Tuesday, Jan. 8 reports

Location: John Street
Dispatch received a call of a male and female arguing in a the driveway. Upon arrival officers spoke with both parties. They were arguing about the male turning himself in to adult parole. Both of them said it was just an argument and there was nothing physical. The male was taken into custody and transported back to the station to be booked.

Location: Lee Road
Female in the lobby for an escort to the father of her child’s residence. The child’s father is refusing to turn over her daughter. Officer responded to the lobby and spoke with the female. The female stated her daughter ran away from her residence in South Euclid and was picked up by an Uber and transported to the residence of the paternal father’s girlfriend where he currently resides on Lee Road. The female party did not possess the appropriate paperwork showing that she was given full custody of the child following a divorce from the paternal father in 2006. The only documentation provided was a social security card and a medical card for the child. The female also did not know which apartment number the male was residing in. As the female was being advised of her options on retrieving the appropriate paperwork and bringing that back to the station along with the address of the residence on Lee Road, she stormed out of the station. The child was also not reported missing to South Euclid Police Department where she was last seen by the female.

Location: Santin Circle
Caller is being harassed by a female. The caller does not personally know her. She knows her through mutual friends. This female has been coming to her house and trespassing on her property and following her around. Caller is beginning to feel unsafe and would like to make a report. Complainant states that the female came to her house yesterday to confront her and her boyfriend over her breakup from the same male. The female did not did not cause or threaten to cause any physical harm to the complainant, but the complainant states that this is the second time the female has come to her house over the matter. The complainant also reports that she has been getting texts and phone calls from unknown numbers because a fake profile was made using her phone number on a website called “Tag.” The complainant believes that the female made the fake account, but can’t be sure. The complainant was advised to contact the website to have the account taken down and to contact the Police Department  if the female returns to her home. She was also given info on how to obtain a civil protection order. The female was located in leads, but a good phone number was not located for an officer to advise her of the complaint.

Location: Broadway Avenue (Broadway Tattoo)
Three males were shining a light in vehicles. Male could not remember the exact name of the location. He just referred to it as “the tattoo shop on Broadway in Bedford.” Officers spoke to the listed parties and they stated they were shooting a music video. They were advised of the complaint and released.


Wednesday, Jan. 9 reports

Time: 10:50 a.m.
Code: Threats
Location: Union Street
Female owns a home daycare business and would like to report threats received from a father of one of the children she watches. Recently, the complainant spoke with the parents of an 8-month-old child regarding the child not eating at daycare. The father began arguing with the complainant and threatened to assault her. After the argument, the complainant advised the parents that they and their child were no longer allowed to return to her property.

Location: McKinley Avenue
Male in black van was trying to get into the above residence. First he knocked and then got a tool to try and make entry in the back door. Caller is not answering dispatch questions just demanding officers respond to check the home. Dispatch unable to get further information. Caller states the male is now in the house. Caller is sitting in front of the residence watching this male inside the home. Caller is in blue truck waiting. Male is now exiting the house. Male checks OK; he is changing locks for Re/Max.

Location: Flora Drive
Caller states there is a suspicious package in the middle of her drive.  The package has no contact names or address, and she did not order anything. She did pick up the package and shook it, and the package is still in the middle of her drive. The box was full of shipping peanuts that blew out of someone’s garbage into her driveway and left in the driveway.

Location: Broadway Avenue (Automile Inn Bar & Grill)
Employee states there’s a female with a black leather jacket sitting at the bar, intoxicated and refusing to pay her bill. Nothing violent. She’s swearing and yelling and nodding out. Police transporting female to her residence in Maple Heights. Female was turned over to her parents.


Thursday,  Jan. 10 reports

Location: Broadway Avenue
Complainant states he was to receive a package containing two pairs of boots valued at approximately $250 each via UPS but never received his package. Complainant contacted UPS in December advising them of the issue, and they told him their delivery records showed that the package had been delivered. UPS agreed to reimburse the complainant but he never received the reimbursement. Upon calling them back today, UPS advised the complainant that they are still investigating the missing items but would need a police report to be filed before they could further process the return of his transaction. Info was received from the complainant and he was given reference number.

Location: Cresswell Avenue
Caller’s ex-girlfriend stole his cell phone and has been transferring money from his cash app to her account. The complainant said he forgot his phone at his ex-girlfriend’s house several days ago. Today, the complainant checked his cash app and observed that someone made two fraudulent withdrawals totalling $500. The money taken was linked to the complainants NetSpend credit card. The complainant was advised to contact his credit card provider to cancel the account. He was also given the report number to assist in filing a fraudulent use of credit cards report. The complainant and suspect have a child together. There is no way to prove the transaction was fraudulent.

Location: Turney Road (Bedford Green Apartments
Caller states that the female she just made a report on is supposedly at the above location. Female states the other party has her brother with her and he has a gun. Caller is in a Chevy at the front doors waiting for the officers. She is parked next to the Spectrum truck. Officers responded and spoke with female who stated that another female, who previously damaged her property, was en route to her apartment. It was unknown what vehicle this female would be arriving in or if she was for sure coming to the residence. Officers advised female to call if female does show up.

Location: Northfield Road
Officers spoke to the complainant who stated that his wife’s family members wants to take her to the hospital for an evaluation. The male states that he told them no but they are insisting on coming to their residence tomorrow and transporting her to the hospital. The male was advised that it was a civil matter. However, he wanted advice on the situation and on how to get a restraining order. The male was advised of his options and the necessary steps for a restraining order.

Location: Turney Road (Colony Club Apartments)
The complainant came on station to report a missing Nintendo Switch from her apartment. She said a male friend slept over last night and he left this morning. She said she was awake when he left, then she fell back asleep and woke about an hour later. When she got up she noticed her Nintendo Switch was missing and her apartment keys were moved. She believes he took the item from her apartment. She did texted him, and he told her he did not take the Switch. Value $300.

Male is in the backyard attempting to break into the garage. Caller’s husband has a gun on the male now. Male is at the back step of the driveway toward the back of the house. Male in custody. Officers in route to station with male.

Saturday,  Jan. 12 reports

Code: Shoplifting
Location: Northfield Road (Family Dollar)
Shoplifter in the store. Mother is with him.  He took a bunch of snack  items. This is an ongoing thing and the mother wants a report done. Officers reported to the store and spoke with the manager and the suspect’s mother. Her 15-year-old son has been stealing from the store and admitted it to his mother. She brought him to the store to return the items and would like to file a report. The manager elected to allow the boy to work off his debt with the permission of the mother, in exchange for no charges. Approximately $20 of snack items were noted and the mother was provided the report number and advised about juvenile court help.

Location: Ennis Avenue
Caller stated her child’s father stole the tags off her car about 15 minutes ago. He is no longer there. Officers looking for the male at Pizza Hut in Southgate Plaza. The female caller states that her ex was upset that she had a new boyfriend, and he took the plates off of the car this morning. The male will be charged with theft and the plates were entered as stolen.

Female in the lobby to speak to an officer about a male who hit her last night. The complainant reported that her boyfriend assaulted her. The complainant stated that the boyfriend felt that she took too long at the store and when she returned home he questioned her whereabouts. He pushed her several times into walls, damaging the walls. The final act of his assault upon her was that he pushed her onto a couch, then he got on top of her and struck her on the right side of her face with a closed fist. The complainant suffered ruptured blood vessels in her left eye from being shoved onto the couch. The complainant also suffered a split lip during the fracas. Affidavit returned from court showing probable cause to issue a warrant for assault.

Caller stated her handgun was stolen while she was at a party last night. Caller stated she left her purse on the couch while she went to use the restroom, and when she came back the weapon was gone. The caller was unable to to tell officers the address of the party or if the party was located in Bedford. She was advised once she figures out the location to respond to that Police Station for a report.

Code: Unwanted Guest
Location: Talbot Drive
Male at the home refusing to leave. Unknown if there are weapons. Male stated he “has a message for the police, tell the police to bring their guns.” Male is intoxicated. Male is in the bedroom with the children. Male is heading down the stairs. Female was punched by the male. Refusing EMS. Male is now in her vehicle in the driveway. Officers responded to the residence and spoke with both parties involved. The male stated that he has maintained residence there as he still has clothing and mail delivered to that residence regularly. The female party was advised that she was free to leave at any point with the children if the situation became dangerous. The female party was also advised to start the eviction process with the courts in order to remove the male permanently from the residence. Both parties were advised to keep the peace and stay separate for the evening.

Code: Damage to Vehicle
Location: Broadway Avenue
Female is in the lobby to file damage to vehicle report. The vehicle driving in front of her kicked up something back onto her vehicle and damaged the hood. It occurred near the cemetery. Officers spoke to the caller who stated while traveling on Broadway Avenue near the cemetery, a vehicle in front of her kicked up a piece of metal causing minor damage to her hood and windshield. Caller wanted a report on file with the police station.

Location: Tarbell Avenue
Female says her boyfriend punched her in the eye and threw her to the ground. Both parties are drinking. Male went toward Broadway Avenue. Female does not want EMS. Male does not have weapon on him as far as the caller knows. The female says two guns are in the house. They are both locked away. Female has GPS on the male’s phone. Officer responded to the residence and spoke with the female who stated that she had an argument with her boyfriend in the car. The female party stated that the male struck her in the face with a closed fist and then left the area. Officers located the male at the Tavern Off Broadway. She stated that she did not wish to pursue charges. The male was advised of the complaint and asked to stay away for the night. The female called back and said she wished to pursue charges. Officers responded back and there did not appear to be any bruising or signs that she was punched in the face now that she was not crying. The complainant was given a statement form and was advised to bring it to the station tomorrow when sober if she still wished to pursue charges. She also stated she would stay at her mom’s house for the night.

Sunday,  Jan. 13 reports

Time: 12:38 a.m.

Location: Ellenwood Avenue
Caller advised her son is involved in a domestic in the apartment. Fight is physical at this time. No injuries. Subjects were waving knives at each other. Subjects have been drinking. No one else is in the home. Caller is the mother of one of the suspects. She went back to her apartment to avoid the fight. Officers arrived and spoke with both parties. The male stated he was talking to the mother of his children when the female party caught him speaking with her. The female party stated she did not want the male to be in her presence for the evening. Both parties agreed to go their separate ways for the evening and were advised to talk things over in the morning after everything calmed down.

Code: Breaking and Entering
Location: Northfield Road (Bedford Recycling)
Complainant called advising someone broke into the business sometime overnight and got into the safe. Unknown persons entered the business by breaking through the cinder block wall on the north side of the building. Once inside they cut the phone lines and alarm panel wires and disconnected the back-up battery. The subjects then located the safe in a rear storage area and proceeded to hammer and pry open the front lock mechanism. The subject took gold coins, silver bars, and approximately 4 bags of scrap gold and platinum. Total value of theft is estimated at approximately $137,000.00.

Monday,  Jan. 14 reports

Time: 6:46 p.m.

Location: South Circle
The complainant came on station to report an issue with his cousin’s soon to be ex-husband. The male came up to the male over the weekend at a school basketball game. The complainant feels he is trying to provoke a fight or some type of altercation. The male is also contacting family members saying the complainant is holding people at the home against their will. The complainant was advised to contact us should the male come to his home or cause any issues in the city. He was also given advice of how to obtain a civil protection order.

Location: Center Road (Center Park Apartments)
Caller can hear neighbor beating his wife up. Sounds physical at this time. Caller can hear a lot of bumping. There is a baby in the home. It is unknown if there are any weapons. Caller can hear baby and female screaming. Officers spoke to the both male and female half. The female states that she and her child were locked out of the apartment and she attempted to call the male numerous times, but he was asleep and her attempts went unanswered. The female stated that when she finally found a way in to the apartment, she started yelling at her boyfriend because she was outside for so long. The male stated that he was upset because she woke him up out of his sleep and he started yelling back at her. They stated the banging the neighbors heard was just them hitting the door. The male half states he will voluntarily leave for the night to cool down. Both parties stated the dispute was strictly verbal.
