show activities beginning at 4:30 p.m., including opportunities to meet Alexander Hamilton, Eliza Hamilton, Angelica Schuyler, Peggy Schuyler, George Washington, King George III, and the Schuyler Sisters.
Guests can also test their knowledge with America and Hamilton trivia and enjoy music from the hit musical before the film begins.
The movie will be projected on a large outdoor video wall, creating a unique viewing experience in the heart of downtown Bedford. Fresh popcorn will be available for purchase from the Bedford Historical Society Museum.
Admission and parking are free, making the event an affordable way for families and friends to spend a summer evening together while enjoying one of Broadway’s most celebrated productions.
