A caller states that there was just a male that broke out the window of an apartment and climbed in. This is a neighbor watching from her window. The caller is working from home and could not stay on the phone. Officers arrived and spoke to the male resident at the apartment. His cousin was the male that climbed in the window because they were locked out of the apartment. Everything checked OK.

The store manager states that a male was filling up hand carts full of items and leaving them around the store. The manager asked if he could help the male carry the baskets to the front. The customer got irate and began throwing items around the store. The manager told the male to leave and followed him outside to ensure that he did. The customer accused the manager of striking him in the face, but there is no evidence to support that claim. The male was advised of trespassing.

The complainant stated that while walking in the Metroparks (Hawthorn Parkway) near the overpass, he was confronted by a male who was riding a bicycle. The complainant stated that the male, upon seeing him on the all-purpose path from the roadway, went onto the path and stopped in front of him almost trying to start a fight. The complainant stated that he usually wears his Pittsburgh Steelers attire when walking. The complainant stated that this is not the first time that the male has approached on the bike. The complainant does not know why the male confronts him. The complainant stated that he has cataracts, and that his vision is not what it was. He stated that he had an issue approximately two to three years ago while walking in Bedford with a similar male who had a pit bull. The male from this incident told the complainant that he and his dog had the right of way on the sidewalk. The complainant stated that he contacted the animal warden about the problem and was told that the male was wrong and the animal warden addressed the matter with the male. The complainant stated that the general build of the male matched that male from the incident. An officer advised the male that he would check the area on Aug. 22 at the time when he walks. The complainant was also advised to contact the Metroparks police about the incident. No statement was obtained due to the male’s eye issues.

The complainant called to report the theft of catalytic convertor from a dump truck. The complainant advised that he will meet the officer in the showroom. An officer met with the complainant who stated that on Aug. 21 a worker started the dump truck and discovered the converter missing. The vehicle was parked in the dirt lot behind the dealership. In checking the security video, on July 27 at approximately 0159 hours, two men are observed going through vehicles in the dealership lot. The males entered the lot from the area where the dump truck was parked. The value of the theft is $800.

An officer spoke with the complainant in the lobby for a report of harassment. The complainant stated he had a contract agreement with a male to make repairs to a garage. The male allegedly contacted the complainant’s cousin and friend in an attempt to obtain the complainant’s address because of a money dispute. The complainant stated he felt harassed due to the male stating, “I’ll see you,” to him during a phone call. The complainant just wanted a report documented.

The Chevy the driver was in had stopped in the middle of the street in front of the BP blocking traffic. A caller stated the male was originally driving the wrong way. The listed vehicle was towed. Officers called management as well as the complainant in regards to theft allegations. Management was aware of the female’s claims and stated the items she believes to be stolen were a George Foreman grill and a space heater. Both of these items are not allowed on the premises, so they do not believe these claims to be valid. Officers spoke to the health care social worker, and she stated that the female is somewhat of a hoarder, so she simply may have misplaced several items. At this time, officers do not believe these allegations to be founded and advised management to follow up if they find any information proving otherwise.

Officers spoke to the complainant and her son about their issues. The mother believes the son is not responsible and does not help around the house. He was there with his 3-year-old daughter and was planning to leave and go to a friend’s house. The child’s mother arrived and took custody of the child and the male left without incident. The complainant was advised of the eviction process.

The caller is a travel agent working from home and advised that a male has been trying to book a trip using about 10 different credit cards with different addresses. The complainant stated the male attempted to book a flight for him and a friend. The complainant stated the cards kept being declined, so she advised she could not complete his request. The complainant did not suffer any monetary loss. The department called the number given for the male, and the male who answered stated he did not know about the issue and hung up mid-conversation.

A report came in saying that a male took money at gunpoint. Bedford Heights police are responding. It is unknown if the male got into a car or not. There has been a five-minute lapse. There were no injuries reported. Two employees are in the store. The man had facial tattoos and went towards the rear of the building. The Bedford Heights police are on the scene and the interior is secure and clear.

The caller reports that he got into a verbal argument with his daughter. The female backed her vehicle into the house and gas meter while she was attempting to leave. Dominion Gas responded to check the meter and photos of the damage were taken. This is an ongoing situation between the two parties over a civil matter. The caller believes she struck the house in an effort to hit him with her car. An officer spoke to the female on the phone. She denies that the accident was intentional and provided her insurance information.

The complainant called reporting she is being harassed and followed by her boyfriend. They are currently walking on Broadway Avenue. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with the male who said that they live in Oakwood Village and she left on foot after an argument. He followed, asking her to just come back home. She got upset with him and pepper sprayed him. Neither party wanted to pursue any charges. The male was uncooperative and refused treatment. The couple just wanted to go home together and let him take a shower to get the pepper spray off.

The subject taken to Bedford Medical Center.

A female is in the caller’s house is threatening to knock her out because she doesn’t want to leave. The caller would only describe the female as a really big girl. Officers are speaking with the female. She is EWW with other departments for theft. Once the female was dropped off at CCSO Bedford Heights, she began complaining about medical issues due to her recent bypass. CCSO was advised of her recent surgery. CCSO requested the police to transport her to the hospital and stand by with her until being relieved. Due to manpower issues, they were advised the police could not do that, so other arrangements were made on their end.

They made contact with the female’s mother who states that she will advise her daughter of the complainant.

An officer spoke with a caller who stated her father has been having medical and memory issues recently. She stated that earlier today around 1400 hours, she was notified by her father’s neighbors that he had fallen and had significant blood loss on the floor. The caller said that she helped clean it up and that her father denied any medical attention from the fall. Furthermore, she added that her father kept about $100, cigarettes, and medicine in the top drawer of a dresser in the living room as you first walk in. When she went to check on him today, she noticed that all of those items were missing and his credit cards were scattered inside his wallet instead of in the pockets. She also mentioned that her father keeps his front door unlocked and did so last night. She is unsure if someone came in and pushed her father down and took his belongings. To her knowledge, there is nothing else taken in the house and no manipulation of any items. The caller was advised to refill the medicine prescriptions for her father and to lock the front door every night. The occupational therapist for the father was contacted. She stated that at approximately 1400-1530 hours., she was with the male. She added that when she arrived at the house, he answered the door and had blood coming from the side of his head and all over his T-shirt. There was also blood next to his television. The therapist asked him if he wanted to go to the hospital, or for 911 to be contacted, and he was extremely adamant that he did not want any medical professionals called. The male did not mention he had anything stolen. He told the therapist he does not know how he fell and believes he “blacked out.” The therapist had called the male’s daughter and notified her of his injuries. The daughter contacted the next door neighbors to sit with her father until she arrived. The therapist also notified a superior about the injuries.

The complainant then went to get her car washed and realized her wallet was missing. The complainant went back to AutoZone and was not able to find her wallet. The complainant believes she left it at the register. Loss prevention will review the cameras and contact the police department.

The complainant is being harassed by his step-father and another party. They are making threats on the complainant’s life through texts. Officers spoke with the complainant and the subject of the complaint. A long history of money issues has resulted in a fractured relationship. The complainant stated the other male has sent more than 30 handwritten letters, left 10 voicemails and countless text messages about this money issue. He has nothing to say to the male and would like all contact to stop. Officers spoke with the other male on the phone who was advised this is a civil issue if he wants to receive his money. He was advised not to have any contact with the complainant and he agreed to cease any communications.

An officer spoke with the complainant, who stated he allowed his nephew to move into his residence several weeks ago because he thought the nephew was not doing drugs anymore. He now believes the nephew has started to get high again. The nephew is becoming verbally abusive and is damaging property, including breaking a window in the house. The complainant was advised on the eviction process and how to obtain a protection order.

The female caller went outside to a vehicle in the parking lot occupied by a male to confront him about his loud music. The male is in an older model tan sedan. The caller states the male was on the phone telling another person to “bring a gun.” The caller states the male lives in the apartment above her. The female advised she took a firearm outside of the house with her when she confronted the male. She was advised to leave the gun inside of her apartment and leave it down when the officers come to speak to her. Officers spoke to both parties involved in the altercation. The male half was in the parking lot getting ready to leave for work. He admitted his music was loud, and that the female initially came out and asked him to turn it down. He stated he told her he was leaving shortly, and she returned with her boyfriend. The males exchanged words but nothing physical occurred. They were both advised to be more neighborly and sent on their way.

An officer responded and spoke with the complainant for a report of a disturbance. The complainant stated he and his ex-girlfriend broke up this morning, and she became very emotional. The complainant stated the female came to his home to return some clothes and she set them on fire on the sidewalk. The complainant does not want the female to return to his home. An officer attempted to contact the female to advise of trespassing, but there was no answer. A voicemail was left for her to call the department.

Officers responded to the area for a report of a noise complaint. Officers located a group of people outside in front of their vehicles listening to music. Officers spoke with a male resident of the apartment complex that stated they were just about to leave due to the complaint. Officers identified the male who was EWW with Garfield Heights. While taking the male into custody, the male admitted to having a firearm in his waistband. The male did have an active CCW permit. The male was transported by an officer to meet with Garfield Heights police and the firearm was entered into property for safekeeping. The male was advised on how to retrieve his firearm from property. The rest of the individuals were advised of the complaint and sent on their way.

A male called the police and was very irate and kept yelling, “Come get this thundercat out of my house,” and “Y’all know where I am.” The female could be heard yelling in the background as well. He refused to answer any questions and hung up. Officers responded to the residence for a disturbance. The male on scene stated that his girlfriend was not leaving his residence. The female stated she lived at the residence and that she is missing her keys, and that the male had taken them. Officers were able to locate the keys outside the residence and return them to the owner. Both parties stated nothing physical occurred, and that they would attempt to keep the peace for the evening. No further police action was needed at that time.

A male reports that he spent the night at a female friend’s apartment, and now he is unable to find the keys for his car. The male states that the female used his car keys without his permission to enter his vehicle and put his bag in there. He said then she hid his keys. An officer spoke to the female who admitted that she used the male’s keys to put his bag in his car and then misplaced them. After a search of the apartment, the keys were located in the back seat of the male’s vehicle.

He received a call from another tenant, and he is en route. The male stated his girlfriend was on her phone in the hallway and he was just trying to get her to quiet down. Three people are fighting outside of a red vehicle. No weapons are seen. Males and females are present. One of the involved persons just left in a white Ford on Taft Avenue. A request was sent out to Walton Hills police for mutual aid. The males who left secured a Ford pickup and left it parked on the property before leaving. Other people involved are still on scene. An additional caller is advising that a female was assaulted, but it was reportedly a verbal argument between a male and female. The male arrived while officers were on scene. The female left the area, and the male left in the pickup truck for which he had the keys.

The caller advised he came to the apartment to advise his ex-girlfriend to stop harassing him. He stated he just wanted the keys to his apartment. The keys were returned, and he left without further incident. She was transported back to Bedford jail.

The caller was contacted via telephone by a person identifying themself as a DEA agent working in Texas. The DEA agent told the caller that his vehicle was seized after it was used by others to smuggle drugs. The agent advised the caller that in order to clear him and his vehicle from any liability, he needed to send them $5,000 for some type of bond. When the caller told the agent he was unable to go to the bank, the agent said he could just send him Target gift cards instead. The caller went to several Giant Eagles and purchased $5000 worth of Target gift cards, and then provided the gift card numbers to the agent. An officer told the caller he was scammed and there is very little the police can do. He was advised his report would be on file and to go onto the Ohio Attorney General website to advise them of the incident.

A female says her Ring camera picked up someone in a white pickup truck pull into her driveway. They pulled away but in an unknown direction. The female thinks that one person is driving, and another is out walking looking at residences in the area. Officers are at Center Road with the truck. There are two children in the vehicle with the male operator. Officers are transporting two juveniles to the police lobby to wait for their ride. They are transporting the male to meet the Parma police. Officers were able to locate the listed vehicle and conduct a traffic stop. The operator stated they were just driving in the area when their dog got loose and the juveniles chased after it. After investigation, it was determined the operator was scouting the area for a potential crime. The juveniles were turned over to their grandparents.

A Ring camera shows someone trying to get into the caller’s backyard. The caller would like to speak to an officer and show the video footage. An officer responded and spoke with a female for a report of suspicion. The female stated her Ring camera captured a male attempting to open the gate on the east side of her fence at 0354 hours today. The gate was locked and the male was unable to gain entry into the backyard. On the video, the male was seen pulling on the gate handle and then running away. Swabs were obtained from the gate handle and were entered into property. The male was wearing the same clothing as another recently reported suspect.

Officers were dispatched to the area of Broadway near Burger King for a hit-skip. The suspect continued north on Broadway, and officers were unable to locate it at the time of the call. The complainant had to return to work and advised that he would come to the station to follow up after work. Officers spoke to him on the phone and met him at his residence. The complainant, as well as officers, were unable to find any damage to his vehicle or a single point of contact. He alleged that the hit-skip driver attempted to pass him to the right when the alleged contact was made. Officers spoke to the suspect vehicle owner who stated her son was driving the vehicle. After conferring with the complainant, he elected not to pursue anything due to the lack of damage to his vehicle. Officers advised the female owner, as well as the driver, of hit-skip and also about passing to the right. There will be no further police action.

Officers spoke to the male, who agreed to bring the vehicle back in exchange for getting his property from the residence. The complainant was also advised to call should he return.

Officers spoke to the female in the lobby in regards to a paycheck missing from her vehicle. She stated the check was in the glove compartment, and she is unable to locate it. She believes her vehicle was locked as she drove around yesterday to multiple client’s homes. There is no damage to her vehicle, and she is not missing anything else in the vehicle. Her company has stopped payment on that check and will be issuing her another check so no loss occurred. She just needed it documented per her company policy and she was provided the report number.

A female was in the lobby and explained she was looking into buying a house and using the Trulia app. She found a house she liked but found the same house on Craigslist for cheaper. The female explained she contacted the “seller” on Craigslist through the provided email and was asked to provide a down payment of $1,400. The female agreed and sent over the money via Cash App to an account. When the person she was emailing asked her for her bank account information, she realized it was a scam. The female also sent over her driver license number. The female was advised to follow up with her bank and the BMV for a fraud alert on her license.

The female complainant stated that she received a call from her live-in boyfriend at 0300 hours today. During the call, the male supposedly stated that he was going to beat her beyond recognition. The female originally stated she only wanted a restraining order. The female stated she did not want police at her residence at the time and so she waited to come after work. When asked about where the male was currently, the female stated she had not seen him in about a day and did not know where he was. When confronted with telling two different versions of events, the female stated that the male was at her residence when she arrived home from work at 6:30 p.m. The female stated that an argument did ensue due to her stating she was going to the police, but she never touched the male during it. The female stated the male slammed her car door and that is when she left for the police station. The female wishes to pursue charges against the male. She was advised that the entire situation, including a call with the male to get his version of events, will be reviewed by the prosecutor for any appropriate charges. The female was advised as to how to obtain a protection order while charges are reviewed.

A male’s ex-girlfriend just punched him in the back of the head. He is on the ground and says he has blurred vision. The female left in a Ford sedan. Officers arrived on scene to find the male laying on the ground holding the back of his head. The male stated that he was hit in the back of his head by his girlfriend after a verbal argument. The male then stated it “could have been some sort of object.” Officers checked the male and he had no visible injuries in the area he stated he was struck. Officers also checked the immediate area where the male was lying and there were no “objects” that could be observed that were used to strike someone. The male was transported to the hospital by EMS, and the police left him a statement form to fill out as he wishes to pursue charges. The male states that he has “blurred” vision, so he will fill the form out when his vision returns.

He did not have the court paperwork with him at that time, but he did show officers a photo of the alleged agreement that stated the female half was supposed to bring his 6-year-old son to the agreed upon location, and she has not. He does not feel that his son’s safety is in danger, he just feels that she is doing this out of spite. He was provided the report number and advised to contact his attorney to file a violation in court.

Vehicle 1 and Vehicle 2 were traveling south on Broadway Avenue near Franklin. Both parties had conflicting stories as to what happened in the accident. Vehicle 1 claimed he was waiting to turn left when Vehicle 2 struck him in the rear and then left the scene of the accident. Vehicle 2 claimed she was waiting for Vehicle 1 to turn left when he reversed his vehicle and struck her in the front bumper. She then pulled over with Vehicle 1 and they exchanged information, but she did not have an insurance card on her. Officers checked the area and were unable to find cameras to prove whose story was correct. There were also no witnesses identified by either party. Both parties had valid insurance and claimed no injury in the accident. Photos were taken, and the drivers were provided the report number for insurance purposes. They were advised that no fault would be determined by officers, and each of them needed to contact their insurance for damages.

The complainant stated he was concerned a fight was going to ensue over a football rivalry and wanted a report documented. The complainant made a similar report previously.

Between Aug. 25 and Sept. 1, unknown person(s) scratched the complainant’s vehicle. The scratches were located on the front driver side quarter panel. The complainant believes the young children who live in the complex are responsible for the damage. This is an ongoing issue between the complainant and the children. The complainant advised the officer that he had recorded video of the incident. The complainant was told there will be no further investigation unless he is able to provide video evidence to the police department.
