GARFIELD HEIGHTS — Are you a resident of Cuyahoga County and have an old TV laying around, taking up space? The Cuyahoga County Solid Waste District will host a television recycling event on March 13.

The Solid Waste District will accept any television for recycling at 4750 East 131 St. in Garfield Heights from 9:00-11:00 a.m. A fee of $20 per unit will be charged, payable by cash or check only. Registration is required.

This is a drive-through trunk service; the television will be unloaded from your vehicle for you. Attendees should always stay in their vehicle. Face coverings are required.

See details or register for the event at www.cuyahogarecycles.org/televisions

Televisions will be processed and recycled by Regency Technologies in Stow. Tube televisions and flat-screen TVs contain harmful, toxic chemicals and parts. If they are not safely disposed of, they can leak chemicals into the ground and air, harming our drinking water and air quality. Many components inside a TV are recyclable.

If you are unable to attend this seasonal event, Best Buy offers in-store recycling of televisions up to 32″ and other electronics. Visit www.bestbuy.com/recycling
