A female is being harassed by the car dealership employee that she bought her car from because she didn’t leave him a review. He keeps calling her and texting her. The salesman who sold her the vehicle asked for her to give him a 10-star rating when the company called her for a survey. He began calling the complainant on a daily basis asking her if she took the survey yet. When she finally completed the survey, the salesman called her and began berating her for the comment(s) she left and that she was messing with his livelihood. An officer spoke with the manager at the business, who stated they were already aware of the situation and were handling the discipline.

The complainant stated that he was contacted by a collections agency regarding a $1,700 loan that was taken out in his name through “MaxLend” an internet-based loan agency. The complainant stated that he contacted the company and was informed the loan was taken out on Dec. 10, 2020 at 1045 hours without his knowledge and then placed into an unknown account through Wells Fargo. The complainant requested that a report be kept on file regarding the fraudulent incident.

The complainant advised that she is being contacted by a company that told her she purchased a couch for $1,200 from Ashley Furniture, and that she has made no payments on the purchase. The complainant said she has never purchased anything from Ashley Furniture and does not have any credit cards. An officer explained she was being scammed, and in the future, to block any unknown phone numbers she receives on her cell phone.

A neighbor witness stated that he observed a younger female and male get into an argument in a vehicle. The male exited the vehicle and went into a house. The witness stated the female then went to a vehicle that was picking her up and took out a small knife as if she was going to slash the tires of the male’s vehicle. Upon arrival officers spoke to both parties who were involved in a verbal confrontation over relationship problems. Officers did not observe damage to the vehicle and both parties separated for the night.

An officer spoke with a male in the lobby for a report of threats. The male stated his sister called him three times and left a voicemail about a will and about obtaining a key to a house. No physical threats were heard via voicemail. The sister was contacted and advised to leave her brother alone and to handle their dispute in court.

A father of a child is on the scene with court paperwork stating he can pick up a child. The mom is on the phone stating the child should be taking the bus.  The father is now on the phone requesting officers to respond. The mother is not there at this time. He was advised by the principal that the child will go with the mom since there is no custody agreement in place. The male left without issue.

A female states her child’s father has been harassing her and threatening to tear her place up because he wants some of his belongings back. The female then stated that while she was in East Cleveland dropping the male off at his home, he shoved her head against the steering wheel. The female did not have any visible injuries, and she was advised to file a report with East Cleveland Police for the alleged assault. She was also advised on how to obtain a protection order through the county and to contact the Police Department if the male returns. The male was contacted and a voicemail was left for him.

A 32-year-old female was found unconscious. Her breathing was shallow and gurgling. The caller now is not sure if it was an overdose and is now stating it may be a seizure. The caller stated she has a history of epilepsy. The patient is being transported to the Bedford Medical Center. There were no signs of any drug usage on the scene.

The caller’s ex-husband just came in and assaulted her. The female is bleeding from the head but is declining EMS. The male was gone upon arrival by police officers. Officers spoke with the victim who stated that her husband had choked and scratched her. She stated in self defense she struck him with a candle holder and cut her finger. Officers took pictures and advised the victim of her options. The victim denied any charges and asked that the officers leave. She said she will call if she wants further police action.

The complainant requested officers speak with him and advise him not to contact her. An officer contacted the male who admitted to calling the complainant. He stated he was having a bad day and needed to talk to her. He was advised she no longer wanted any contact with him. The male stated, “Whatever, f— you guys,” and disconnected the phone call. The complainant was contacted and given options for signing charges for harassing communications. She was also provided advice on how to obtain a protection order.

The complainant stated she was contacted by phone by an energy supply company, and the representative claimed they could save her money on her gas and electric bills. The company requested personal information including her Social Security Number, bank account information and finally a credit card number. The complainant stated that she refused to give a credit card but did provide other information to the company. They claimed they would deposit $50 in her bank account if she switched to their company. She contacted her bank to have her account flagged regarding the issue. She was also given information regarding identity theft and resources she could contact if needed.

Two brothers were involved in a mutual physical altercation. They both fell off the front steps onto the sidewalk. Both had minor injuries. Due to the conflicting stories, officers were not able to determine the primary physical aggressor. They were advised to keep the peace, and one male ended up leaving for the night.

A female heard someone walking in her home. It is a one-floor home, and she’s in the bathroom.  She is a renter, but does not believe it’s the landlord. She hears banging throughout the home. A party is outside with a ladder. A contractor was sent by the property management company to clean the gutters. It appears that the renter was not advised. An officer spoke to the complainant and advised her of the status.

The complainant stated that starting on Friday, 11/05/21, she began receiving several harassing messages via Instagram from her boyfriend’s child’s mother. The messages stated that the subject intends to fight the complainant if she sees her. The complainant has since blocked the subject but wished that the event be documented.

An officer spoke with a female in the lobby for a report of a domestic issue involving her husband. The female stated on 11/1/2021, he came home with food, and he slapped her on the right side of her face for no apparent reason and then left the house. The female stated she has been having ongoing relationship problems with him since 2019 and has recently sought help from an attorney to get a divorce. The female did not sustain any injuries and did not have any visible marks to her face. When asked why she didn’t call Bedford Police Department once the incident occurred, the female stated she did not want the male to get into any trouble and felt that it wasn’t necessary for officers to be present. She was given a written statement to complete and will return it at her leisure. She was also advised on how to obtain a protection order from the county.

Officers spoke to the caller who stated a younger male wearing a mask came into the gas station and started to shop around. She stated the male looked younger so she kept an eye on him. Then she stated he picked a four-pack of hard lemonade, and when she yelled at him, the male fled on foot out of the door. A picture was obtained from the security cameras and the total loss amount was $9.37. If the male gets identified or found the caller would like to press charges.

In the parking lot by the bar that is connected to Gionino’s Pizza, a female has a gun out and is threatening. The caller heard her yelling at a male about sitting on her vehicle. Officers checked the area and could not locate the female. Officers also spoke to multiple people at the bar who stated there was a female who was upset but left, and no one ever pulled a gun.

The caller states the upstairs neighbor is screaming for help. The caller believes she is being beaten up by a male.  Officers made contact with the female and male in the apartment. They stated there was no physical altercation, and that they were just “fooling around.” The female had a mark on her head and stated that it was from an altercation she had earlier this week when she fell on the ground and hit her head. Both parties continued to deny any altercation took place. The male was EWW out of Beachwood for FTA-shoplifting. The male would not comply with officers and pulled away multiple times stating, “I’m gonna make this a problem.” Officers were able to grab the male and place him in handcuffs without further incident. Officers met and turned over the male to the Beachwood Police Department.

The officers did observe loud music coming from the patio but no person(s) were observed outside the business. The bouncer and bartender were advised of the complaint. Both parties agreed to turn the patio music down. The complaint was valid, and no further police action was required.

While on patrol, an officer observed a juvenile get into a Chevy Volt in the overflow lot. Three juvenile males were in the vehicle smoking. All three males attempted to flee. One male was detained at the scene and the other two were caught heading back to the area of Center Road. Contact cards were completed and the three juveniles were released to their guardians, and a small bag of marijuana that was located at the scene was entered into property to be destroyed.

When the caller went into the lot, he put his lights on the male, and the male started walking towards Phil’s Convenience Store. When the caller pulled onto Northfield Road, the male started walking back towards Family Dollar. The male is wearing dark jeans and a hoodie. Officers checked the business and surrounding area, but were unable to locate the male.

The male gathered his belongings peacefully and was advised of trespassing.

Officers responded for a report of a resident who attacked a nurse. Officers spoke with the nurse who stated she entered a male resident’s room to give him his required medication and take his blood pressure. The nurse advised that after the male took his medication with water, he threw the cup on the ground, refusing to have his blood pressure taken until she picked the cup up. The nurse advised she was not going to pick the cup up and began moving away from the bed the male was in. It was at this time the nurse stated the male jumped out of his bed quickly and grabbed the sleeve of her shirt. The nurse attempted to get away from the male by shaking but the male held on and followed her to the door. The nurse then stated that the male raised a fist to her and shouted.  The nurse was eventually able to create enough distance from the male. The nurse does wish to pursue charges.  Officers spoke with the male who stated that he initially grabbed the nurse’s arm as he was falling from his bed. He stated he did grab the nurse’s arm as she exited his room but could not give a reason why he did that.  The male is not diagnosed with any mental illnesses but does have a power of attorney for medical and financial reasons. This case will be sent to the prosecutor’s office for a determination of an assault charge against the male. The victim is wishing to sign charges.

The male is awake now, and the female states he does not get combative. Confirmations were sent after the male refused transport after receiving Narcan.

The caller states her husband was threatening her life last night. He didn’t let her in the house. She is now back in the driveway in a white vehicle. The male is not there at this time, and he advised she had better not be there when he gets back. There are kids in the house — a 12 year old and a 15 year old. The male is known to have a gun, but it is unknown if he has it on him. The male has a history of assaulting the female. An officer said the male left about 45 minutes ago, and the male did say he would return. The officer is checking the area for the male. The male may also be at Center Park Apartments. The female’s male friend lives there. The parties are getting a divorce, and the man she is now seeing lives there. The male’s vehicle was not at the Center Park Apartments, however. The female was told by officers to take her children and go to a more private location to avoid the male. She said she does not have anywhere to go and did not make any attempts to leave. Officers gave the female statement forms to complete and bring back to the police station.

An employee is reporting the store was just robbed by a male possibly wearing all black.  The suspect displayed a gun. The male got into an unknown vehicle and left. The male was alone. He got $200 and a handful of video games. There was no vehicle description. The male had a blue surgical mask with a black zip-up hoodie and baseball hat underneath it. An officer will check Mazda to see if they have any video.  He entered at 1010 hours and left at 1012 hours. An officer will remain out at Game Stop for visibility for the remainder of the shift.

Officers spoke with the complainant in the lobby who stated that at approximately 1350 hours that the father of two of her children, who she broke up with eight years ago, tried to run into her vehicle. The complainant states that she was not expecting the male until 1600 hours to drop off the children per a court order, but as she was in her vehicle preparing to leave the lot of her apartment, he pulled in at a high rate of speed and pulled head-on in front of her vehicle. This led her to believe he was trying to strike her vehicle. The complainant also provided officers with a text from the male that she believes to be harassing her. All information was documented.

The caller states that she left her vehicle at Los Gallos overnight, and her vehicle is not there. The female spoke with management, and they did not tow the vehicle. The vehicle was parked in the rear lot. Contact was made with the property owner, who advised that she did not have the vehicle removed either.

The caller states that her 18-year-old daughter is there, and she’s refusing to leave. She doesn’t live there. Upon arrival, officers spoke to the complainant who advised that her daughter was being disrespectful and refused to leave. The complainant stated that her daughter lives with her father. The incident started when the complainant would not allow her daughter to use her vehicle. The complainant stated that her daughter is not covered on her insurance and due to the weather conditions (snowing), she did not want her driving. The daughter started calling her names. The complainant stated that she will not be disrespected in her house. Officers spoke to the daughter who advised that she contacted a friend who arranged for a ride. The daughter was advised to wait in an area away from her mother to keep the peace while she waits for her ride. The mother agreed to let her stay until the ride arrives because she does not want her in the cold.

The female in the lobby stated she hosted a wedding for a couple on 10/30/21. The couple were not happy with her services and have since been contacting her repeatedly. Today she received text messages from the male of the couple indicating he would physically harm her. The complainant was advised to send a screenshot of the messages to the police. The complainant stated she is willing to refund the money for the wedding. An officer spoke with the male regarding the text messages. He stated he did not threaten the caller in any of his messages. He stated he has all of his texts that he sent to the caller and can provide them if needed. The male stated the caller was to give him a refund for the wedding, and he has not received any money from her. The male stated he will take the matter up in civil court. He stated he will not contact the complainant anymore.

The complainant came on station to report that he is being mentally and physically abused at home. The complainant’s story was confusing about how he was being mentally abused. He has some conversations recorded of his father yelling at him for not doing the dishes. The physical abuse reportedly took place on Saturday, but he could not explain why he waited until today to make the report. There were no visible injuries, and no one saw the assault. He also believes his father is practicing witchcraft in the home. The complainant is in the process of moving out. He was advised to call the police if he has issues with his father.

A female reports that her child’s father sent her a video of him holding a gun saying that the bullets were for the female’s new boyfriend. The female stated that her new boyfriend would not want to pursue any criminal charges, but she wanted the incident documented because she is scared for her safety. Officers made contact with the father, and he was advised not to have contact with the female.

Officers were unable to determine if there was any new damage due to contamination of the scene by the complainant. The homeowner states she hasn’t heard anyone in the home. The complainant was advised on securing the basement doors permanently.

The manager said they have tried to repossess the vehicle and were unable to find the unknown subject by any of the information that he gave to the dealership. Upon searching the vehicle, some of the items taken from the store were found. The store declined charges and the items were returned. The operator was cited for driving under suspension.

No theft was reported for that evening, but the male is seen displaying odd behavior, and the complainant feels he may have something to do with recent thefts. The facilities manager will be providing video of the suspicious activity as soon as a copy can be made.

He pointed out minor nicks and scratches, but nothing appeared to be consistent with a malicious act. The male also pointed out other marks that he claimed were made by other persons in the past. Upon arrival, the officer spoke with the manager who gave a description of the male and said he walked up the stairs at the rear of the parking lot and headed toward the area of Tarbell Avenue and Woodrow Avenue. Officers checked the area at first and could not locate the suspect. Soon after, an officer saw an individual walking through back yards near the area of Dollar General. The male was identified as the male who was involved with the shoplifting incident. After speaking with the manager of Dollar General, he said he only wanted the male to be advised of trespassing from the store.

The caller is an employee and needs to report a possible break-in last night. Upon arrival, an officer spoke to the complainant who advised that two storage units, which are side by side, were broken into. The complainant contacted the occupant of one of the units, and they responded to check the unit. Per the complainant, nothing appears to be missing at this time and the occupant put another lock on the storage unit. Another unit had the lock pried off of the hasp, damaging the mechanism. Entry was made into the unit. The occupant lives in Florida and was contacted. They will have someone respond to check the unit. The officer advised the complainant to call if someone comes to check on the unit so a report can be taken if items are missing.

Officers made contact with the male complainant who advised that the male unwanted guest came to the residence and knocked on the door. The complainant advised he does have a court order advising no contact but was unable to produce the court order. An officer spoke with the male unwanted guest via telephone who advised he was never present at the residence. While speaking with the male on the telephone, it appeared the male was walking. Both parties appeared to check okay and neither had any signs of physical injuries.

The two males ran from the store when the employee confronted them. The employee stated he recognized subject one from his backpack as a friend of a former employee. Officers responded are in pursuit traveling north on Northfield Road with no traffic. The pursuit is now at Northfield Road and Columbus Road going 70 mph with no traffic. Bedford Heights has been notified. The chase is now approaching Rockside Road at 80 mph and no traffic. The pursuit is at Libby Road approaching speeds of 90 mph with light traffic. The chase car is now traveling south on I-271 reaching speeds of 95 mph. Oakwood Village was advised for stop sticks on I-271 southbound. The car is getting off at Broadway Avenue and Forbes Road. The car is now traveling north on I-271. Two occupants are in the car. The car is now on I-480 heading west at 85 mph with no traffic. The car is now getting off at Lee Road. The vehicle is stopped at McCracken Road and Johnston Parkway. The Garfield Heights Police Department was advised and is en route. The two suspects are in custody following a successful PIT manuever.

The caller advises they found a suspicious rifle wrapped up and tucked away in a vehicle at this location for service. Officers responded and spoke with the complainant who stated there appears to be a rifle that is heavily wrapped in tape and secured to the bottom of a customer’s truck. The complainant stated the truck is allegedly being shipped overseas tomorrow. Officers photographed the package and removed it from the truck. It was returned to the station and opened. A rifle was located within the packaging. The ATF was contacted for investigation. A male came to the station to pick up his rifle, and he was given the OK to take it.

The complainant stated while viewing video surveillance today, he observed an employee remove calibration charts from a binder and walk out of the business with them. The documented charts contained dates that nail polish bottles were filled and the capacity of the filled bottles. The charts taken were dated from 7-7-21 to 12-3-21. The complainant did not wish to pursue any charges and will have the employee terminated on Monday. No further police action.

A male stated that while he was walking out of Giant Eagle, he witnessed a shopping cart traveling south in the parking lot at a high rate of speed which then struck the driver side of his vehicle. The male then stated he observed a female, whom he believed to be the person that let go of the shopping cart, get into her vehicle and drive away. A very minor dent was made on the male’s vehicle. An officer followed up with Giant Eagle to view video surveillance. Video shows a female pushing her cart into the cart corral. A few seconds later, the cart is seen traveling backwards out of the corral and into the male’s vehicle. The male was contacted and advised that the female was not responsible for the cart damaging his vehicle.

The caller advises her son’s father just assaulted her and her boyfriend and left with the child. The caller advises the father was there to drop off her children. The male half is advising that the mother attempted to stab him with a knife. He is also advising that the female’s boyfriend punched him in the face. The female is back on the line. The boyfriend is hurt. He was hit in the face, and his mouth won’t stop bleeding. He requires an ambulance.  Officers responded for the report of a disturbance. Two participants involved in the disturbance both contacted the police for assistance. An officer spoke with the boyfriend, who had a large bump on his forehead and a cut to his lip. The boyfriend stated the male punched him multiple times in the head with a closed fist. He was unsure if he wanted to pursue charges at this time. Pictures were taken of his injuries. An officer is with the father in the police lobby. He stated he was dropping off his kids at the mother’s house and wanted to talk to her about an ongoing issue with his children being picked on. He stated the female came at him with a knife and may have stabbed him. Officers did not observe any apparent injuries consistent with being stabbed. He did not want to pursue charges or complete a written statement. Officers escorted the father back to the residence to drop off his kids. The female completed a written statement and was advised of her options.

The caller said her 19-year-old daughter was throwing stuff in the house and breaking things. The daughter and her girlfriend drove off in a Ford. The caller said the girlfriend has a black gun, and the caller said she saw it today. The caller still wants to speak with officers about property damage.  The female stated earlier today, she and her daughter got into a verbal argument over the wifi accidentally being disconnected and about their current living situation. After the argument, the daughter threw dishes on the ground and left the house with her girlfriend. The black gun mentioned by the female did not play a factor in the argument, and she was advised to contact the police department if her daughter were to return and cause any problems.

Detectives spoke with the male who stated he believes his brother is trying to have him beaten up or killed in order to have ownership of the house, to receive all of the $50,000 life insurance from their mother passing and to gain the settlement from a class action suit the complainant and his mother were a party to. He also believes his co-defendant from a previous crime has people trying to kill him. The male was advised he cannot remain in the lobby indefinitely and to call if he is threatened or has actual evidence of a crime.

An officer spoke with a male in the lobby for a report of fraud. The male stated he received a phone call from “Amazon Support” stating that someone fraudulently used his Amazon account to purchase a tablet for $800. The person acting as Amazon support advised the male to purchase three $500 Target gift cards from Giant Eagle. The male followed said instructions, purchased the gift cards using his credit card and provided a picture of the revealed card numbers to the scammer. The male then contacted his credit card company and advised he was a victim of a scam. The credit card company then cancelled his credit card, and he will be reimbursed.

There is screaming and yelling going on at a residence on the street. People are in the front yard. A car just pulled out and left and is now sitting in the roadway. Officers spoke to the caller who stated her mother became irate calling them profane names and spit in her face. The female stated that she didn’t want to do anything and just wanted to get her sisters away from her mother. The mother allowed her kids to go with her sister for the night. The caller was given advice on how to deal with her mother in the future.

The caller said her daughter’s boyfriend is threatening the daughter and said he was going to come over. The caller said multiple times that if he shows up, he will get shot. She then disconnected. Officers spoke to the caller who stated that her daughter’s boyfriend is extremely irate because she is pregnant, and she wants to break up with him. The daughter was not being fully cooperative with officers and would not give the full story about the male when asked. The caller stated that the male called the daughter and threatened to shoot up her house and her sister’s house in Cleveland. While officers were on the scene, the male called the daughter multiple times and officers answered for her. The male was extremely irate and deranged and would not let officers talk to him or get his side of the story. Officers asked the daughter if she wanted press charges for menacing or telecommunications harassment, but she was hesitant because of having to go to court. The mother requested special attention on the residence. The daughter decided right now that she just wants a restraining order and was advised on how to go about retaining one. Lastly, the daughter stated if anything changes she will come into the police department to pursue charges.

A female and male were arguing and the female was biting the male.  The female is stating that her chest hurts now. The female can be heard crying in the background. Both parties are intoxicated. Officers responded to the listed location for a possible domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, officers spoke with the husband who stated that during a verbal argument his wife bit him. She then fell to the ground and had what he believed at the time was a seizure. Officers attempted to speak with the female, but she was having a severe panic attack and was unable to talk. The husband declined any charges. The Bedford Fire Department assisted the female.

A male was sitting in the dealership lot and advised he was a porter. He stated he was concerned for the safety of the vehicles in the lot and sometimes sits there at night. The male appeared slightly disoriented and advsied officers there were people out to get him at his apartment complex. After the male was advised it would be best he left, he then parked his vehicle inside the car wash. The male was again advised it would best if he left until his employment could be verified. The male eventualy left.

An officer is checking on a vehicle that pulled up next to a female. There appears to be some sort of disturbance. The officer stopped and talked to the male and female, and  the male was highly upset. The female explained that she and her husband were involved in a verbal argument earlier in the night and she just wanted to walk home. The husband left in the vehicle, and the wife was provided a courtesy ride home due to weather conditions and to keep the peace. The wife was advised that since she lives in Maple Heights, if there is a future problem to call their police department.

Officers responded to the residence for a report of suspicion due to the complainant advising an unknown female is sitting on her porch. Officers made contact with the female who advised she believed the residence was her son’s. The female appeared to be confused. Officers determined she was entered as a missing person through Maple Heights Police Department. The female declined any assistance from officers and declined being seen by EMS. Dispatch made contact with the female’s son who arrived on the scene to transport the female home. No further police action is required.
