There is a report of loud yelling from the residence and a juvenile advises that it may be a domestic violence in progress. The male is hiding in the house. A female has visible injuries on her face. There are three additional juveniles in the residence. Officers are attempting to make contact. All of the children are out of the house, and an officer is transporting five parties to the station. The female is going to be transported to the ER, and someone is needed for the children. Another female is en route to pick up the children.

A male is reporting issues with his wife. They are having an argument over finances. The male advised his wife hit him. He is now outside. Officers responded to the above address and spoke with the pair. The male said he and his wife have been having issues regarding credit card debt and her not working. He said his wife grabbed his shirt collar, and he grabbed her wrist to restrain her, causing marks. Officers spoke with the female who said they have been arguing over financial issues, but said he grabbed her wrist so she grabbed his shirt. Both parties did not want to pursue any criminal charges, and officers were unable to determine who started the altercation.

The son gathered belongings and left the residence.

A male complainant in the lobby stated he is being harassed by his ex-girlfriend via phone calls and text messages. The complainant stated he tried blocking her, but she finds other numbers from which to call him. He was advised to ignore the phone calls and also given options on how to obtain a civil protection order. The complainant wanted officers to be aware the female stated she was going to make false claims of violence in order to get him arrested.

The caller wants to report that a male assaulted her. The female is alone in her apartment. The complainant said the male and his brother have been getting in her face and bothering her. She said she has no injuries and just wanted officers to talk with the male and tell him to leave her alone. Officers spoke with the male through his door and explained the complainant’s concerns, and advised him to leave her alone.

The caller states someone is trying to get into her house. They are knocking on her door and banging on windows. She doesn’t know who they are and didn’t see what they looked like. The caller is locked in the bathroom with her 1-year-old child. Upon arrival, officers observed two men cleaning the gutters of the home. The owner of the house, and mother of the caller, sent the workers to work on the home. The workers said they knocked on the door to notify those in the residence they were going to be working on the home, but no one answered.

The complainant stated that her boyfriend’s girlfriend called and talked to her supervisor while she was at work today. The female made comments that caused the complainant to feel that she may be disciplined at work if the issue continues according to the supervisor. The complainant also stated that the female posts harassing comments on social media via fake accounts. She also believes that the female drives by her house at night while playing loud music. The complainant was given advice regarding a civil protection order. She was advised to call the police department if the female showed up at her residence.

They both have lawyers involved. She claims her TV is missing from the house. She believes the family took it, but has no further information. She just wants to be left alone while she moves out the rest of her belongings. The caller has a warrant for fraud and was returned to the Bedford City Jail for booking.

The female was advised to block the numbers and to follow up with her phone carrier about blocking any other applications through which she is being contacted.

Vehicle 1 was stopped in traffic heading north on Broadway Avenue at Columbus Road. The driver of Vehicle 2 was northbound directly behind Vehicle 1. The driver of Vehicle 2 failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead and collided with Vehicle 1. Both drivers exited their vehicles and when the driver of Vehicle 1 returned to his vehicle to call police, the driver of Vehicle 2 drove away northbound on Broadway Avenue. The next day, an officer located a vehicle matching the description of the hit skip vehicle in question on Grand Boulevard. There was damage to the right front bumper area. Officers spoke with a male at the home. He stated the vehicle belonged to a friend of his who was not at the home. He stated his friend dropped the vehicle off Sunday afternoon and borrowed his vehicle. The male was able to get his friend on the phone and advised him to come to the station to clear up this matter. The friend did respond to the station and was issued a citation for ACDA and DUS.

The caller said she moved into the above address earlier this year and believes someone walked on top of her roof and stole items from inside her apartment. The caller believes the individual(s) is picking her locks but has not called maintenance to get new locks. The caller said she noticed her items were missing about one or two months ago and was calling the police now because it’s almost the end of the year. The caller wanted a report made in case this happens again, so that officers would be aware.

A female is in the Bedford Medical Center ER with a gun-shot wound. The hospital police advise the female was shot in the shoulder by someone who was visiting her house. A friend dropped her at the ER, and the shooter is not at the ER or in the parking lot.  A male was contacted, and he said he was the suspect, and that it was an accident. He said he meant to shoot the couch, and he hit her in the shoulder. He said he is going to turn himself in at the station. He said he was in an argument with the female. She had called 911 and that set the male off. The caller said he was intoxicated. The male said he got rid of the firearm on Dunham Road. He said he is a felon, and he panicked. The male is going to go to the area where he tossed the firearm and pull over with his hazard lights on. The male was detained

A physical altercation occurred between a male and female (complainant) resident. There was an argument over the male taking a refreshment at a community function. The female advised she told the male he could not have the pop, which resulted in him hitting her in the forehead with his finger. The female did not have a visible mark where she stated she was struck. A nurse and another resident gave a different version of the events. Both stated there was an argument over a refreshment, but the female went after the male with a vase from the table. Both stated they observed the female hit the male as he walked away. Both also stated the male did turn and strike or shove the female to get her to stop. The male left prior to the arrival of officers. The female did wish to pursue charges but was advised the male would have to be spoken to first. Later, the complainant was advised that all other parties stated she started the incident ,and the male only touched her to get her away. The complainant will have a list of other witnesses for a follow up.

The caller told police she had an angel statue placed next to her mother’s grave and now it is missing. She last saw the statue on December 5 and realized it was missing today. The value of the statue is approximately $30. The complainant has already notified an employee of the cemetery. There’s nothing further at this time.

The complainant called to report damage done to his truck window. He heard noises by his truck that was parked in the driveway. He went outside to investigate. He got a glimpse of the neighbor’s son running from the area. He spoke with the son’s mother. She is going to take care of damages to the truck. Her son has a history of mental illness. She is trying to get her son some help.

The caller was hit-skipped on W. Grace Street near the Walgreens. He gave a description of the car and a license plate number. Officers located the male suspect at his residence who admitted to driving his vehicle. The male stated he was coming home from a Christmas party and struck the other vehicle trying to go around another. When officers located the male suspect, he was lying on the ground in his garage in extreme back pain. EMS arrived and treated the male on scene in his garage. Due to the male’s injuries, he was not taken back for OVI. The male stated he thought he observed the other male continue on so he did the same. The male was cited for failure to maintain right side of roadway and hit skip.

The complainant stated that his female neighbor continually comes to his apartment but refuses to leave after drinking too much and starts trouble because of her drinking. He stated that last night she came over drunk and he had to physically escort her out of his apartment when she became irate. He stated that he is worried that the female will try to falsely accuse him of being violent toward her. He was instructed to advise her not to return to his property and if she came back causing an issue, to call the police immediately. He was also given information on civil protection orders.

An officer spoke with a female in the lobby for a report of family trouble. The female stated around 1230 hours today, while she was cleaning her elderly mother’s house, her mother, who has mild dementia, pulled a knife on her over a verbal argument. The female was able to push her mother back against a wall and throw the knife outside. The female was unsure if her mother took her medications today, as her behavior was more aggressive and unusual. An officer contacted the mother who was not making much sense concerning the incident and apologized for the way she acted. The mother stated she will probably forget what happened soon and will mind her business if her daughter returns to clean for her in the future.

Officers responded to Timko’s Tavern and spoke to the male caller. The male advised he was involved in an argument in the parking lot of Mixer’s Gentlemen’s Club in Northfield. He was tossed out of a vehicle, and he was complaining of pain in his hands, and wanted an ambulance to check him out. The male who threw him out of the car had a firearm. The injured male could not provide any more information due to being intoxicated. The male was transported to the Bedford Medical Center by squad.

Officers advised him to not return to the address again, and he was given a ride to the station to wait for a ride. The complainant was given information on how to obtain a protection order.

The warrant for the party was confirmed, but due to COVID restrictions in the jail, they did not take the party at that time on that charge. The male was advised of the business hours and also of all of his warrants. The male is going to walk to his residence where he is staying tonight. He declined any medical attention and refused to be seen by the squad.

He is going to calculate all that was taken tomorrow and contact the police department for a report at that time.

The complainant was advised to take the matter to small claims court.

Upon arrival, officers observed both parties who appeared to have been in a verbal argument. The female appeared upset but said it was a verbal argument only. The male was EWW with the Cleveland Heights Police and was transported without incident. The female was given options.

A female is in the police department lobby to report harassment against a postal worker over having to send a package at the last minute. The worker had a hostile attitude and used racial slurs. The complainant said she felt the way she was treated by the postal worker at the post office was criminal. She was advised it was not criminal but poor customer service and to file a complaint with the supervisor.

The female in the lobby requested to speak to an officer regarding threats. The complainant stated she was contacted via Snapchat to be part of a “Sugar Baby” program. The unknown person sent the complainant a check for $3,500. The complainant was told to deposit the check and return a portion of the funds to the unknown person. The complainant would then receive money in return. The female was reluctant to send the money, and the unknown person began making threats they would come to her house. The complainant then sent $2,000 to the unknown person via Cash App. The complainant spoke with her bank to dispute the check.

The caller is reporting that a male assaulted a female. He kicked her down the steps and punched her in the face repeatedly. The female is in a car in the driveway. When talking to the male half, he stated that the female does not live there and is refusing to leave. He states that she hit him in the face as well and kicked his door. Officers found that the female was extremely uncooperative. The male said both parties were in a scuffle and he attempted to throw her down the stairs. Officers did not observe any injuries on the female, only a ripped shirt. The male did have an injury to his forehead. However, he did not want to pursue criminal charges or to be looked at by paramedics. The male wanted the female to be trespassed from his home. The female was advised of trespassing and left the area in her vehicle.

Officers made contact with the complainant who was highly intoxicated and did not have any signs of injury. The complainant advised she did not need police assistance, and that her husband did not strike her. She also advised she is upset due to the male not having money to give her. Officers spoke to the male who advised the female does not like him, and that no altercation occurred. At the time, all parties checked OK and were advised to keep the peace.

On the scene, officers spoke to the caller who advised a female shattered a side window on his house. Officers observed a window on the west side of the home broken. The caller stated a female in a red hooded sweatshirt fled on foot eastbound and got into a black sedan fleeing towards Northfield Road. While officers were on the scene, the caller received a phone call from a friend stating he followed the suspect’s vehicle into Garfield Heights. The friend did not obtain a license plate, but located a possible address for the suspect, advising it was the caller’s ex-girlfriend. Officers responded to the address of the ex-girlfriend and spoke to her. She explained she was home all day with her infant child and denied causing the broken window. Officers advised the caller to fill out a witness statement along with his friend for further police action.

Officers advised the female that if she returns home and the door is kicked in, to contact the police.

An officer responded to the listed address and spoke with a male regarding soliciting. The person reporting advised a male from AT&T was at his residence. The male was described by the person reporting as wearing black clothing and having an AT&T badge displayed. The officer checked the area and surrounding side streets but was unable to locate the male.

A male just came to the caller’s door yelling and saying he had a gun. The caller did not see a gun but says someone else did. Per the neighbor, there were no threats made. The male was yelling about the garbage in the complex. The male’s father is now saying the male might have an AK-47. Someone else was saying they heard the male rack a weapon inside the apartment. The male is in custody. There was an accidental discharge of a firearm, but everyone is OK. A squad is needed at the jail for the 35-year-old male for a mental evaluation.

An officer spoke with the male caller who said his wife has physically abused him many times in the past year. His family confronted him about the situation and told him to go to the police. The officer gave the male several options on how he can handle any similar situations in the future. The complainant also wanted to document photographs he has taken from prior incidents. He will be sending them via email.

Officers responded to the residence for a report of a breaking and entering in progress. The person reporting advised the house is believed to be vacant and that he observed people inside the home using flashlights. Officers checked the residence and located an open back door to the residence. Officers made numerous announcements into the home and cleared the interior. No person was located inside the home and the residence appeared to be vacant. While officers were on scene, the resident arrived on scene and advised she was inside the home shortly before officers’ arrival using flashlights due to the home being renovated. The residence checked OK, and no further police action was required.

The complainant states that approximately 18 Suboxone strips are missing from his bedroom. The complainant last saw the strips sometime on the morning of 1/13/22. The complainant let his brother in the residence during the day, and the brother most probably let other persons inside the residence. It is unknown who could have taken the strips. The caller needed it documented for the replacement of the prescription.

The complainant wrote a check to Dominion on 12/11/21 in the amount of $118.70 and mailed the check from either the Bedford or the Garfield Heights Post Office. A credit union informed him that his bank account is overdrawn and told him that the check was fraudulently altered to another name in the amount $3200.90. The complainant notified the postal service about the stolen check. The complainant needed a police report filed so that his bank could return the funds to his account.

The female was advised to have her husband call dispatch so they could obtain the proper information for a police response. Lacking further information, officers will check the daycares in the area. A female wearing a black hoodie and black shoes is outside panhandling. The caller advised that it is the same female from last week. Officers checked the location, but were unable to locate the female.

The caller states she saw someone smashing the security light that was going off.  The caller states a truck pulled up to the trash cans, and a male took a white bag and set it near the pillar. The male took the white bag and went to his truck and then started smashing the burglar alarm light that was going off. He then left in the truck. The male did not make entry into the business, but did smash the window. Officers are with the male.

A male in a gray Adidas sweatshirt and black pants was creeping around people’s driveways and porches. He is walking around the Family Dollar parking lot right now. He is at Sunoco now and approaching people for money. An officer is out with the male. He was advised of his warrants and of trespassing.

A male is walking down the middle of the street with a cart. He is going up the street towards the school. He is wearing all dark clothes. Officers responded to the area for a report of suspicion. The person reporting advised there was a male walking in the middle of the roadway pushing a cart. Officers made contact with the male. The male advised he was pushing a cart full of trash that he was allowed to take per the pastor of the church. The male appeared to check OK and was advised of the complaint.

Two males driving a white truck have been knocking on doors. It is unknown what they want. The caller does not know who they are. The caller advised that they are pounding on her door. She told them to leave. She heard some scuffling and she was not sure if they were still outside or not. The caller advised when they first knocked on the door, the males said, “Is anyone home?” The caller told them that she was there, and then they moved along to another apartment. She is not sure if they are looking for apartments where no one is home or what they are doing. Officers checked the apartments but were unable to locate the males.

The complainant advised that he was unaware that someone went through his vehicle until he observed his damaged passenger side door. A family member inside the house states that around 0330 hours on 01/14/2022, she heard a car door shut but is unsure where it could have come from.

An older model Dodge looped around the entire building and then left. Officers stopped the male, and he stated that he had a vehicle at the dealership and that he was checking on it. He was advised of business hours and of trespassing.
