As reported by the Ohio Lottery, a Bedford Heights woman won $50,000 after matching all five numbers in an Ohio Lottery PICK 5 drawing last month.
The winning ticket was from the midday drawing on Aug. 22. The woman placed a $1 straight bet and correctly selected the numbers 3-2-2-1-7 in the exact order.
According to the Ohio Lottery, the odds of matching all five PICK 5 numbers in order are 1 in 100,000.
The $50,000 prize is subject to mandatory federal and state taxes totaling 26.75%, leaving the winner with $36,625 after withholding.
The winning ticket was purchased at Harvard Gas, located at 4723 Harvard Avenue in Newburgh Heights.
PICK 5 drawings are held twice daily, seven days a week, at 12:29 p.m. and 7:29 p.m. Players select a five-digit number and can choose from several wager types, with prizes depending on the amount wagered and how the numbers are matched.
