Warrensville Center Road (Giant Eagle – Maple Heights)
A person was shot in the parking lot near the Giant Eagle sign closer to the street. A male heard five gunshots and then saw a male by the street. He asked male if he was good, and the male shook his head no. Security is with the male. The suspects possibly came from the studio. It is safe to approach the parking lot. A female caller states she was in the studio and heard gunshots. There are fresh footprints by the dead end leading back to the studio. The back door is open.  The victim has a gunshot wound to the chest. He is conscious and breathing. A witness said there were two males running west on Stockton Avenue at that time, matching the description. Shaker Heights is checking to see if they can send a K-9. A perimeter needs to be set up north, west and south of Stockton. Officials are requesting Bedford to do a perimeter on the studio, upstairs of the hair salon and game store, next door to Papa John’s. A Chagrin Falls K-9 is en route. Owner of one of the stores says there is a female at the bus stop who may have information. The victim was identified at Metro Hospital. K-9 tracking is starting on Stockton Avenue. Metro notified the parents and they are en route. Someone at Shell will be on scene to access video footage tomorrow. There are no cameras facing Giant Eagle at this location.

A 33-year-old female advised she was assaulted by a known male suspect in the home. The suspect is not at the apartment. The victim is conscious and alert. The male arrived in a black Audi in the lot. The victim arrived later,  and then the male took her phone away and began to assault her. The female stated she has multiple bruises on her body. According to the victim,  when officers were at this location earlier, she was told by the suspect to hide in a room and not make any sounds. The male has been arrested and is in custody for domestic violence.

She stated she has never used a payday loan business before and was advised she needs a police report to get it removed from her credit report.

A female started her vehicle to let it warm up. She went back inside and noticed the car was no longer there. The car is a white Kia Rio. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the vehicle. The vehicle was entered into the records.

A caller paid for a tattoo today that she doesn’t like. She voiced her concern to the owner who responded with threats of physical harm to the caller. He followed her out of the shop, continuing to threaten her as she left and took a picture of her license plate. She’d like to see an officer about the threats and attitude of the owner she encountered today. The owner called to advise that the above female smashed a statue at his shop on her way out. Officers spoke to both parties, and they were advised it’s a civil matter

A male said someone is blackmailing him via Facebook. The complainant was advised that he was the target of a common blackmail scheme. The male stated he gave the unknown person $200 and his phone number. The complainant was told not to give any further money or information to the scammer and to get a new phone number.

The caller wants to file a report about her neighbors harassing her. She said they also threatened her this morning. The female stated at 1430 hours today, her neighbor told her, “You’re gonna get it,” for no apparent reason. The female stated the male has been served his eviction paperwork, and she just wanted this to be documented. She was advised to limit interaction with her neighbor until he is moved out.

In an effort to deescalate the situation, the male wanted to come into the police department and show text messages between both parties and to have this documented. The male was advised to file a CPO if he felt it was needed.

A female is upset that her ex’s girlfriend dropped off presents and wants to report the violation.  An officer spoke with the female who dropped the presents off. There was no malicious intentions on her part. She stated she was doing a favor for a friend. She stated she will not drop off anything else again. The complainant was advised and satisfied with this.

Officers spoke to the complainant about a potential theft. He stated he received an email notification that his package was stolen from his porch. He called customer service, and they advised to give it one more day and to check with the post office. He stated that his mother’s credit card, which was also delivered today, was not stolen. Officers advised him to follow the directions of the customer service representative and to initiate a lost package claim with them. He alleges the value of the package was $41. Officers checked the area and found no cameras in view of his residence.

A female reports that a package delivered by UPS on Dec. 23 was taken from her front porch sometime between 1415 and 1800 hours. The package contained two Nike shirts and a Nike hoodie. The value of the package was $85. There are no cameras or witnesses to the theft.

The caller says a second-level kitchen window is broken out and she thinks she hears someone in the home. The last tenant had been evicted and the caller is the property manager.  The downstairs tenant says she could hear doors slamming. The caller had the broken window boarded yesterday, and today the board is removed.  The caller is waiting for the police outside. When officers arrived there was no one on the property.

The caller was advised to stay away from his wife until officers get there. Officers spoke with both parties. The male stated his wife was fighting with him. The female stated she just wanted her husband to leave. The male agreed to leave to keep the peace.

A male said a female neighbor stole rings, a tattoo gun, baby Converse shoes and mirrors out of his car in the parking lot. The male said he will be waiting by the door for officers. The male called back to state he left because the female threatened him. Now he is on his way to the station. The male is now not coming to the police department because he has been drinking, he has a suspended license and has warrants. He was advised to contact the courts on Monday to take care of the warrants, and if would like an escort, to have a friend bring him to the police department.

The complainant stated he cashed a check from a female and male for $3,219 on December 19, and on Dec. 23 the bank notified him the check was rejected. The male contacted the female who stated the check was good, and she would go to the bank with him. An officer left a voicemail for the female. The complainant stated he will follow up with the bank and the female before pursuing charges against her.

The caller states her vehicle has broken windows, doors, and four flat tires. It is unknown who may have done this. She stated the damage happened last night, and the neighbors have cameras. The complainant stated approximately an hour ago he went to Circle K to get gas. The male tried two different gas pumps but was unable to pump gas. The male noted one of the pump’s credit card reader was difficult to access. The male checked his bank statement and found a pending charge of $76.00 from Circle K. The male cancelled the credit card and contacted his credit bureau who requested a police report.

The female alleges at around 1000 hours today, while she was at her boyfriend’s house, her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend came over and punched her in the mouth with a closed fist,. The suspect then left in an unknown direction. The female was not injured, but just wanted a report documented.

A female states her ex-boyfriend jumped on her vehicle and broke the windshield. There were two separate incidents, one at the above address and another in South Euclid. This incident occurred last night. The male is not on the scene now. An officer is en route to the hospital where this allegedly happened. Officers spoke to the highly intoxicated female at her residence. She stated that around 2100 hours last night, she got into an argument with her ex-boyfriend while at the Dalepark Drive address. She attempted to leave and he was blocking her car. She made it past him and drove away, but he allegedly followed her in his car to the Bedford Medical Center. At that time, she alleged that he “jumped up on my hood and smashed my s—.” She then openly admitted about further details, that she did strike him with her car and he told her that he planned on filing a police report. Officers photographed the damage, checked for video footage at the hospital (none found), and left two voicemails for the male suspect. During that time, the female called back to dispatch, highly upset because she wanted a report filed and photos to be taken, even though officers explained to her three times that the department would review footage, call the suspect, and call her back when it was completed.  Security officers at the hospital checked from 2000-2200 hours and found no such activity in the parking lot like the female claimed. They stated they will continue to look through the footage and would advise if they find it. Officers called the female back, and she was once again rambling and was hard to understand. She was advised that if she attempted to strike him with her vehicle, the department could not charge the male with criminal damage. After she was advised of this, she suddenly elected not to pursue any criminal charges for the damage, she just wanted him to leave her alone. Officers will call the number she provided for the male again to advise him to leave her alone.

The caller’s 16 year-old-son is arguing with the caller. The caller is intoxicated. Apparently the son is upset with her drinking. The caller is yelling and screaming and swearing at her son. The mother was highly intoxicated and was stating she felt disrespected by her son for being intoxicated. The mother wanted to kick her 16-year-old son out and was advised against it. Both parties stated they will attempt to stay away from each other for the night to keep the peace.

Both parties stated they had an argument over a house phone. The male left prior to officers’ arrival with his belongings and the caller’s phone. The phone was returned to the caller and the male and his son were given a ride to the station to look for an alternative ride.

The complainant has had issues with a neighbor in the past, but there is no evidence to prove it was him. No primary aggressor was determined. The father agreed to leave for the night to keep the peace.

A caller is reporting that there is a resident outside shooting his gun. Another caller from the area is also reporting rapid-fire sounds like an automatic weapon. A caller called back stating that they are moving vehicles around now. The caller states he has it on video. He would like to show officers. One vehicle left. The parties were uncooperative. An officer spoke to the complainant and watched the video. The video was dark. The gunfire could be heard, but no one could be seen. The complainant was advised that the information would be documented.

Officers searched the immediate area of the room, and no narcotics were located. No signs of drug abuse were found on scene. No Narcan was administered. The male was breathing but unconscious. He was transported to the Bedford Medical Center.

The other male is in custody.

Shortly after the fight, one of the males felt light-headed. A squad responded and transported the male to the hospital. Neither male wanted to pursue charges, and both agreed it was a mutual altercation.

A male just kicked a hole in the garage door at this residence. He is sitting in the driveway now. Someone has now come to the front door, but they are not allowing him inside. The caller is advising they are talking. A squad is requested for a male who is bleeding from the hand. He did a lot of damage to the house and is being transported to the Bedford Medical Center for injuries to his hand.

An employee is reporting a male and female physically fighting outside. The female picked up rocks and signs from the business and was throwing them at the male. The male was in the store renting a vehicle and she came in to fight him. The male is trying to restrain the female, but she keeps trying to fight him. Another person also called who is familiar with the situation and advised the female is known to be very violent and is not afraid to fight police. The officers responded to Enterprise. The male stated as he and his girlfriend were near the entrance door, she began to argue with him. The male then stated the female spat at him, grabbed his T-shirt and threw rocks at him because she was upset that he has a child with another female. The male restrained her to prevent any further misbehavior at that time. The female then entered her vehicle as an officer arrived, and she fled the scene. The male was not injured but had a minor scratch on his chest from the altercation. He did not want to complete a statement or pursue any charges. No further police action.

She went to this address to get it back and the resident told her they do not have it.  Officers spoke to the current resident who stated he never received the package, but has children who may have seen it. The resident will call the department if he is able to locate the package. The female was advised to contact GameStop and FedEx.

The caller says a male who is following him just threatened to kill him and told him to call the cops. The other male is a coworker. He pointed his finger like a gun, but no gun was seen. The caller says there was some pushing and shoving, and the male who made the threat is still on scene. The males will avoid any interaction and call back if there are any further issues. The owner of the company arrived on the scene and will handle the matter.

A caller thinks a neighbor came inside her home and took a cord to her TV. She had the door open the other day and thinks they came in at some point and took it. She is not sure if it was a theft or a prank. The caller stated she recently bought a smart TV. The caller went to turn the TV on for her daughter this morning, and it was not working properly with the HDMI cord missing. As of now, there is nothing else missing from the home or manipulated. The caller will update officers if anything comes up missing or damaged throughout her home.

The caller is a third party customer. She states the clerk kept telling her to leave because the clerk just got robbed. They have no idea where the male went. There were no weapons seen. His hands were in his pockets. The caller walked in to get ice, and the subject entered behind her. He went to the register, and she went to the back. As she came up, the subject was gone and the clerk told her to leave because she was just robbed. He left heading towards Sunoco. Maple Heights Police Department has been advised. An officer is checking side streets in Maple Heights. The male handed the cashier a note that said. “I have a gun. Hand me all the money and you won’t get hurt. No weapon was seen. The marketing manager arrived on scene, and the video was secured. The male was wearing grey-colored gloves. The total amount taken was approximately $79.00.

Officers spoke with a complainant via phone call who stated that she was in a Facebook Messenger conversation with someone she thought was her friend. The complainant states she and the unknown person were having a conversation about federal grants and she gave the person her personal info (full name, address, phone number, monthly income, homeowner status). The complainant later talked to her friend (the real friend) who stated the person on Facebook was not her. Officers advised the complainant not to give out her info, and to check with her banks and credit bureau to ensure no one is using her info.

The caller is with a foster agency. She was on the phone with the caregiver of a 15-year-old girl. The child is breaking items, and is a “high level foster with history of assault.” While on the phone, the caller heard items being broken in the background and at one point heard someone shout she has a lamp in her hand. The caller states she will be combative with police. Officers arrived on the scene. The foster child was placed in this foster care home yesterday.  There was broken glass in the kitchen area that she admits she broke. She then cleaned it up. She was very calm when officers were present. During this call the foster mother was very unreasonable in not allowing the girl to use the restroom or go in her bedroom. An officer spoke with the case worker. She stated the foster child just needs to be transported downtown and they can take her in. An officer transported the juvenile without an incident.

A male came into the police department lobby stating that at approx 1400 hours today, he went into Subway and purchased food. Later, he went to Sunoco, but when he attempted to pay for gas, he realized he was missing his debit card. The male called his wife and told her to cancel the debit card. At this time she informed him that his debit card was charged $189.00 at Target in Macedonia at 1540 hours today. An officer will follow up with Subway in an attempt to gain video from the store regarding this incident.

A male with a gun tried to rob the store. He ran towards Sunoco on the side street. He was wearing a grey hoodie,  blue jeans and a mask. The caller did not see the weapon, but the male had a note. Mckinley Street was checked, and Bedford Heights Police were advised. The male changes his clothes to white or black jacket and blue jeans. Officers are out with parties at Blaine Avenue/Grace Street. A squad is requested for an evaluation.

The owner of a vehicle stated that he was upstairs in his apartment and heard a loud noise. The male went downstairs and saw that a vehicle struck the driver side rear of his vehicle. The male stated he believes it was a blue Chrysler which was parked next to him earlier. An officer observed a blue Chrysler in the lot of the apartment complex with passenger-side damage. Photos were taken of both vehicles. The driver of the Chrysler is unknown at this time. An officer was able to get a hold of the owner. She stated it was her daughter driving. Officers then spoke with the owner’s daughter who stated she made a wide turn exiting her parking spot and struck the vehicle. Insurance was gathered and added to the report.

The complainant believes she left her phone on the table last night. It is not in the restaurant now. The manager is asking for officers to be present to review the tapes for her. The female stated that yesterday, she was eating at the restaurant, and while eating, she had an allergic reaction and was rushed to UH. The female left her phone on the table, but when she returned later to retrieve it later, it was gone. The female wanted the police department to assist her with viewing the video. Los Gallos employees stated they cannot view video from the restaurant but to call management. The female will call management tomorrow.

A male was observed standing on the side of the building, behind some bushes, and then he began to approach a vehicle parked near him. The male observed an officer driving by, and he abruptly turned around and put his phone to his ear. He walked toward Dalepark Drive and then back to Northfield Road. The male was identified and told why the officer was speaking with him. He stated he understood it looked suspicious, but he was just waiting for a ride to a party.

Officers are out with a male in the middle of the roadway. The Maple Heights Police has the male detained. A squad has been called for the male since he is highly intoxicated. He was transported to the Bedford Medical Center. During a patdown search of the male for weapons, a pair of vise grips was located in his waistband and some suspected marijuana was located on his person. Those items were seized and placed into property for disposal. The male was transported without incident and was advised to sober up.

Officers responded to the residence for a report of an unwanted guest. Officers made contact with the male guest who was intoxicated and stated he was involved in a verbal only altercation and was waiting outside for a ride to leave for the evening. Officers responded to the residence (again) for a report of an unwanted guest. Officers had responded to the residence two times prior to this call for service regarding the same male. The person reporting stated the male was outside of the building causing a disturbance by yelling and swearing at other residents. The male ultimately agreed to be given a ride back to the police department lobby in order for him to make arrangements there to keep the peace for the evening. The male is having some type of episode. The officer will attempt to follow up with his mother.

A caller states a male keyed her car. The male and his mother are still in the parking lot in a Mazda. The caller’s vehicle is an Escalade. The caller is inside and the mother and son are outside. The complainant stated she was parked in between two handicapped parking spaces awaiting her food order. A Mazda pulled up next to her and the female driver began to yell at her. The complainant stated she then went into the business establishment to get her food. She looked outside and observed a juvenile male approach the driver’s side door of her vehicle and keyed it. The male then got into the Mazda and left the area. Pictures of the scratches were taken.  Officers located the Mazda and spoke with the female driver. She stated there was no altercation between her and the caller. She denied any involvement with the damage to the complainant’s vehicle.  An official contacted the juvenile prosecutor for a ruling.

Officers were dispatched to a business for a theft of vehicle seats. Sometime in the past week, the keys for the vehicle went missing from their building, and the two front seats were stolen from the car. They suspect it is someone inside or with knowledge of the business, but due to the high traffic and lack of video footage in their building, they can not say for sure that it is an employee. Multiple people have been in the vehicle since the theft and no physical evidence was noted on the vehicle. The complainant just wanted it documented for insurance purposes and will follow up if they find anything on the outside security camera footage. The approximate value for both seats is $1,800.

The male stated that about a month ago, his vehicle was stolen in Glenwillow Village. The male had not heard any follow up regarding the vehicle since, but learned today that the vehicle was found in Cleveland and that it was set on fire. The complainant is getting text messages from two numbers (not in service) from the person whom he believes stole his vehicle — a former employee who he fired in December of last year. The former employee is asking the complainant for $300 if he would like to get his tools back that he allegedly stole from the vehicle before setting it on fire. The complainant stated he may be taking his family to stay in a hotel for the next couple of days. The complainant believes the male may try to come to his house. The male would like special attention to his house at the above address.

Officers spoke to the female who stated that she was having chest pains from a heart attack that she had six years ago. She states that she was assaulted but would not state how she was assaulted and continued to say that she just wanted to go to the hospital for tightness in her chest.

A female called 911 and stated that her boyfriend just put hands on her, and that she is outside with no shoes on. She disconnected, and the phone just goes to voicemail on callback. Officers responded to the residence for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officers made contact with the female person reporting, who was inside her vehicle. She stated her boyfriend put his hands on her. The female was emotional and stated they were involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical regarding their relational issues. The female did not appear to have any injuries and did not request to be seen by my EMS. Officers then made contact with the male who stated the female does not live at the residence and that he would just like the female to leave. The male stated they also have both been drinking. The male stated the female attacked him and caused him to hit his head and then proceeded to hit him in the face. The male did have a small bruising on his head and a red mark on his eye. Both parties declined to pursue charges and agreed to separate for the evening. The male also requested an escort from the police department if the female needs to return to the residence, and he was advised on how to do so. Both parties were also advised to contact the police if they wish to pursue charges at a later date.

The caller states two unknown people threw a brick through her kitchen window, and a rock was also thrown through the front window of her home. The complainant’s in-home camera system showed an unknown male wearing a mask and light colored clothing go to the rear of her home. You can then hear the window breaking, and the male then ran to the front of the house. Her doorbell camera was not functioning very well, but you could see another party in all black standing near the sidewalk and the driveway. You then hear more glass breaking. The parties then run west on Marion and get into an unknown vehicle down the street. The only issues the complainant has is with her child’s father, but she could not say if that was the person that threw the items through her window. She has insurance. She is not sure who would have done it but she states that a phone number kept calling her right before it happened, and when she called it back a female asked her how her windows were looking.

The complainant stated that she was attacked by her upstairs neighbor. The complainant said that she went upstairs to address a parking complainant and her neighbor pulled her into her apartment, threw her on the ground and punched her in the face several times. The downstairs neighbor had swelling to her face and was bleeding from her lip, and the other female had red marks on her chest. The upstairs neighbor said that the downstairs neighbor entered her house to attack her mother, and the upstairs neighbor admitted to knocking the complainant to the ground and to punching her. She also stated that the complainant kicked and damaged her door. Both females claim to have weapons (the upstairs neighbor had a pistol sitting on the counter which was secured by officers during this whole time) and both made threats to each other to watch their backs, and that they would destroy each other’s cars. The complainant wanted to pursue charges for assault. She also requested a squad and was asking if she went to the hospital if that was enough to pursue charges. She decided not to go to the hospital. Officers were unable to determine the primary physical aggressor, and both parties were left statement forms. They were both advised to stay away from each other. There is a common walkway/hallway to get upstairs where the upstairs neighbor lives. The complainant was advised to not use the walkway and the upstairs neighbor was advised that if she or her family had to use the walkway in order to leave, to not yell towards the complainant. Both parties returned statements to the station on 01/19/21. All statements were forwarded to the prosecutor for a ruling.

Officers were called to a Turney Road apartment for an unauthorized use of motor vehicle report. The caller believed her 14-year-old granddaughter took the vehicle with keys and left. While on the phone with the complainant, dispatch advised that the Garfield Heights Police Department just reported a hit-skip with the previously mentioned vehicle, and the vehicle was being driving by juvenile female driver. Officers then responded to the apartment and located the suspect vehicle in the parking lot with front end damage. The juvenile’s mother returned home and the juvenile was located hiding in one of the back bedrooms. Garfield Heights responded for their accident report and collected all their information. The juvenile’s mother was advised of how to fill out an unruly on her daughter. The juvenile was cited by Garfield Heights for hit-skip.

The complainant came on station to report that his gun was stolen from his house in Cleveland on 01/19/21 by his ex-girlfriend who lives in Bedford. The Cleveland Police Department did make an initial report, but he did not have the serial number to have it entered as stolen. Cleveland told him to come to Bedford and officers can go to the house and try to retrieve the gun for him. He was told that if his gun was retrieved, it would be held at the Bedford Police Station until he could prove ownership. Bedford officers responded to Columbus Road and attempted to contact the female. Officers made contact with her mother through a window who stated the female was not home, and she did not know where she was. She was advised of the situation and that if the female did have the gun, she can turn it in to the Bedford Police Department. The complainant was advised to finish his report in Cleveland and was sent on his way.

The employee then received a phone call from the actual owner of the credit card shortly after the card was charged. The owner of the card stated he did not order any tires and that some unknown person had his credit card information. An officer spoke with the owner of the credit card who stated the dealership kindly voided the $600 transaction and the card was cancelled by his bank.

The caller reports an ex-employee just assaulted another employee. Both are still on the scene. The ex-employee is outside the building. No injuries were reported. Upon arrival, officers located the complainant who stated another male, who recently got fired from the business, assaulted him. The assault occurred in the rear parking lot on the south side of the business. The complainant also stated the altercation was regarding on-going issues due the male being fired. The complainant did have a cut on his left hand and photographs were taken.  The male left prior to officers arrival, and contact was made with the male via telephone. The male stated the complainant and he were involved in a verbal-only altercation. He stated he did have scrapes on his hands as well but alleged nothing physical occurred. He also did not want to give a statement or complete a witness statement. The complainant was unsure if he wanted to pursue charges and was advised to contact the department if he wishes to pursue charges at a later date. He was also advised on the protection order process and given a witness statement to complete. Due to the altercation, the manager advised he wanted the male trespassed from the business which he was advised.

A black Jeep SUV is in the driveway occupied. The caller doesn’t know who it is. The caller lives alone. The black Jeep is pulled towards the garage, all the way up her driveway. The Jeep is currently leaving and heading towards Columbus Road. The Jeep is parked out front and the lights are turned off. Officers advised the vehicle is running, and now heading north on Washington Street. It is now on Columbus Road traveling at 70 mph. There is no traffic and the weather is clear. Heading north on Northfield Road. The Maple Heights Police Department has been advised. The car crossed over Rockside Road going 75 mph, approaching Libby Road. Bedford Heights was advised of pursuit, units were unable to set up stop sticks. Officers are transporting one male back to the station. Bedford Heights also advised the owner of the vehicle called them at 0250 hours to advise he thinks his vehicle was possibly repo’d, then stated it was possibly stolen. Bedford Heights advised him to call the loan company in the morning to see if it was repo’d, and to call them back if it wasn’t to have it entered stolen.

An elderly female just received a call from what she believes was a scammer. She gave him vital information, and she is afraid now and would like to speak with an officer. An officer spoke with the listed female. She stated that two males stated that they worked for Third Federal and Microsoft. She was advised by them that her accounts were being hacked and needed $5,000 to resolve the issue. The complainant advised that she went to her bank and took out $5,000 in cash. She then used the money to purchase Save-A-Lot and Dollar General gift cards. She then gave the card numbers and information to the male. An officer attempted to call back the listed phone number of the males and it appeared to no longer be a valid phone number. The complainant was given a police report number for her records. She was advised to contact the department if she receives any future calls. Later the female advised she contacted an officer from the FBI regarding her fraud report, and that the gift cards still had a full balance on each card.

A white sedan with its lights on is parked in the garage playing very loud music directly across from the caller’s address. The parties agreed to turn it down and go in for the night.

Officers responded to a disturbance between the caller and his relative. The caller was noticeably intoxicated and stated he and his nephew got into a physical altercation. Both insisted they were defending themselves against the other. Officers were unable to determine the cause for the altercation nor the primary aggressor. Both parties declined any legal action against the other. The caller had blood coming from his nose and requested medical assistance. The caller was then transported to the Bedford Medical Center for care.

This is an ongoing issue. Officers were on the scene earlier today in reference to a noise complaint. The kids are making a lot of noise. The complainant doesn’t know who the people are who are making the noise, and is not exactly sure which apartment it is coming from, either. Upon arrival, there was no excessive noise, just regular talking. It checks OK.

The caller feels that male and female renters are doing illegal things. They are not there now. The caller states that they have threatened to beat her up in the past. They stated that they will be back in a few hours. She stated that the renters are bringing illegal items into the home and doing illegal things. When asked what illegal items are in the home, the complainant was unable to give any further detail or describe anything other than they are heating things up. She also stated that they had threatened her, but she could not elaborate on what they had said to her or why she felt threatened. When asked for further details on the threats and illegal activity, the complainant stopped talking, but remained on the line. At that time she was advised to call back when any violations of law or threats are made.

The complainant called and stated her boyfriend assaulted her and took her car.  After making contact with her, she was highly intoxicated and did not really want to talk to officers. She did say her live-in boyfriend caused the scratches on her face and took her car, and she provided a phone number for him. An officer called and spoke with the male, and he stated that they went to Sunoco because the female was supposed to be getting money out of the ATM for him. He said she had been drinking all day and they have been arguing. The male said the female was hitting him in his face, and that he had to restrain her and that is how he believes she got scratched. He said that he left to get out of the situation and he did not want her to drive drunk. The male said that he was staying at his brother’s house in Maple Heights for the night and would bring the car back tomorrow morning. In the meantime, the female stated that she did not want to pursue charges and would get a ride from a friend.

The caller is on the second floor, and is reporting a possible disturbance on the third floor. The caller hears yelling and screaming and bumping. The caller believes people are fighting. Officers arrived, and all appeared to check OK. Maintenance was on the scene and reported a male and female were arguing, and a male left.

Officers responded to the residence for a report of a disturbance and MVA. The female person reporting stated her brother and step-father got into a verbal altercation regarding a previous altercation that occurred while the brother and mother were in Texas. During the course of the altercation at the residence, the brother left the residence in his vehicle and struck the step-father’s vehicle while backing out of the driveway. The struck vehicle was parked in the street. The brother left prior to officers’ arrival.  The step-father did not wish to speak with officers, and the female person reporting was advised to have her step-father contact the department to follow up. Later in the evening, an officer conducted a traffic stop, and the brother was the driver and stated he was involved in the verbal only altercation but was not aware of striking the parked vehicle. The vehicle did have fresh damage to the rear bumper. At this time, both vehicles were photographed and both parties were advised to keep the peace for the evening.

The complainant called to report a customer threatening employees and screaming at customers. The subject left the area before officers arrived. The subject was contacted by cell phone. He was advised not to return to the property or he will be charged with trespassing. The subject said he understands and said he would comply.

The caller states that he let a male live with him that was fixing things around the house. Now the male is causing issues and yelling at the caller. The male’s girlfriend is also living there with him and causing issues. The male is in the background stating he has been there for over 30 days and needs to be evicted. Officers spoke to both the caller and the male on the phone. Their argument was about alleged rent money that was due. Officers advised the caller that he needs to file an eviction notice with the city to have the male forcibly removed from his property. He understood and stated he would handle it through the courts. Both parties calmed down during the phone calls and stated there was no need for officers to come to the residence. They were advised to keep the peace and to call should the need arise.

After picking her car up from the business for a repair, the complainant realized her “Apple Play” phone adapter was missing. When she brought the issue up with the manager, he told her he would pay for replacing the item. While officers were on scene, an employee located the item under the seat.

A young female is acting irate. She left prior to officers’ arrival. She was upset because her water was turned off due to non-payment. She paid her bill and refused to identify herself to the Water Department employees.
