Location: Turney Road
Party on station regarding a subject who threatened her with a gun in August. The complainant was able to obtain the name of the person and vehicle information of the female who pointed the gun at her from several friends. Officers determined there would not be enough evidence to pursue charges; no video or corroborating witnesses. The complainant was advised on how to obtain a Civil Protection Order. Voicemail message was left on suspect’s phone advising her to have no further contact.

Caller advising a group 10 customers is trying to walk out on their bill. Customers are trying to leave. They are still in the restaurant at this time. Employee will call back if they leave prior to officers’ arrival. Two parties left prior to officer’s arrival without paying a $6 bill. Management did not wish to pursue it any further.

Complainant is getting harassment on his cellphone. The male is in the lobby. Male believes he is being harassed by an unknown person that may have hacked his phone. The unknown person has been messaging the complainant’s contacts and threatening to share images to the complainant’s social media platforms. The male was advised to change his passwords and to contact Apple for advice on how to protect his information.

Contractor had a paint sprayer taken from a vacant home recently. He is on the scene and would like to speak to an officer. The complainant stated that he was last at the vacant home on Sunday. Between that time and the time of the call, unknown person(s) took a Graco paint sprayer valued at $800 and three gallons of paint. The complainant is a subcontractor for another subcontractor so there are many people working on the home. The complainant will make contact with the subcontractor which contracted him to see if another worker took the sprayer. No signs of forced entry.

Officers spoke with the complainant in the lobby who believes someone illegally started electrical service using her businesses tax identification number. A bill of approximately $297 is outstanding at a Northfield Road address. Officers stopped out to the residence but it appears vacant. Officers spoke with the last known resident, who lived there in March 2017. The service was started well after then. After checking county websites, it appears the owner has no listed contact information. Unable to find any information for the possible company/owner. The complainant was provided the report number to forward onto The Illuminating Company’s fraud bureau.

Location: Broadway Avenue (Ganley Volkswagen)
About 15 minutes ago, a male in a Honda was driving through the reserved lot suspiciously for about 5-10 minutes. When confronted, he had no good reason to be looking at cars. The car is no longer on scene. The employee stated the car was seen in the reserve lot, and the employee blocked the vehicle in and inquired as to why the driver was back there. The driver and passenger stated they were looking for a car. When questioned further about which car and the need for a salesmen, the driver became agitated and told the employee to move his car now. The employee followed the vehicle and got the license plate and noted it, and then pulled into a lot further north on Broadway Avenue. Both males in the car appeared to be between 35-40 years old and the windows were heavily tinted on the vehicle. The employee believes the males may be casing the place. The employee was advised to call should they see the vehicle again. Also they were advised to take an inventory of the vehicles in the area, and see if any vehicles were damaged.

The female complainant stated that she bought a vehicle from an auto dealership in October of 2018. The vehicle was listed at $2,500 and the female paid $2,000 cash for the vehicle. The remaining amount was verbally agreed to be paid when the complainant was able to. Since October, the $500 has not been paid and the male party involved has called the complainant at her place of employment and on her personal cell phone. The complainant requested to fill out a statement form and was given the report number for her records. She stated she does not want the police to call the business.

The complainant stated that he just rented the property and dropped off some pictures at the house and left around 12:20 p.m. today. At 12:31 p.m. a neighbor contacted him and stated that there were some juveniles on the property. The complainant returned to the property and found that a window on the front door was broken out and the door unlocked allowing access to the home. The complainant stated that the pictures that he just dropped off were knocked over. Officer responded to photograph the damage, however the residence indicated has a steel front door with no windows. Several attempts were made to call the complainant back but there was no answer and the voice mailbox is full.

The complainant stated that he received a call from an auto dealer – his previous workplace – advising that a male made threats on his life via a phone call. The same suspect is currently incarcerated for a felonious assault against the complainant. The complainant wishes to pursue charges. Officers responded to the dealership and spoke with the sales representative who spoke to the suspect. No specific threats toward the complainant were made via phone. The complainant was updated with this information and that no charges were going to be filed in Bedford. The complainant began to swear at officers and the phone call was terminated.

Location: Rockside Road (Advanced Auto Parts – Bedford)
Vehicle was occupied and is now unoccupied. Officer out looking for the driver. The Wickliffe Police Department was contacted to go to the vehicle owner and see if he knows his vehicle is in Bedford and ask if it will be moved before it is towed. Contact was made with the owner. He was having vehicle issues and left the car there and plans to be there in the morning to move it.

Complainant states a male just called her stating he was her grandson and requested money. The complainant advised she knew the call was a scam call and wanted to report the incident. She told the caller she did not believe he was her grandson, and he disconnected from the line. When she called the number back it was out of service.

A group of cars was parked at end of street, and people were out of their cars. There were approximately six cars when a resident asked what they were doing. They advised they were playing a game. All of the vehicles left prior to officers arrival, and all checks okay

Location: Center Road (Bedford Jail)
The jailer reported that male in phone room damaged the glass on the door to the room. Man was charged with criminal damaging. He was held on a $1250 bond.

Caller reporting loud booms in the area, possibly near the apartments near Northfield Road. She saw police cars going through the area. She is unsure what it is. She has no further information. The source of the noise was the city vehicles throwing salt down in the area and plowing the streets. Everything checks OK.

Caller states someone is knocking on her door, and she can see who it is. She has a no-contact order against her ex. She is not sure if it is him. She can’t see anyone or anything. There are no cars in the drive. The complainant thinks the male may be inside the garage. Officer states the garage is cleared and all checks out OK. The male’s property in the garage was removed and scattered in the area.

Location: Corkhill Road
Caller states that she believes here cellphone was taken by a guest who left one hour ago. Caller states she tried to track her phone but it has been shut off. She did not witness the male take the phone. Complainant attempted to contact the friend who denied having possession. Complainant contacted the phone carrier, and her attempts to track the phone were unsuccessful. Officer left a message for the friend to contact the station prior to phone being entered as stolen. Officer spoke with the friend who stated they went to the Racino last night for drinks and dancing. They returned home and slept on the floor in the living room. When he left this morning, he stated he was in her view the entire time as he gathered his belongings. He did not recall seeing the phone the whole night. On file for insurance purposes.

Caller states her son’s father is calling and threatening to kill her. She is unsure where he lives or what kind of car he drives. The father of the complainant’s child is making indirect threats to her over the phone. She has tried to get protection orders in the past but was unsuccessful or never followed through with paperwork. She wanted information and was given advice on how to obtain a restraining order through domestic relations court. As of now she only has a verbal agreed upon visitation schedule and her child will not be going with the father today. She did not want officers to contact the father at this time. She also has an uncle coming over to stay with her for the day. She was advised to contact the police if the father would show up at her house.

Male involved in possible overdose. It is unknown on what substance he overdosed, but he is now breathing. He was given Narcan. At disconnect, the male was awake and caller yelled at him that she had to give him Narcan. There was no answer on callback. Officers responded and located a man standing in the driveway. He was conscious and alert and claimed he was just sleeping. There was no evidence of drugs, drug paraphernalia, or Narcan. The caller was not around, and she did not leave her name with dispatch. The incident does not meet any of the four criteria for police action.

Caller says her son’s father is threatening her and won’t let her leave. No violence, drugs or alcohol involved. There are two children in the house. Both parties were arguing about the female taking the son out of the house. The male was upset and did not want her to take the son. He was advised that without court paperwork, the mother may take her son if she wishes. Both parties agreed to work things out.

Complainant states her husband is harassing her by email, text and phone calls. She stated that she divorced her husband back in 2018 and he has been threatening her by phone messages and texts ever since. She stated that she would like to obtain a protection order against him. Complainant was advised that she needed to go downtown on Tuesday for the protection order. She was also advised to keep records of the voicemails and texts and the police could charge her ex-husband accordingly if they do not stop. Her ex-husband was contacted over the phone and he was advised of the consequences of his actions. He stated he would stop. No further police action is necessary at this time.

Male had a visitor to his home two days ago and the male allegedly stole money from the complainant. The complainant was at his residence with his former tenant. Shortly after the tenant left the house, the complainant went to the complainant’s bedroom to get his $800 in cash which was in the dresser. When he opened the drawer of the dresser, the money was not there. He believes the tenant is responsible for the theft due to the tenant being evicted from the house due to thefts. No video or witness to alleged theft.
