Someone went into the caller’s unlocked car overnight and stole two wallets. The wallets were dumped, but the cash was missing. Approximately $80 was removed from the wallets. The wallets were returned to the complainant by a neighbor. The complainant said she will check the apartment cameras to see if the suspect(s) were captured on video. Should there be any fruitful evidence, the complainant will contact the department.

Officers spoke with the complainant at the listed address who states that today she was issued a refill of her medication. Upon arriving home, the complainant states she cannot locate the medication. The complainant states that a male helped her carry groceries into the home today, but she is unsure if he took them or not. The caller requests this to be documented, and she wants to be provided a report number for insurance purposes.

The complainant stated that she was driving Unit 1 south on Center Road. As she came to a stop in traffic at Willard Avenue, she was rear-ended by Unit 2 causing minor damage. Unit 2 continued to drive away leaving the scene. A check of the Unit 2 plate came back to an address on Grand Boulevard. The registered owner of Unit 2 stated that her 18-year-old son was driving the vehicle. Due to the minor damage caused to Unit 1, both parties agreed to exchange information in regards to getting the damages paid.

The caller advised her ex-roommate moved out earlier today, and when she left, she destroyed the caller’s house. The caller advised there are multiple things broken, and that the other woman took all of the caller’s belongings. The caller wants officers to come out to see the damage. Officers responded to the listed address for a report of a theft. Dispatch advised prior to officers’ arrival, that the caller was EWW with the Bedford Police Department. As officers were speaking with the female inside of her apartment, she was advised that she had a warrant and was going to be placed under arrest to be transported to Solon Jail. She told officers she was not going anywhere and proceeded to ignore commands. She resisted briefly and was placed in handcuffs shortly afterwards. She was transported to the Solon Jail to be booked and processed.

An officer responded to the business for a report of an assault that occurred. The person reporting advised an elderly female complainant walked into the business and advised them that her daughter had assaulted her. The person reporting also advised the female was distraught. Prior to EMS and officers’ arrival, the complainant’s daughter contacted 911 to report her mother, who suffers from dementia, had walked away from the residence. An officer spoke with the female complainant who advised she was struck in the face by her daughter. The complainant did have redness to her eye, but it appeared to be caused from rubbing her eye and being upset. At this time, the daughter arrived on scene and explained that she is caring for the complainant, and the complainant’s husband, who both have early dementia. The daughter advised this is the second time the female has left the residence and that she has since contacted Adult Protective Services (APS) for assistance. Bedford EMS also advised they did not observe any signs of abuse that were apparent to them. An officer spoke with the complainant’s granddaughter who advised she did witness the incident earlier this morning. The granddaughter advised there was a verbal-only altercation early in the morning due to the complainant attempting to leave the residence. The granddaughter advised nothing physical occurred. At this time, it is believed that the altercation reported was verbal only in nature and APS was contacted regarding the matter.

The caller’s son was just robbed at gunpoint in the front yard five minutes ago by a male who was approximately 15 years old. He left in a Subaru or Ford SUV and went up Eldred to Center Road towards Shaker Heights. Apparently the suspect lives in Shaker. The suspect took a pair of Balenciaga tennis shoes. The Shaker Heights Police Department was contacted to ask them to drive by the address. They were also advised that the suspect had a pistol in his waistband.

Officers spoke to the female caller in the lobby who stated her roommate set her up to be robbed. The female stated while she was at work her roommate called her to make sure she was there. Once the roommate verified that she was at work, she states that her house was broken into and ransacked and all of her belongings were taken. Furthermore, while she was at work, she stated the roommate faked being arrested by the police, stating she was being attacked, and she found out that the story was not true, and it was just to make sure she was away from her house. This call also followed another incident. The female also states that the roommate went to the Cleveland Police Department and wants to report that our caller stole all of her belongings and is claiming that our caller is the one that robbed her. Also, the roommate continuously goes to the caller’s mother’s house threatening her and demanding her stuff back, stating the caller is hiding it at her mother’s house. The female states that she does not want pictures taken of the scene because she already moved all of her belongings out of the house. She just wants a report made and wants a protection order. She was advised on how to obtain a restraining order.

Officer spoke to the employee/caller who stated an unknown male took a bottle of wine in an attempt to steal the wine. When confronted, the male turned over the wine to the employee and left on foot in an unknown direction and was not on scene when officers arrived. The employee stated he was unsure if the suspected male took more wine and would like the male trespassed if he returns.

The complainant stated that he did not file for unemployment and believes it to be fraudulent activity. The complainant advised that he completed forms for the fraudulent activity with the Department of Labor and was also advised to contact the credit bureaus if he wished. He was given a report number to obtain a copy for his records.

Sometime in the past three weeks, a person(s) unknown took a 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee from the parking lot for a test drive from the dealership. The keys for the vehicle are also missing. The owner will check the video cameras for anything of value and contact the police if he is to locate anything. The vehicle was entered into leads as stolen.

A school employee called wanting to file a report about an altercation on the bus this afternoon. A child was heard by the bus driver saying that he wanted to cut his brother’s throat and cut out his brain. The child is 6 years old and in kindergarten. His brother is 7 years old and in first grade. An officer contacted the mother and notified her of the incident to which she already knew. She stated that her son was extremely remorseful for saying that to his brother and didn’t mean anything by it. She will be handling discipline at home and is not at all fearful that would ever act out on anything. She was told the school would be reaching out to her to speak about the incident.

An officer responded to the business for a report of a theft that occurred. The person reporting, the collision center manager, advised a customer’s vehicle was parked in front of the business (closest to the business main doors) and when his employees returned to work on 2-25-23 the vehicle’s catalytic converter was stolen. The estimated sum of the theft from the business is $2,500. The person reporting advised there are no witnesses or security camera footage of the incident. The person reporting advised the security camera that would have captured the theft is inoperable, and that he would attempt to review other cameras on the property to obtain a possible suspect. At this time, no description of the suspect(s) could be obtained.

An officer responded to the business for a report of a catalytic converter theft from a vehicle. The person reporting advised employees left the business on 2-27-23 at 5:30 pm and when returning to the business this morning, an employee located a 2013 Ford F250 missing its catalytic converter. Located underneath the listed vehicle was a Milwaukee flashlight. The flashlight did have no evidentiary value due to being covered in water and mud. Photographs of the listed vehicle and flashlights were taken. The catalytic converter was removed from the vehicle by what appears to be two cuts. At this time, there are no witness(s) or security camera footage of the incident. The person reporting did advise the business parking lot gate was secured and it is believed the unknown suspect(s) may have gained access by walking through the wooded area south of the business. No description of the suspect(s) could be obtained at this time.

An officer spoke with the complainant in the lobby. She advised that on 2-28-23, while on her bus route, she attempted to drop off the listed juvenile at her bus stop. The juvenile’s mother was not at the stop waiting for her, and the juvenile stated to the bus driver that she did not have a key to the residence. The mother of the juvenile had called the juvenile’s cell phone and stated that she was going to beat up the bus driver because she did not wait at the location for her to get home. An officer spoke with the mother who stated that the bus driver dropped the juvenile off at her friend’s house where she was picked up by the mother. She was upset because the bus driver is always earlier than she is supposed to be and would not wait until the correct time, and that she made no threats toward her. The mother was advised to contact the school if she continues to have issues. The bus driver was given a report number for her records.

The caller is reporting a “friend” is trying to break into her apartment, and is at the front door. Officers have the female in question and are speaking with her now. Officers advised that this is not a burglary. The female kicked the other female out of the house. The mother of the “friend” is now on scene to take her home. Officers spoke to the complainant who stated when she arrived home, the other female was in her apartment without permission, just sitting on the couch waiting for her to get home. The complainant stated that this female always does this with her and said that she no longer wants to keep dealing with it. An officer spoke to the other female involved who stated that she was at her girlfriends house, they were hanging out, and they began to argue and her girlfriend kicked her out of her apartment. The complainant was advised on how to obtain a protection order, to which she stated she would obtain that Monday morning.

The school bus driver told the officer that he was informed that someone overheard a student in the back of the bus say something about a gun. Multiple juveniles were visibly upset and crying. An officer entered the bus and the students were pointing to the right rear seat where a single juvenile male was sitting. The officer spoke to the male who stated that he did not say he had a gun, but stated that he told others on the bus to “shut up for the sake of god” and that someone said he had a gun. The officer asked the 9-year-old male if he had a gun, and if they could check his book bag. The juvenile said that he did not have a gun and allowed the officer to check the bag. No weapons of any kind were found. The officer obtained the juvenile’s name, but he did not know his address or phone number. The juvenile was escorted from the bus, and it was allowed to continue its route. The juvenile was transported from the bus to the area of (bus drop off). The child was turned over to his mother. No firearms were present at the home either.

The caller and her husband are arguing, and she wants him out of the house. She says he is standing there with a knife. He’s in the background saying no he doesn’t, and saying the female had a hammer earlier. The female says she does not have any weapons on her. There has been nothing physical yet, but it feels like it’s getting there. The female says she can’t separate herself from the male — he keeps following her. He says he is going to the basement. The caller says she doesn’t know where the knife is that he had. They are still arguing — the female is saying the male put his hands on her, and he’s saying he did not. Officer’s responded to the listed address and spoke with both parties involved. They advised that it was a verbal argument only, and neither party wished to leave the residence. They were advised to keep the peace to which they complied.

Officers spoke with the complainant in the lobby who advised that she was in small claims court with her ex, and when they were walking in the parking lot, he made what she felt were threats towards her. The complainant states that the male gave her money in the past and is now seeking a return through court. Upon leaving the court building, the two were talking and the male said, “It’s not even about the money but since you are going to act like that, you gonna pay.” The complainant states that she has had issues with the male in the past, and he is currently more upset with her due to her being in contact with his child’s mother. The complainant requested at this time that the incident be documented as she pursues a protection order through the county.

A female called 911 to report her ex-boyfriend hit her. The caller is in a Nissan SUV with the flashers on. The male is in his house. Officers spoke with both the complainant and the male on scene. The complainant said she came over to her boyfriend’s home in an effort to resolve issues. The couple began arguing, and the complainant stated she hugged the male so he would not leave. Next, the complainant said the male pushed her off of him and hit her head against the ground, causing injury to the side of her face. The male admits they got into a physical altercation but does not know how she got the laceration on her face. The complainant did not want to pursue charges and wanted the male to leave her alone. The female was cleared by EMS and drove away from the scene.

A male left the store with a full coat and walked behind the building. A customer witnessed the shoplifting take place. The male did make a purchase of eggs and Black & Milds but his coat was full of items. The male returned to the store while an officer was present. The male had a roll of shelf liner (gripping style) in his bag with the eggs. The male returned the items and the manager wanted him advised of trespassing. The male was intoxicated and advised on his warrants.

Someone keeps calling the store for an employee. The female at the store doesn’t want to talk with him, and he has been told that, but he keeps calling. An officer spoke with the complainant/manager who said the male has called the business 14 times today in an attempt to speak with an employee. She said she will pursue charges if the harassment continues.

A male is calling the dealership threatening to shoot people because he thinks the dealership towed his car. An officer spoke to the complainant who advised that the male had called them stating that they towed his vehicle and made threats to shoot them. They advised the male that they did not tow the vehicle. The officer called the suspect, and he was advised that the dealership did not tow his vehicle, and that the Police Department removed the vehicle because it was disabled. The male repeatedly said no. The officer again stated that the police towed the vehicle, and the man would not listen. The male was advised of trespassing at the dealership and to stop all calls.

The caller advised that the father of his grandchildren was at the home and pushed the caller to the ground after a verbal dispute. The caller was not injured, and the suspect left. The caller advised that the father had begun to argue with the caller over taking pictures of the caller’s home. The caller’s daughter, along with her children, also reside at the listed address. An officer spoke to the mother of the children, and the mother explained the father has been violent in the past towards her and her father. Officers advised the mother on how to obtain a protection order and to call back if the male returns to the home. Officers also advised the mom on visitation rights that the father would have to file through family court due to them not being married.

Officers spoke to the female who stated she met with a male at the above listed address from Facebook Marketplace to buy a cell phone. She states the male sold her a cell phone for $100. The female then went to Boost Mobile to try to activate the phone, and the business told her the phone was blocked because it was reported stolen in their system. Officers drove to the male’s house, and the male stated he did not know the phone was stolen. The male agreed to give the female her money back and both parties were satisfied with the end result.

During the disturbance the male spit on one of the employees and left the store. The male then re-entered the store and stole multiple items before leaving in a newer black Chevy Malibu. The employee just wants a report on file in case the males returns to the store.

At some point after arriving home the complainant states he discovered three people at his home. He said a male pushed him to the ground and took cash from his pocket. The complainant did not request the male charged but advised he needs the incident documented before he contacts Veterans Affairs.

A male’s phone was hacked and they got into his bank account. The complainant stated that on 1-25-23 he was scammed by someone posing as a service representative with Amazon, who claimed his Amazon account was compromised. The complainant was instructed to download an app to remedy the problem. The app allowed the perpetrator(s) access to his phone and they stole $1,700 from his Chase bank account through a fraudulent online transaction. He reported the matter to Chase, and they closed his account and gave him a new account with his money back. The complainant also took his phone to Verizon for them to check his phone for any type of virus, and they said it was clear.

A gold Cobalt struck the caller’s vehicle. The caller is following the suspect vehicle. There is no plate on the suspect’s vehicle, but there’s possibly a temporary plate in the window. The caller advised she has followed the vehicle to the medical center. She’s cutting through the parking lot to Columbus Road. The vehicle pulled into a driveway across the street from Central Elementary School. The caller advised the female is standing on the sideway, possibly intoxicated, currently on the phone. The plate information was able to be given to officers. Officers spoke with the complainant and determined the accident occurred in Maple Heights. She was advised to report to Maple Heights Police Department. The female in the Cobalt (a minor) was advised of her warrant with Garfield Heights and released to a licensed driver.

An officer spoke to the complainant who advised that her ex-boyfriend is harassing her by sending texts and direct messages to her cell phone. The complainant stated that she has told him that she is not interested in restarting their relationship and to stop contacting her. The complainant stated that he has sent messages saying that, “There is nothing he won’t do to have her to himself.” The male has made threats to hurt her, and he recently started sending nude pictures of the complainant to her brother. The male has created emails in her name, Tinder and dating accounts using her name and phone number. The complainant stated that the male has slashed her tires, family members’ tires in the past as well as placing a tracking device on her vehicle. The complainant stated that she is fearful of the male and wants to press charges for him sending the nude pictures. The officer advised the complainant to obtain emails sent and to copy all of the text messages he’s sent. The complainant was also advised to seek a restraining order from the Cuyahoga County Courts. The complainant stated that she will be moving to a new address soon. The officer attempted to contact the male, but the phone went to voicemail. The officer left a message to stop all calls and contact with the complainant and family members and to stop sending out her picture to social media.

Today, the male refused to leave when she said she was on her way back, and she wants to talk to an officer about how to avoid this.

The caller just picked up her son at the bus stop, who told her that some other kids pointed a gun at him. The kid with the gun had glasses, short hair, and may have been wearing all black. A witness advised the gun was never pointed at anyone. He just saw the gun in the waistband. The juvenile witness stated that when he got off the bus he was walking down the sidewalk. The two suspect males were walking in the opposite direction. The juvenile stated that the male who had the gun in his waistband bumped into him but did not grab the gun, nor were any threats made. The juvenile told his mom he thought it might be a pellet gun. The mother of the juvenile witness directed officers to Flora Drive where a female resident spoke to the two suspects in front of her house. She stated the male had beef with her younger brother, and the two go to an alternative school in Shaker Heights. She told the boys to leave, never saw a weapon and they complied. She stated a short time later her brother got picked up by friends in a silver sedan. While on the scene, dispatch advised that a juvenile male was “jumped” on Cresswell Avenue by kids in a silver Kia. Officers responded to the area to investigate. It is unknown if the two instances are related.

The complainant reports that someone is trying to steal her mother’s vehicle which is parked in the garage. A male just walked out of the garage going towards the front of the building. An officer responded and spoke to the complainant who advised that she observed the male enter her mother’s garage, leave the garage and then return and stay in the garage for a while and then left. The garage was empty of vehicles and it appears nothing was disturbed. The male was gone on the arrival of the officer.

The caller stated that she pulled into her father’s driveway and the next door neighbor’s glass from a window was lying in his yard. She’s unsure whether the wind blew it off or if someone tried to break in. Officers responded to the residence for a report of suspicion reported by the neighbor. The neighbor advised she noticed the window to be lying on her driveway and believes someone may have attempted to gain entry. Officers observed the broken window but no signs of forced entry were observed. Officers attempted to make contact with the residents but officers were unsuccessful. At this time, it appears the weather caused the window to fall from the frame and no forced entry was located.

Officers responded to the area for a report of an unwanted guest. The complainant, the business employee, advised the male subject was causing a disturbance in the business and was also trying to sell drugs. Officers located the male walking near the business. The male advised he was not selling drugs, and that he was upset with the employees of the business due to being blamed for another person’s death. The male did not consent to a search of his person, and he was advised of trespassing per the complainant. No further police action is required.
