The caller states that his car was broken into when it was parked in the back of the “A” building. Upon arrival, the caller observed the passenger rear window to be broken, and the passenger side window to be cracked. The vehicle contained hundreds of dollars worth of tools that were not taken. The male stated that he found a wallet that was left in the vehicle and turned it over to police. The ID on the wallet came back to a male from Garfield Heights. Dispatch contacted Garfield Heights to see if they can make contact with the male in regards to his wallet.

An employee reported a customer making the other customers uncomfortable. The subject was in on Friday and gave his information, then came in on Saturday with different information. He came in Sunday and claimed an employee was being rude to him. The subject has an ankle bracelet and was video taping the employee against their will. The subject was in the showroom wearing an orange jumpsuit and a white baseball hat with a cane today. Other days he didn’t have the cane. The male left without issue. He was advised he is no longer welcome at the dealership.

The caller’s daughter brought marijuana brownies/muffins to school and is now suspended. Mom came to school, but daughter took off running away from the high school. The juvenile was located and returned to her mother.

Broadway Avenue (Dollar General)
An unidentified male and female pretended to use the self checkout kiosk and left the store with an unknown amount of merchandise without paying. The manager was advised to contact the police if they return. The police have photos of the suspect, and the manager does want to pursue theft charges if an identification is made. Photos of the suspects were also put on social media and other law enforcement channels to attempt identification.

Solon Road (CVS)
Officers were flagged down by CVS employees. The store manager states she believes that unknown persons may have attempted to force entry into the building overnight. The only damage at this time is the front entry folding doors which seem to have been pushed in the opposite way of the intended hinge direction. This was causing them to become stuck and rendering the locking mechanism inoperable. The manager at this time would just like this documented as she attempts to contact corporate CVS for repair and further assistance.

The caller is a general contractor and reported jobsite materials and tools were stolen. He spoke to the neighbors since they have cameras, but no one saw anything. If the complainant brings receipts in, and documents proving ownership, an incident report will be created.

A party is at the station to file a report in reference to a neighbor and her nephew following her and watching her. The complainant stated that she lives in a three-family home. The other residents are her nephew and an unknown neighbor. She stated that due to some family-related issues, she feels threatened by the presence of her nephew, although he has not made direct threats. She feels he listens to her through the walls and has befriended the unknown neighbor to conspire against her. She is working on finding a new place to live, but wants the police to be aware of the issue in the meantime.

A male would like to report that a pothole in the road caused damage to his vehicle.  The complainant was driving east on Solon Road just past I-271. He struck a large pothole which damaged the driver’s side rear tire on his car. The complainant has photos of the damage and of the pothole. He was advised to fill out the notice of occurrence claim form and forward it to the Finance Department.

The complainant stated she has had a storage unit with U-Haul since January of 2020. Since she has had the unit, items have gone missing. In January of 2020, paperwork and $300 coats were stolen. Between May 2022 and December of 2022, book bags, paperwork and a dining room table were taken. The complainant stated the dining room table and bags have since been returned. The padlock on the unit is still present and has not been changed since she rented the unit.  The female was advised by U-Haul and the claims department to file a police report. The information is on file.

A male called 911 to report his car was missing. His car was last seen this morning in the parking lot. The caller states it was undrivable, and the caller is not the owner. The owner is his mother who lives in Georgia. The caller reports there appears to be drag marks where it was parked, like someone drug it out of the lot. Contacted private property impounds; they are the only company that tow from this address and they have not towed any vehicles matching this description.

The caller states a male was running down the street towards AutoZone. The caller states the male put his hands on her and her 2-month-old son. The caller refused the squad. The caller states she is walking down the street. The officer located a male crossing the street by the Dodge dealership matching the description. The male was taken into custody without incident.

Last night unknown persons broke into the building and then broke into the key box.  Employees are still reviewing security cameras to determine exactly what was taken, including any cars.

The caller’s car was stolen from the parking lot. She didn’t see anything that happened, but noticed the car was gone when she finished dining.

A male in the lobby reports his vehicle was broken into last night and two firearms were taken. The complainant stated that he parked his vehicle in the apartment lot at approximately 11:00 pm on 2/4/23. When he returned to his vehicle to take a family member home on 2/5/23 at approximately 6:20 a.m., he discovered the rear passenger window broken and his two Glock pistols, an iPhone 11 and a book bag missing. The stolen items totalled $1,503.00.

There was a road rage incident near the cemetery going towards the freeway from downtown.  A male driving a SUV got out of his vehicle and pulled a gun on the caller. The caller drove away in his vehicle and is no longer in the area. Information was broadcasted, and officers searched the area.

A white SUV was driving erratically in the parking lot and looks like it is attempting to hit the kids. The caller is watching from her window as the school is in her backyard. The caller could not tell what the person driving looked like and could not get plate information. The kids are stating that’s their dad.

The caller reports four belligerent guests refusing to leave after being asked. There are no guns or weapons, but two of the party have been drinking. They left and didn’t pay their bill. Management did want to press charges if they could be stopped, but subjects left before officers arrived.

Turney Road (Colony Club Apartments)
The caller reported her friend’s daughter will not leave. She has been screaming in the apartment. The caller is calm and agreeing parties will be able to stay separated while police are en route. She just does not want her to stay there anymore. After speaking with the complainant, officers learned the daughter’s friend has been staying at the apartment for over 30 days and has established residency. The complainant was advised of the eviction process and other options.
