Bedford’s Bearcats recorded October victories in soccer, volleyball and junior varsity football while facing a challenging slate of opponents.
Boys Soccer
The varsity boys earned a 3–1 victory over Medina Christian Academy on October 6. Bedford dropped two close contests, falling 3–2 to Fuchs Mizrachi on October 5 and 3–2 in a rematch with Medina Christian Academy on October 13. The Bearcats also lost 6–0 at Chardon on October 19.
The junior varsity team fell 3–1 to Open Door Christian on October 12. A score was not reported for its October 14 game at Trinity.
Girls Volleyball
Varsity volleyball swept Warrensville Heights 3–0 on October 15. Other October results included a five-set loss to Garfield Heights, 3–2, on October 7; a 3–0 loss to Independence on October 14; and a 3–0 loss at Gilmour Academy on October 27.
The junior varsity squad recorded straight-set victories over Garfield Heights on October 7 and Warrensville Heights on October 15, winning both matches 2–0. Bedford’s JV team lost 2–0 to Independence on October 14. The freshman team fell 2–1 to Warrensville Heights on October 15.
Football
The junior varsity football team earned a 20–16 victory over Warrensville Heights on October 24.
Varsity football results included a 40–0 loss to Maple Heights on October 8, a 44–16 loss to Youngstown on October 17 and a closely contested 24–18 loss at Warrensville Heights on October 23.
