The Bedford Downtown Alliance is giving residents an opportunity to come downtown on Friday, June 4 for an evening of fun while also recognizing Bedford’s “Hometown Heroes.” This First Fridays event will be dedicated to frontline workers such as teachers, safety forces, and service departments, and the Downtown Alliance hopes many Hometown Heroes and others come out and enjoy the long list of planned events.

First Friday Celebrate Hometown Heroes
When: June 4 at 6 p.m.-8 p.m.
Where: Veterans Park in Bedford’s Historic Downtown District  

• Chalk the Walk – sidewalks around the Bedford Commons
• Meet & Greet local safety forces
• Food
• Complimentary hotdog meals at Veterans Park (while supplies last)
• $1 pizza slices at the Tomato Co.
• Extended shopping hours at participating stores
• Free raffles – Enter to win prizes donated by Bedford businesses
• Jumbo cards for Hometown Heroes
• Nominate a teacher entry
• DJ entertainment
• Free giveaway
– The first 25 groups and/or households to check-in at the BDA Promotions table  • Basketball hoops

The Bedford Downtown Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting and improving downtown’s business vitality. First Fridays provide extended shopping hours, food, music, games, raffles, and giveaways for all attendees. Events take place in Bedford’s historic downtown district between Columbus Road and Bedford Commons the first Fridays of each month from May through October from 6 pm. to 8 p.m.
