A complainant is on station with a customer check that was returned from his bank, altered and fictitious, in the amount of $2,900. A United States treasury check number, in the amount of $2900, was made out to a certain female. An Ohio Drivers License was presented as identification, and a signature and phone number were added to the back of the check. The business was unsuccessful in resolving the matter with the female and the certified letters were returned, not deliverable as addressed and unable to forward. The business is seeking prosecution. The detective bureau will follow up.

Report of a robbery at gunpoint by a male wearing all black carrying a maroon bag. Caller saw the gun. Suspect left in an unknown direction of travel. Officers are on the scene. K9 Unit requested. The weaponed brandished was an all-black semi automatic. Oakwood Village Police Department en route with K9 Unit. There was no direction of travel seen after male left the store. Screenshots from footage are being sent out The male was wearing a red face mask with a design. The K9 Unit is starting to track from the Circle K parking lot heading northwest. Officers are out on Libby Road. A Gardenview Drive resident thinks she saw someone walking around her backyard a short time before the K9 Unit got in the area. The K9 Unit is going back to Gardenview Drive where the track was strong. The resident advised she did not physically see anyone. — just a shadow going by her window. Officer’s are at Shoppers World looking for a camera facing Libby Road.

The male did not make any threats to the female. The female was advised to block the male and on how to obtain a civil protection order against the male.

A female caller has a protection order against a female who is her boyfriend’s child’s mother. The caller has a copy of the protection order. The female contacted her over the weekend and last contacted the caller this morning.

The female called back. She said she believes the other female is possibly outside the building stalking her. The suspect put on social media that she was outside the residence. The female doesn’t have evidence of the other female being on the property. Officers checked the parking lot and were unable to locate the suspected female, or anyone sitting in any of the parked vehicles. The caller continues to claim the female is creating fake social media profiles and using “spoof phone numbers” to message her. She did not have any proof of the allegations and was advised to contact police should the female actually show up to any of the protected locations in the order.

Officers were dispatched for a male who claimed a masked gunman was outside his apartment window. Upon arrival, officers found no one outside, but they could hear the complainant yelling for help from the apartment. Officers spoke to the male who was clearly having delusions. His father lives with him in the apartment and knew nothing of any armed men outside the apartment. Officers gave the complainant a ride to Southgate so he could catch a bus to Mayfield Heights.

A male advised that another unknown male just punched him in the face. The suspect is currently walking in the street, close to Bedford High School. The caller advised he was sitting in his vehicle when the male approached him on foot and punched him in the face through his open window while he was sitting in his car. The complainant did not want to do anything at this time and was only struck in the arm.

Upon officers’ arrival, a dead deer was found in the backyard of a vacant yard. The caller stated he heard two gunshots and in the past has found deer shot near his property. Officers observed an entry wound to the deer’s torso which appeared to be .22 caliber. Officers checked the area and no one else heard the gunshots. The animal warden was notified.

A USPS mail carrier stated that a male exited his home today and began to yell at him. The suspect stated that his mail was not properly delivered, and that if he or another mail carrier tried to deliver mail to his home, he is going to have his two German shepherds attack him. The complainant advised that USPS will no longer deliver mail to the above male. The complainant just would like the incident documented.

An officer spoke with a male in the lobby for a report of threats. The male stated he received a phone call on 5-19-2020 from a male who was involved in a car accident with the male’s son in Maple Heights. During the brief phone call, the male stated the suspect threatened him by saying, “I’m going to spray your house; I’m a real gangsta.” The male made a report with Maple Heights police who advised him to make a report with Bedford as that is where the male resides. The male did not receive any additional threatening phone calls.

A caller states someone tried to attack the caller with a knife and damaged his vehicle. The caller is not injured. The knife was about seven inches long. The knife is still with the male inside the house. Officers arrived on scene and detained multiple males. One of the males had a warrant with the department and was returned to the station. The two males got into a verbal altercation over one male’s car being destroyed in the other male’s driveway. Both males stated they wanted to pursue charges and were given statement forms. Both males were advised to stay away from each other’s houses.

The caller is stating her boyfriend took her Kia on Wednesday without her permission and has not returned it. The complainant said that the male has lived with her for the last year and that he has used the vehicle before. She wanted the police to reach out to him to see if he would return her car. She said he will not answer his cell phone when she calls him. A message was left for him to call the police department or the complainant to get the matter cleared up. The male called the police station and said that he never had the vehicle. The complainant was contacted again by phone. She said that he told her that he had the vehicle and stopped at a gas station in Cleveland to pick up some items. He said when he came out, the vehicle was gone. The male told police he never said that to her. She was advised to go to the Cleveland Police Department to make a report of the stolen vehicle. The complainant was told to call if the story changes again, or if he shows up with the vehicle.

The caller is the mail carrier and states he recently had an issue with a male threatening to kill him in the past. The mail carrier said today he went past the home while delivering mail, and the male came out and screamed “I’m going to get you.” The caller has spoken to his boss about the issue, and he is being put on a different route. Officers spoke to the post office supervisor and the homeowner. Last week, an incident occurred where the homeowner’s mail was scattered across his yard. He then got into a verbal altercation where he allegedly made threats. The post office supervisor has elected to switch the current mail carrier to a different route and officers advised the homeowner to contact the post office with his issues rather than confronting the mail carrier.

A caller is reporting that his mother is disturbing the peace in the household. The mother is upset that one of the male’s friends has been staying at the house. Officers spoke to the male homeowner. His friend believes the homeowner’s mother is a danger to herself and others. Officers stood by and observed the residence for several minutes and saw no suspicious activity or behavior. Officers advised the homeowner to contact his mother’s doctor if he believes she is having a change of mental status. He was also, once again, advised of the eviction process.

A male is on the line reporting that his girlfriend punched him in the face. Upon initial contact with the caller, he began yelling at his girlfriend who was in their bedroom. An officer advised the male to stop yelling at the female, so the incident could be investigated. The male stated he would not be told what to do in his own house and that officers were there to help him not her. The male was asked what occurred, and he would only state he was punched in the face, and he refused to speak further on the incident. The male had no visible marks on his person. The female advised officers that she did push the male, but it was in an attempt to leave the bedroom where he was refusing to let her leave. The male and female continued to argue and refused to cooperate with officers. The male was asked if he wished to pursue charges, and he stated he did. The male was advised that the incident would be sent to the prosecutor’s office for review, and that photographs of him were needed along with a written statement. At this point, the male became irate and told officers to leave. The male stated with the logic officers were using, that he could put an orange in a sock and beat the female with it as it would cause no marks. The male was advised again what could be done for him, but he refused to listen and kept screaming for officers to leave. The male was also advised on his warrant through the Independence Police Department.

The caller stated her son’s father was making threats. He said he was going to fight her husband if he looked at the son wrong. The caller played a recorded phone message where the two were arguing and the son’s father threatened to fight him in his yard. She was advised to not argue with him and to notify the police if the male showed up at her residence without permission.

The caller said her 25-year-old daughter tore apart some furniture. There are no weapons involved, or substance abuse, she just has a temper. Nothing physical was directed towards the mother. The caller is in the garage. Officers spoke to the daughter who stated she was mad at her mother because she got into a physical altercation in Warrensville Heights, and her mother didn’t stick up for her. The female and daughter agreed to separate for the night to keep the peace. The daughter was advised to go to Warrensville Heights to make a report for assault.

An officer spoke to a female complainant who stated she has been having ongoing problems with her boyfriend’s mother. This includes harassment by the mother, and also the mother being physical towards her. The female complainant stated her boyfriend’s mother came over today and they were involved in a verbal argument and at some point the mother scratched her face. The complainant wants the issue documented for future reference and did not want to pursue any charges. The complainant was advised on how to obtain a protection order.

There has been no drinking or drugs. The female is waiting outside for officers. Officers responded and spoke with both parties. After listening to both sides, it appears both are agitating each other. There are no signs of physical abuse. They will stay away from each other to keep the peace. The 20-year-old daughter was the voice of reason and stated each of her parents are equally wrong.

While officers were out on a traffic stop, they were flagged down by multiple homeowners on Harriman about a male shooting a slingshot with paintballs towards neighbor’s vehicles and persons. A male was identified by video and was given a summons for shooting projectiles.

No signs of any physical altercation.

No suspects were located at any time. He was advised to keep his doors and windows locked and his shades closed.

An officer attempted to contact the two juvenile males who were in the house but was unsuccessful in doing so. The mother wanted the two males advised that they are not welcome back at the house. She was updated that the police were unable to make contact with the boys and was told to attempt to contact the boys using her daughter’s phone. No further police action needed at this time.

Two vehicles are blocking the caller’s driveway. There is no description of the vehicles because it is dark. The vehicles are unoccupied; the drivers went to a party on the street. There is no known address of the party, but the caller advised the officers they will definitely be able to tell at which house the party is being held. He said there are like 200 people at this party, and they are parking in everyone’s driveways without permission. A male reporting that a jeep wrangler is parked in his driveway. He is starting to verbally argue with the people outside. Another caller called back to advise that the vehicles are now parking in the driveway at the house to the left, and persons are getting out of vehicles and urinating outside. A male brandished a gun at all people roughly two houses down from where the party is. Bedford is sending units. One of the parties in the truck has a gun. Officer now is in possession of one of the guns.

The argument was over bills and a pending eviction. Both parties were calm upon arrival of the police and stated they were going to take a walk to cool off.

She is at her mother’s house. Officers found a footprint on the door. The male answered the door. He did have belongings in the apartment. He had moved some things out of the apartment. Officers cannot determine residency at this time. If the female needs him to move out, she needs to follow up with the court.

The caller is claiming that he also took her friend’s phone who is also at the apartment. The parties were advised that this is a civil issue. Their lease is up on the 31st, and they are set to move out.

The caller is reporting that her sister drank too much and now she is jumping on her son. The caller advised that there is a gun in the house, but it has not been brandished in this incident. It is upstairs in her bedroom. There are no other weapons in the house. No squad was requested. The nephew pulled out the sister’s gun – the sister took the gun back inside. All parties have been separated.

The caller is trying to get separated from him, but he’s standing in the doorway of her bedroom Officers spoke with all parties involved. The argument was between a female and her son who does reside there. The female claimed the male punched her grandson in the head. The male stated he grabbed the boy on the arm because the boy would not stop hitting him. Officers spoke with the boy who was happy and did not show any signs of abuse. The female claims the male is mentally disabled, and she was advised of the probate process.

An officer is out speaking with a male who was putting tires in his vehicle. The male stated his vehicle stopped running, and he pushed it there to be worked on in the morning. The officer observed a male taking tires and putting them on top of his vehicle. The male stated that he used those tires to help push his vehicle from Rainbow Mufflers & Brake to Bubbas’ so they could work on it in the morning.
