Officers spoke to the husband and wife who were having an argument over issues with their daughters. The husband did break a couple items in the home prior to the officer’s arrival. The argument was verbal only, and both agreed to stay in separate rooms for the night to keep the peace.

Officers spoke with the complainant in the lobby who states that while at the McKinley Avenue home, the father of her 2-month-old child, grabbed her and began to shake-toss her around. The complainant states that the male, for no particular reason, became upset because she asked him to take her back home to Cleveland Heights. The female stated she would like to go forward with charges. She was advised to return to the station to fill out a statement.

The caller lives at the house, lost her key and was apparently locked out by her aunt and uncle. She was advised that she could make entry into her own house.

A female would like to make a report regarding her niece damaging property and would like to file a complaint against the officer who advised her that it was OK to do so. The eviction process, and also a tenant having a right to access their place of residence was explained once again to the complainant. She was still upset that her niece has a right to cause damage in order to access her residence when locked out by the complainant. The complainant was directed to Bedford Municipal Court to file for an eviction on her niece.

A resident is advising that her package was stolen. It contained clothes and other items worth about $300.  She stated that it was delivered April 1. An officer spoke with a neighbor who has a Ring camera but the camera did not capture who may have taken the package. The company will not replace the complainant’s order.

The complainant stated he opened an email which he thought was from PayPal. In the email, it said he was overcharged $785, and in order to reverse the charges, he needed to contact the company. He contacted the number he was given, which he thought was PayPal, and was told that the business was unable to credit him the exact amount, but if he provided them with $2,500 in GameStop gift cards and $2,500 in Target gift cards, they would allow him to keep $785 out of the $5,000.  He was advised of the phishing scam and has already closed all of his current bank and credit card accounts. He was also informed on how to report the fraud to Federal Fraud Enforcement.

A broken window was reported at the building to the left of the main building. It appeared to be an attempt by a male to steal a car, but then he moved the car instead and stole the keys. The caller has video of the incident. Officers reported there were two males in the woods between Kia and Greencroft Road. The males saw the officers and turned around. An officer is out with the male who is a juvenile. The male was transferred to the jail.

The caller states that a female keeps harassing her over the phone. This is her boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend. The female is saying she has a gun and will kill the caller. She did not want to pursue charges at this time, but does want the female advised of telecommunication harassment and criminal trespass. An officer spoke with the female.

The complainant stated that she responded to her child’s father’s residence last night after getting a call from her daughter who wanted to come home. The complainant stated that it is not unusual for her to get calls from her daughter when she’s ready to come home. When the complainant knocked on the apartment door, the male opened the door and her daughter was present. The daughter came out of the apartment and hugged her mom. The male was upset, asking what she was doing there. The complainant advised that she received a call from their daughter saying she wanted to come home and thought that he was aware she had called. The complainant stated that she asked the male if he could get her jacket, and he started to argue with her. The male advised her that she could get the coat. When the complainant attempted to get the jacket, the male pushed her, and she told him that he didn’t have to put his hands on her.  The complainant stated that the male kept yelling in her face, calling her names and cursing. The complainant stated that the male slapped/mugged her face, causing her to fall to the floor. The complainant stated that she started to get back up and was pushed down by the male, and that he slapped her twice in the face. The complainant stated that she got her daughter and left the building and got into her boyfriend’s vehicle. The complainant stated that she called Bedford Police, but the male came out the front door in a menacing fashion and they decided to leave the area to avoid anything else. The complainant had no visible marks on her face or neck area at the time of this report.  Written statements were obtained from the complainant and from the father.  An officer provided the prosecutor the case for review. The prosecutor ruled there were no charges. An officer contacted the complainant and advised of the prosecutor’s ruling. She was advised on obtaining a civil protection order, and that she could obtain a copy of the report number for court purposes when addressing the child support issue at juvenile court.

A female is reporting that she and her husband physically fought but are separated now. There is a weapon in her room, but it is still put away and was not involved in the incident. The caller’s brother is also in the residence. Officers responded to the residence for a report of a domestic situation. The female advised she just would like the male to leave for the morning to keep the peace. Officers spoke with the male who advised both parties did push each other while laying in their bed, but that the female was the party who was physical. At this time, neither party had any signs of a physical altercation on their persons, and the male voluntarily agreed to depart for work early to keep the peace. Both parties were advised to contact the police if the issues continue.

The caller states her 8-year-old son was jumped while he was walking down the street. She states he has bruises on the side of his face and head.  The caller states her son does not need medical attention at this time. She states her son does not know who the boy was that jumped him. They think the boy was 13- or 14-years-old. The mother is in the process of finding out where this male lives. The son was punched while at his friend’s house down the street. There was a group of four or five juveniles at the home. They were all joking and the caller’s son said something to another juvenile and that other juvenile hit him in the head. There were no real visible markings on the caller’s son. After speaking with the juvenile, it appears this was all a misunderstanding and taking the joking too far. The caller was advised to report any further issues with this other juvenile. Her son was also advised to stay away from him if he sees him. The only information they had on the juvenile was his name.

The ladies that were involved in the earlier hit skip also took several items. The caller has it on camera. The manager stated at around 0930 hours, two females entered the store and were involved in a theft. One female was carrying a large purse and was seen on video removing pink and black sweatshirts/sweatpants from an end cap and placing them into her purse. Another female accomplice, who was wearing a white knitted cap, was seen entering the store just two minutes later and met up with the female carrying the purse. Both females exited the store without paying for the clothes and then entered a black SUV. The estimated theft was approximately $50. The manager advised he would contact the police to have the two females trespassed if they happen to return.

The caller wants to report an assault that occurred a year and a half ago. An officer spoke with a female victim in the lobby regarding a physical and sexual assault which occurred for an extended duration of time but ended in December of 2020. The female advised her ex-boyfriend and she were involved in a relationship which involved the male physically abusing her and sexually abusing her over the course of their relationship. The female also advised she did not seek medical treatment for the assaults but may have photo evidence on her old cell phone, which she would attempt to provide at a later date if located. The female stated the incidents occurred at her parents’ residence and at the male’s residence on High Street. (He no longer lives there, however.)  The last contact between the two parties was in January of 2022. At this time, the female advised she is requesting a civil protection order through the county court and would just like the incident documented. The officer asked the female if she would like to pursue criminal charges against the male, but she declined to do so at this time. The female was provided further information on how to obtain a CPO, and she was also advised of the criminal statute of limitations for the incidents. No further police action was required at this time.

The listed female stated her boyfriend came over and the two began to argue. The male abruptly backed out of her driving in his vehicle causing her to fall down. The female’s left ankle was swollen and she had a scrape on her right arm. She stated the argument was verbal only. She was transported to the hospital for her injuries.

The complainant in the lobby stated sometime over the last three months, unknown person(s) have damaged her vehicle. The complainant stated both side view mirrors were damaged, the passenger seat has burn holes from a blunt-sized cigarette, the driver’s side carpet was cut, there are scratches to the driver’s door, the alarm was deactivated and the door locks were damaged and no longer work. The complainant stated the unknown person(s) also had a duplicate key made, as indicated on the dashboard display, and have been joyriding in her car which has made her have to get more frequent oil changes. The complainant has purchased The Club car lock to deter the joyriding. The complainant stated she is seeking a new residence at this time and suspects the maintenance personnel from the apartment complex could be involved with the vandalism. Parking permission was granted for one more day.

Officers responded to the area for a report of an unknown person knocking on residents’ doors which was reported by numerous residents. Officers located the unknown person who was found to be a female juvenile. The juvenile advised she was walking around the city from the hours of 1000-0200 while attempting to “hang out” with friends. The juvenile also advised she attempted to return to her listed residence but did not due to believing the residence was locked. The juvenile advised she was knocking on doors due to her phone battery dying and seeking a phone to use. Officers attempted to make contact with the juvenile’s mother via telephone but were unsuccessful. Due to exhausting all options, the juvenile was transported to the police department. Officers later made contact with the juvenile’s mother who was advised to respond to the police department. The mother advised she left earlier in the evening when the juvenile did not return home from a friend’s house but did leave the residence’s door unlocked for the juvenile to gain entry. The mother also advised this has been an on-going issue with the juvenile being unruly. At this time, the juvenile checked OK and was given to her mother. No further police action at this time is needed.

The male was able to provide an address to the officer who will be taking the male to this location. The child was turned over to a guardian.

A white Jeep with dark tinted windows keeps turning around and following the caller as she walks down the street. Officers made contact with the female who advised she did not speak with the driver nor could she provide any description of the driver. The vehicle was described by the complainant as a white Jeep Cherokee with tinted windows and minor damage to the passenger side brake light.  Officers checked the area and were unsuccessful in locating the vehicle. The female was found to be EWW with the Brooklyn Police Department. The complainant was advised to contact the police if the vehicle is observed in the area again. Later, an officer found a Jeep behind Dollar General. It was unoccupied and no one was around.

The male said he needed an ambulance, but the caller told him to go elsewhere to get an ambulance. The male cursed at the caller and left. Officers checked the entire area but were unable to locate the male.

The caller states his neighbor at this address is running an unregistered service repair shop out of his garage. The caller was told by zoning that there’s nothing they can do unless it’s witnessed, so he should call police when he sees this activity. It’s unknown if the neighbor is in the garage right now. The caller cannot see into the garage. Officers responded to the listed location for a zoning complaint. Upon arrival officers observed four vehicles parked in the driveway and one vehicle parked legally in the roadway. All vehicles were off and unoccupied. Officers stood by to observe any activity coming from the house. Officers did not observe any activity in the house or on the property.

Two males went into the garage and came back out. The caller hasn’t seen the neighbor in a few days. These males also pulled on the door of the work van in the driveway. Officers found the parties were trying to gain access to check on the dog. The resident is currently incarcerated. It checks OK. They advised that it is unknown if anyone has checked on the dogs in the last week. The information was forwarded to the animal warden for follow-up. The warden made contact with a caretaker for the animals. He advised that he and another male respond several times a day to check on the dogs and that they are in good health.

A boyfriend and girlfriend both stated they had a verbal argument that turned into a physical altercation. The argument was over the male cheating. The male had several abrasions on his neck he stated were from the female. He said he only touched her to keep her away from him. The female had several abrasions to her person and a bloody mouth. The male stated the female fell at some point causing the bloody mouth. The female stated she was punched by the male which caused the bloody mouth, and that she only hit him to keep him away. There was a small amount of blood on the outside door trim to the male’s apartment, but none inside. The female had no visible marks to her face. The male showed officers several holes in his walls which he stated were caused by the female throwing items. Both parties declined to press charges. The female decided to go home for the night. The female declined for officers to photograph her person. The male did agree for officers to photograph his person. The photos were attached to this report.

The complainant’s daughter came over to talk about the house the complainant is selling to her. The daughter stated the taxes were due and wanted the complainant to pay for them since the house has not been transferred yet. An argument ensued and both parties started a mutual altercation. Witnesses stated they did not know who started it, but the complainant stated her daughter punched her first. The complainant had some scratches on the back of her neck but was unsure if that was caused by her daughter or witnesses trying to break up the fight. The complainant had some dried blood on her nose. She was checked by Bedford Fire and refused transport. The daughter left the scene before officers arrived, but the mother did not want to pursue the matter further. Later the daughter came on station to report the incident. She claimed her mother started it, but agreed it was all over the house. She also had some scratches but is unsure if they were from the complainant or witnesses. Due to conflicting stories and witnesses unable to say who started the altercation, no primary physical aggressor could be determined. No further police action needed at this time.

The caller states that there were two males walking down the street. One looked like he had a long rifle and the other male looked like he was carrying a shotgun. The males were passing the Sunoco gas station. Officers toured the area for males, but they were unable to locate the men.

A male is flashing a gun and is arguing with the caller’s female friend. The caller does not see the male at this time. The caller does not know if they are still in the parking lot. An officer detained the male who did in fact have a handgun. Dispatch contacted the caller who now wants to remain anonymous and does not wish to speak to officers. Officers spoke to the male and female involved, and the altercation was verbal only. Both parties were advised of their options. The male’s firearm was placed in his truck for safekeeping, and he was sent on his way.

A male stole an exhaust system from the business earlier this morning and tried to sell it next door at the recycling center. The neighboring business has info on the guy that tried to sell it to them. An officer spoke with the complainant who advised that he would like the subject to be advised to not take items off the property, and if he would like scrap, to contact them first. At this time the department does not have a good name for the suspect, but he is known to walk along Northfield with a shopping cart.

The caller is advising that they just got a call from a customer threatening to come shoot up the business within the past 10 minutes. They have no information on him, but his girlfriend is the one who was having the auto repairs done. Officers spoke to the girlfriend who states that her boyfriend was upset over a warranty issue. She will talk to her boyfriend and advise him that he is not to call the business again.

The complainant said she realized Saturday morning, before going to a gun range, that her gun was no longer in her case which was located on a shelf in her bedroom closet. The complainant said the last time she saw her firearm was on Christmas morning. The complainant did mention she had a get together on New Year’s Eve with some people she did not know. The complainant asked guests from her event if they knew if anyone had her firearm, which no one knew. At this time, the female does not know the serial number of the firearm for it to be entered into leads.

The caller (falsely) advised that two males tried to steal her vehicle at gunpoint. The caller was crying and it was very hard to understand. The female is requesting a squad due to being punched by one of the males. Officers spoke to the complainant and her female friend, who stated they were sitting in their vehicle in the driveway when two unknown males came up to them and ripped them out of the car at gunpoint. The female stated they then ran to the police station for help. The female also stated that she was hit in the stomach with the gun. EMS came to the station to evaluate the female, and she declined to go to the hospital. Officers went to the female’s house and observed that the support beam to the garage was cracked in half. The damage was caused by the vehicle they were sitting in running into it. Officers were investigating the area and came to the conclusion that the juvenile females were fabricating their story about being robbed. It was later learned that the females had an adult male friend over who was in the driver’s seat and accidentally pressed the gas and drove the car into the garage. They stated they were afraid of their parents and ended up making up the story of being robbed. The juvenile described the adult male as being approximately 22-years-old and that he also had a firearm which she felt in his pocket but did not actually observe. The juvenile advised she is not friends with the male, but that he is a friend of the other juvenile who was present inside the vehicle. The juvenile then advised she allowed the male into the driver’s seat, and he began to joke around with the juveniles. While doing so, the juvenile advised the male pressed the accelerator of the vehicle causing the vehicle to strike the garage. The juvenile then advised that the male left the scene due to being afraid of what occurred, and that her parents would be upset. The juvenile could not provide further identifying information of the male. The juvenile’s mother was advised of all information. The juveniles were turned over to their parents.

A female is upset because she has gotten two parking tickets and believes this is because her neighbor keeps calling on her. The female wants her neighbor charged with harassment. The complainant was advised that it is not known if her neighbor called the police on her, but it is not illegal if the neighbor did when they see a parking violation. The female became upset with officers and stormed out because they would not arrest her neighbor. The female was once again advised of the city parking ordinances.

The caller needs to report that last evening, during their second shift, a former employee made entry to the building and left with property that belongs to the business. According to management, the former employee came back and stole a tool cart along with other unknown items that were surrounding his work station. The manager could not specify what items were on the tool cart but stated there could have been two magnetic flashlights on top of it. On video, the male is seen entering the business through a bay door which was open due to night shift employees working. He then went to his work station and placed items on the cart and wheeled it out of the business. An officer contacted the male and left a voicemail advising him to call the police to clear matters up. The male called back and stated there was a misunderstanding between management and himself. He stated he will be returning the cart on 4/20/22 at some point.

Officers responded for an active domestic. Upon arrival officers separated the 12-year-old juvenile and step-father. The step-father stated that his step-son became irate and pushed his uncle down the stairs and attempted to bite several other family members. The step-father also stated the juvenile attempted to jump out of the third-story window. The juvenile was transported to the Bedford Medical Center for an evaluation.

Officers spoke to the caller who stated that she feels like her sister is being mistreated by her cousin. The caller stated that her sister is disabled and not fully able to take care of herself. She states that her sister’s cousin and caregiver do not properly bathe, clothe or feed her. She also states that her sister’s cousin spits and punches her when she does not listen. Officers went to the above listed address where the caller’s sister live and spoke to the male who is suspected of mistreating her. The male stated that he does not and has never abused the female. Officers spoke with the sister at the address who appeared to be in good health. However, the sister stated to officers that she did not feel safe at the house. The female stated that she was struck in her face under her eye, but officers were unable to see any marks. Furthermore, the caller was stating that the female had bruises on her back from the male, but officers were not able to determine if they were from the incident. The caregiver showed up on the scene and presented officers with the proper paperwork as the guardian. The caregiver took the female to her house in Twinsburg to calm the situation down for the night with which both parties were OK.

In march of 2020, the complainant purchased the house on Avalon Drive. Prior to the purchase, she had a home inspection of the building and believed the house was free of serious issues. In the past year, she has had to deal with a series of serious problems concerning her home. She believes these issues were present, or not addressed by her home inspector, and was defrauded by him. A female is at the station, and she wants to get a restraining order. She has not filed a report yet. She said she lives in Chagrin Falls, but they told her they could not help her, and she had to come to Bedford for a report. The complainant said her adopted daughter is being harassed by her biological mother’s boyfriend. The two worked together in Chagrin Falls and she had let her employer know of the sexual/creepy comments, and they terminated him. The male has been seen lingering in the area and the female feels uneasy about his presence. She was advised to call Chagrin Falls for future incidents and how to obtain a CPO.

A male is in the lobby stating that he is currently going through the process to evict two friends he let live in his apartment. Due to the friends finding out about the eviction, they began arguing over text. An officer read through the text messages and no threats were made to the caller. The male was advised to call police for assistance if anything escalates at the apartment between him and the friends staying there before the eviction process is completed.

The complainant stated her friend and his girlfriend are refusing to leave the apartment and are making threats to harm her and kill her. The complainant was advised of the eviction of the process which she stated she started. An officer checked with the Bedford court, and yt does not show an eviction has been filed.  The complainant’s friend and his girlfriend came on station to speak with officers. They stated they have been getting harassed by the complainant and her boyfriend. The male stated he is moving out of the apartment on 5/2/22. They were advised to keep the peace until they move out.

A male and female stated they had a verbal argument inside the bar. The female stated the male did not touch her, but he did hit a drink that splashed on her. The female had no marks on her person and stated she felt safe leaving with the male. The male, who was intoxicated, agreed that a heated argument occurred but denied ever striking the female. The female was advised of her warrants, and both parties were advised to find a ride home.

The caller says there’s a black pickup parked at this vacant home with two males who are loading it with steel items from behind the house. A third male also appeared and is wearing bright yellow gloves. They’ve also loaded a garbage can and wheelbarrow. The caller isn’t sure if they’re clearing trash or taking items for scrap. Officers found the exterior of the house was secure, but no one answered the door. It appears the home is not vacant. Most probably the resident is not home.

The caller advises a window is knocked out on the south side of the building. She thinks someone could have gone inside. She doesn’t know when it occurred, but wanted to make sure the police and school were aware. Officers found it was blown in and damaged by the heavy wind and were going into the building to secure the window.

The caller’s ex-boyfriend, and the father of her two kids, showed up in her driveway in a vehicle about an hour ago. The caller went to go outside to see what he needed, and he took off. He texted his daughter and stated he was there to rustle some feathers. An officer spoke with the complainant. She advised that she and the listed male are going through a custody battle. The male has been showing up to the residence unannounced and is not to be in contact with the complainant outside of email. An officer left a message for the male to not return to the residence or contact the complainant any further.

An officer is checking on two males in the old St. Peter Chanel lot. The one male is possibly the missing juvenile from earlier. The male is choosing not to be cooperative. Both males are running through the parking lot now. Mom and dad were contacted and advised that he is in the area and is complaining he is not missing. The male is walking down Talbot Drive toward the area of his residence. The male was very agitated when an officer attempted to speak with him.

The caller advised she is behind the bar and a male just got shot in the driveway in front of Lounge 228. Officers are out with a male standing in the middle of the road. An additional unit is being requested. The male has blood on him. A squad is being requested to go to the high school. The male was shot in the front of the business. The suspect vehicle was a gray sedan occupied by a male and female. The suspect vehicle fled west on Willard Avenue. The squad will be transported to Hillcrest Hospital. The police located the victim’s shirt in the entrance of the Bedford Board of Education.

The caller is stating there was a one-vehicle accident with a lot of damage done to the pizza shop. The caller is behind the suspected vehicle and trying to get the plate. The Maple Heights Police Department was advised to check in the area of Hazelwood Avenue. A fire engine was called to respond to Gionino’s for structure damage and wires. A Bedford officer is out at the Hazelwood address. The male suspect was detained. He will be taken back for a blood-alcohol test. The Bedford Service Department needs to be called to come out to shut off power. There are wires all over Gionino’s. The Service Department said they do not do anything with wires. The trees and light are out in front of Gionino’s. EMS checked the male suspect and he is OK.

Officers responded to Dollar General and spoke with a manager for a report of shoplifting. The manager stated a female wearing a white shirt, black shorts and carrying a red purse entered the store and stole a bottle of Barefoot Moscato valued at $7. The female left in a gray SUV and a plate number was obtained. Officers checked the female’s residence and the vehicle was not there. The manager was advised to call the police if she returns to be trespassed.

A female came to the station to report that sometime between 1245-1300 hours today, unknown person(s) hit her driver side front causing a dent and scrapes while she was parked against the brick building by Dollar General. A male went to the caller’s home to confront his girlfriend. He left her belongings on the porch (along with his cellphone) and fled the scene prior to officers’ arrival. His cellphone was left in the bed of his truck parked out front. The caller did not wish to pursue the matter any further.

The caller states her plate was stolen off her vehicle. It was reported, and the plate was replaced with the BMV on 03/03/22. The caller then received a toll bill from New York on 3/25/2022 with her stolen plate on a white Dodge Ram Truck. The license plate recognition file was checked, and the last hit for the stolen plate was 4/15/22 in East Cleveland on the White Dodge Ram. Bedford Heights Police Department confiscated the plate to be destroyed since the victim had another one issued by the BMV.

The caller advised someone is stealing her mail and would like to speak to an officer. She is under the weather and would prefer a phone call. Officers made contact with the caller via phone who states that she is elderly and is only able to pick up mail from her mailbox once a week. Upon checking on 4/24/22, she realized that her box was unlocked and there was no mail. The caller would like this documented as she was expecting a certified letter. She was advised to contact USPS, and her landlord, regarding missing mail and regarding her box being left unlocked. An officer will follow up at a later date.

Officers spoke with the complainant who advised he and his employee had got into an altercation. The complainant stated that this morning the employee was upset about something, and they got into a verbal altercation. The employee had a paper towel in his hand and threw it at the complainant. The employee then walked out of the store. The complainant advised that the employee was terminated, and he was no longer welcome on the property. Officers attempted to speak with the former employee, but they were unable to locate him. The complainant advised he is unsure of the former employee’s address but will contact the police after he gets off work with a better location. Officers will follow up once contacted.

An employee is advising that there was a male in the bar that brandished a weapon. The caller states that he told the male to leave, and the male stated that he wasn’t leaving and then brandished the gun. The male’s possible car was not in the parking lot when officers arrived.

The complainant said she has a protection order against a female, and she has received a photo of whom she believes to be the female shooting at a gun range from behind. Next to the target in the photo says “your bm,” which the complainant says means “your baby momma.”  The complainant also says she has received messages sent to her on Instagram from unknown accounts who she believes are being sent by the female. At this time, it is unable to be proven that the female is sending the photos and messages, which would violate the protection order.
