The Bedford Garden Club is excited to announce that they will be celebrating their 90th anniversary in 2017. The Bedford Garden Club is the oldest continuously running garden club in Ohio, Therefore the 90th anniversary is a proud milestone.

To celebrate the 90th anniversary, The Bedford Garden Club will be sponsoring a series of special events. These events will include the Bedford Garden and Art Tour on June 17th, sponsoring a planting of nine ornamental trees at the Bedford Cemetery, a Dinner Gala on September 21st and helping to fund an art instillation to be placed in the Bedford Historical Society Gardens.

These special events will be in addition to The Bedford Garden Club’s normal yearly activities. As usual, the garden club will be holding their monthly meetings and educational lectures at Ellenwood Recreation Center. They will be having a plant sale on May 12th and 13th, handing out the Bedford Beauties awards for the prettiest yards in Bedford, sponsoring an Arbor Day planting of a tree, supporting the Bedford Community Garden and maintaining the gardens at Babyland in the Bedford Cemetery, the Rotunda in front of City Hall, the Union Street Bridge flower baskets and the Bedford Historical Society garden.
