The service manager reports the suspect had service work done on his car in March totaling $7,008.34. When the repairs were complete, employees made numerous attempts to contact the suspect to pick up the car and pay for the services but were unable to make contact with him. Sometime between August and the time of the call, the car has gone missing, and it is believed the suspect took the car with a spare set of keys. There is no video of the car leaving the parking lot. The suspect’s residence is in Cleveland.

A male who shot himself in the leg is in the emergency room. The weapon is on the front seat and hospital security has the vehicle secured. It occurred at Kia of Bedford. Officers spoke to a witness who stated the male was showing him his firearm when it accidentally discharged shooting himself in the leg. The firearm was run through leads and it did not come back in the files.  Officers will attempt to contact the witness to fill out a statement form. The firearm was secured in the male’s trunk and turned over to his girlfriend.

The caller let her 14-year-old son go visit his grandparents in Oakwood Village. The grandparents are refusing to bring him back to Mom’s house in Bedford. The female just wants to speak to an officer for advice only at this time. The caller has custody of her son. Officers attempted to contact the parents but were unable to do so and left a message.

The complainant stated that on 09/29/21 he was notified by the fraud department of the Firefighters Credit Union of suspicious activity on his debit card. The complainant was still in possession of his card but four purchases were made without his knowledge. The complainant was issued a new card by the credit union. He was advised the information would be on file.

The complainant came into the lobby to report fraud. She was recently looking for work and sending out her resume on Indeed. She was contacted by someone who was representing a wealth management company. The person texted her regarding a data entry administrative position. After an interview, the complainant  was hired and sent rules and regulation forms and a start date. The complainant was sent a check for $48,899.30 so she could buy office supplies from various vendors. But before the check arrived, the complainant was informed to send money of her own to various companies for supplies. The complainant received the check on Sept. 30, 2021, and  then attempted to deposit it. On Oct. 5, 2021, she was told the check passed through US Bank, however, when the complainant was getting gas later in the day, her card was declined. When the complainant contacted the bank, they told her the check was sent back to the sender. The complainant tried getting into contact with the person who sent the check to talk about this situation, but he has not replied. In all, the complainant believes she has lost around $3,000 of her own money and needed a police report to follow up with her bank.

A 16-year-old male is beating up on the caller and hitting her in the arm. He just walked out of the house and is believed to be in the front yard. The caller does not need an ambulance.

A female is in the police lobby to make a report of harassment by her ex-boyfriend. The female explained that the male has been calling her multiple times making general threats to her on voicemails. The female has also been receiving calls to her place of work and filed a report with the Euclid Police Department as well. The female wanted the incident documented to follow up with obtaining a civil protection order. She  was also advised to block his number. An officer was unable to make contact with the male.

The caller says a client is attacking her co-worker. No weapons are involved. The caller is outside supervising the other residents. The male has a history of biting and violence. During the altercation, the victim sustained a small laceration on the back of his head and was transported by EMS to the Bedford Medical Center for treatment.

The female stated sometime between 1800 hours on 10/9/21 and 0700 hours today, unknown person(s) rummaged through her unlocked vehicle and took two of her work badges along with a Western Union money order made out for $994. There are no suspects at this time.

The caller is taking the female to court in reference to a criminal damage incident that happened on 10/1/21. The female’s husband just got out of prison and the caller is concerned the two will become a “Bonnie and Clyde” pair in reference to the ongoing issues.

Officers spoke with the complainant who states that his sister, who has a key to his residence, removed from his apartment without his permission two pairs of Jordan shoes valued at $120 each and $70 worth of new underwear. The complainant did not see his sister take the items, and advised that his brother also has access to the apartment. The complainant believes it was his sister due to when he called her and asked her where the property was, she replied, “Why does it matter? Where’s the money you stole from Mom’s cash app.” Officers left a voicemail to the sister requesting the return of the items. The complainant will advise officers at a later time if items were returned. An officer made contact with the sister who stated that she was moving her mother’s things out of the apartment and never touched anything that belonged to her brother. The sister believes that the person who took the items is a male that her brother was dating, who had also stolen $2000 out of her mother’s account using a cash app. No further action will be taken.

Two males in front of the building are possibly getting ready to fight. The younger male has a gun. The caller is not able to see them right now because of cars blocking his view. The caller is a clerk. The caller stated that the younger male claimed that he was going to his car to get his gun. The younger male has left in a white vehicle, but the older male is still there. The argument was over a space in the lottery checkout line. The younger male did make threats toward the older male and inferred that he was going to get something from his car (a gun). The older male just wanted the information on file and did not wish to pursue the matter any further.

Squad personnel advised that while en route to a call on Broadway, they were traveling southbound on Center Road near Dawson Court, and something unknown struck the drivers side door window causing it to shatter. They advised that they are not sure if a shot was fired or not. An officer checked the interior of the squad and did not see any objects. Squad members will check the interior of the vehicle for a possible projectile. Photographs were taken. An officer also checked the area and could not locate any projectiles.

A female is in the lobby to report that she is receiving multiple calls, texts and notes left on her vehicle from someone with whom she was involved in an accident within her complex. They are upset their insurance will not cover all of their costs. The female said her insurance will not cover all of the cost for repairs on the other vehicle and the owner wants monetary compensation. Later in the day, an officer spoke with the suspect over the phone. He told the officer a male involved with the other party was calling him and harassing him. He admitted to putting the note on the female’s car but said he did it because he wants his vehicle fixed, or he will go to court. The male was advised to stop calling the other party and settle it through court if he wishes.

Officers spoke to the female caller who explained she was involved in a minor altercation with her ex-boyfriend when she was attempting to leave. The caller stated the male scratched her vehicle, and she had a scratch on her thumb from the altercation. The caller advised that during the altercation her phone was also taken by the male. Officers were able to speak to the male and obtain the phone. The female caller was satisfied with getting her phone back and did not wish to pursue any criminal charges.

The complainant came on station to report that $900.83 of her paycheck was sent to a different, unknown account. The check cashing service needed her to make a police report. The complainant was advised to work with the check cashing service to get more documentation showing the fraud. The complainant only had her cell phone and her bank account opened on it. She will return if the issue is not resolved by the check cashing company and there is some evidence of the fraudulent withdrawal.

Officers spoke to the caller who stated that he paid a male from another state a total of $5,000 over the span of 21 days for four wheels for his vehicle. The caller states after he finished paying the male for the wheels, the male started to ignore him and even blocked the caller’s number. The caller stated he has had to call the male from a different number, but that he has been blocked on that number as well. The caller’s last communication with the male was 10/11/21 before he was blocked again. The caller wants a report on file so he can take the report to his bank for fraudulent activities. Officers attempted to contact the male from the phone number provided from the caller. However, this seems to not be a real number. The male may have given the caller fake information.

A female came to the police lobby to report her 5-year-old daughter missing. The juvenile was at Central Elementary School earlier today. The school called and asked for her father to pick her up. The mother said no. However, the juvenile was not at the school when the mother arrived to pick her up. An officer contacted the listed male, and he advised that the school allowed him to take the child. He was advised that the child needs to be at school tomorrow at 0840 hours.

The complainant came on station to get some advice on getting joint custody of his 5-year-old daughter. He also wanted to report that he believes his daughter is not being taken care of properly. He had his daughter overnight for a visit and she told him some things that he is concerned about. He does not feel she is in immediate danger, but wanted to report some of the things that he learned on his visit with her. He lives in Atlanta but comes here monthly. He was advised to file for joint custody of his daughter through the court.

University Hospitals police are out with a female who flagged them down advising she was attacked by another female at her home. The female advises her attacker is still at the location on Northfield Road. The complainant, who was highly intoxicated, stated she was attacked by a friend that has been living with her. The complainant alleges her friend threw a chair at her, attacked her and threatened to kill her. She did not have any apparent injuries. The complainant was advised to come to the police station to complete a statement after she is treated at the hospital. Officers responded to the residence and spoke with another female who was highly intoxicated. The female was not cooperative with officers. She stated there was no altercation between the two, and stated the complainant was drunk and “going through things.”  The female complainant was advised of her options to remove the other female from her residence.

The caller needs a report for someone coming into his apartment stealing property while he was away.  It occurred sometime after he left last Thursday. He thinks it was his child’s mother. He advised that sometime between 10/07/21 and 10/14/21 his apartment was entered and items were stolen out of it. The listed male suspected that the person had a key due to the front door being unlocked upon his return home. He advised that his daughter is the only person with a key, and he believes her mother may be the suspect. The complainant did state that his neighbor at another apartment believes she saw the suspect walk past her home. She was provided a statement to complete.

The owner does not live there, and no one should be at the home while he is obtaining means to sell the home. On 9/12/2021, his neighbor’s camera caught multiple vehicles parked in his driveway and lawn. The owner was advised to place security cameras up and to call the police when unwanted persons show up on his property.

They were sent on their way.

A possible Charger was stolen from this location. The vehicle was seen parked in the lot earlier, and now there is broken glass and skid marks on the sidewalk. Attempts to contact a keyholder had negative results. A nearby video surveillance camera showed a suspicious vehicle parked in the Auto Zone lot, and a subject is seen walking over to the Charger for a minute or so and then returning to his vehicle and driving away. A little while later, a figure is seen on the passenger side of the Charger, and soon after the Charger is being driven north on Broadway. No further direction of travel is known at this time.

A female said she has been having ongoing issues with her child’s father for years. Recently, the male showed up at a daycare center, attempting to pick up their child. The female said the male does not have permission to pick up the child. An officer spoke with the male via telephone. He said he did not cause a disturbance at the daycare and that he does not live in the state of Ohio. He was advised of trespassing per the owner of the daycare.

The male then ran back west towards First Street. The video provided does not give a good picture of the male who took the skeleton, but he appears to be a young male with long hair, who possibly lives around the area.

An officer did observe threatening texts stating the male would “kill her” and indirect threats of harm. The female stated she wanted to obtain a protection order. An officer provided the female contact information to Cuyahoga County to speak to the Domestic Relations Court to set up an appointment toward obtaining a protection order. The female was also advised to call the police department if he shows up to her residence, or if she wishes to return to file charges for harassment/menacing.

The caller is reporting someone stole political signs off the business’ property. The male owner of the business said he did observe the theft on his business’ surveillance footage, but that it has since been deleted due to the system’s memory. The male described the unknown person who stole the signs as a male wearing a green vest and operating a white Ford pickup truck. No further descriptive information was provided regarding the theft at this time.

The caller said her boyfriend will need a squad after she shoots him, and that she just found her gun.  An officer spoke with the male involved at the residence. He advised they had a verbal altercation only, and that they did not own any weapons. The female left prior to officers arrival.

When officers arrived, the female was calm but would not speak with officers. Her guardian was advised to contact the police department if there are any more issues.

Officers responded to the residence for a report of family trouble. The female complainant advised that her child’s father was dropping their juvenile daughter off at the listed residence when a verbal altercation ensued. The female stated that she does have full custody of their daughter. The female then advised that the male drove toward them in close proximity, and the male left prior to officers’ arrival. The female also stated that the male is sending her unwelcomed text messages and showed the officers the messages. The texts did not directly threaten the female and the female was engaging in a conversation back with the male. The female stated she wanted the male trespassed from the residence and advised of telecommunication harassment. An officer made contact with the male via telephone. The male advised while dropping his daughter off at the listed residence, the female complainant began to engage in an altercation with him. While doing so, the male advised the female then began to strike his vehicle which is why he drove off quickly from the residence. At this time, the officer advised the male he was trespassed from the residence and of telecommunication harassment. The male also was advised on how to obtain a civil protection order through the court.

Two witnesses on scene had no further information. The squad was refused.

Officers made contact with the aunt who advised she was aware of an incident that previously occurred, and that she just wished to check on the juvenile’s welfare. Also present on the scene was the aunt’s female friend who stayed in the vehicle parked on the roadway and was not involved. The female complainant advised that she just wanted the female to leave. The aunt was advised and voluntarily agreed to leave for the evening.
