An upcoming special observance will take the congregation outside the church building. The Church of the Four Winds will celebrate Yom Teruah, the Day of Shouting, on Saturday, September 12, at 9:00 a.m. at Hermit’s Hollow Picnic Area, 18753 Egbert Road in Bedford.

The gathering will include shofar blowing, worship and teaching as the congregation welcomes the new year. The event is open to the community, and families are welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Those planning to bring a kosher meal are asked to contact the church beforehand.

Through its regular worship, educational programs and special gatherings, the Church of the Four Winds provides several ways for Bedford-area residents to learn about the congregation and take part in its community.
