An elderly male in the police lobby states that 15-20 minutes ago someone took his I.D. card at U.S. Bank. An officer spoke to the bank manager who advised that the complainant did come to the bank this morning and when he came inside he sat down near the deposit desk. He stated that he did see the complainant’s I.D., but he did not take it from him and verified that he is a current account holder. He stated that the complainant made a comment about the clerks being black and that if he had known that they all were going to be black, he would go somewhere else. The bank manager stated that the complainant did not have a bank card with him, and that he was looking to get a bank card. The officer checked the area where the complainant was sitting and also checked the cushions of the chair for the card but was unable to locate it. The officer returned and spoke to the complainant. The officer advised the complainant of the conversations he had with the branch manager, and told him that if he had any further concerns about his I.D. and bank card that he should call a district manager about the issue. The complainant was also advised to place a stop on his account until he could resolve the issue with the bank. The next day, the complainant came on station asking how he could get his money from the bank to pay his rent after yesterday’s incident. The officer advised the complainant that he would contact the bank. The officer called the bank manager and asked how the complainant could access his account without his I.D. which was lost yesterday. The manager advised that after the incident where the complainant used a racial slur, he closed the male’s account and stated that the complainant is no longer welcomed back at the branch.  The manager stated that he would mail the complainant’s funds to him by way of a cashier’s check. More than a week later, the complainant was in the station, and he told records that he had not received his money from the bank, yet. The officer spoke with the branch manager who alleged that he forwarded the check to their mailing department, but said unfortunately their mailing department is far behind on mailing items out. When asked if there is a way to check the status of when the check may be mailed, the manager stated that there is not.

Officers spoke with the complainant who stated that she is the guardian of a female who has special needs. The complainant states the female has been receiving video chats from a male who also has special needs that has been asked not to contact her due to a previous incident. Officers spoke with the male and his guardian who states that the male has the female blocked on his phone and can’t contact her directly. The male states that he was in a video group chat with a friend, when the friend invited others including the female into the chat. The male was advised to avoid any contact with the female.

A female is in the police lobby advising she needs a report for sexual harassment by a salesman. The complainant reported that she and her friend went together to hand in paperwork at the location above. Both parties met with the finance manager and salesman in an office room. While in the office room, the salesman sat down and began opening and closing his legs and then said to the complainant, “What do you want?” The complainant mentioned she wanted a 2021 vehicle. The salesman replied, “If you give me $800 and some p—-.” The complainant stated she has reported the male to supervisors at Ganley. The last names of both employees are unknown. The detective later called the complainant and advised the matter is civil. The complainant was given several other agencies to call and report the incident.

A caller would like to speak to an officer about damage done to the tire on his vehicle while he was driving on Union Street. The driver stated that while he was traveling on Union Street struck a pothole in the roadway causing damage to the front driver side tire and rim. The male stated he wanted the incident documented for insurance purposes. The male also had already photographed the visible damage and the pothole in the roadway. The officer advised the male on how to obtain a copy of the report.

An officer spoke with the complainant in the lobby. She advised that around 2300 hours a female got into an altercation with her while at Lounge 228. She stated that she did not have any injuries, and only wanted it documented due to it becoming an ongoing issue while at the business.

A male is in the store threatening to steal beer if the clerk does not sell it to him. The male is now getting into a black sedan with some wine. When the male originally came into the store, he was upset that the clerk would not sell him alcohol due to being past selling hours. The male lingered around the store and little while then took the wine and left going south on Broadway Avenue. Officers reviewed video footage and were unable to I.D. the male or come up with a plate for the vehicle. The wine was $7.55.

A caller saw four young males break into a house with guns. A female then heard a baby screaming. Officers spoke to a male resident who advised his child’s mother lied to dispatch about the men with guns to try and get him killed by officers. This statement was backed up by text messages matching the number given to dispatch. In the messages, the female threatens to call the police and post his personal information on Instagram. She called while officers were on the scene and admitted to calling the cops on him. The male wishes to pursue charges but could not come in at the time of the call.

An officer spoke with a female in the lobby for a report of harassment. The female stated she believes sometime between 1630 hours on 3-3-2021 and 0730 hours this morning, her grandson’s father placed glass shards from a whisky bottle under her tires while her vehicle was parked in the carport. The female did not physically see the male act in such a way but mentioned he had to have been the individual responsible because there was no glass located near any other vehicles in the area. The female now has surveillance cameras which capture her carport and patio area in case any further incidents occur. No damage was done to the female’s vehicle as the Bedford Green Apartments maintenance removed the glass shards before the female moved her vehicle.

The caller advised that her checkbook and $1500 are missing. She said there was a cable worker there today. She did not see the worker take her items. She was advised to contact the company about her complaint with the install problem. She has possible mental health issues.

The complainant called to report that her ex-boyfriend has been calling/texting her and making threatening comments to her. The complainant advised that today he called her, and she hung up on him. Per the complainant, he started sending text messages to her and calling her names because she won’t talk with him. It appears that the male still has issues with the relationship. The female advised that she did not want the male to know where she lives for fear that he would start to stalk her.  Later, the complainant called back stating that her Ring door camera alerted her to someone in the area of her apartment. The complainant stated that the subject was a male with the same build and height as her ex-boyfriend, but she could not see his face. The complainant stated that she feels that the male she observed on the camera could be her ex-boyfriend, and that he has been known to carry a firearm. She was advised to contact her mother and ask her advice and then call back if she wanted a phone call made now, or after she seeks a protection order. The officer advised he would check the apartment complex.

There were no weapons involved, but the male is intoxicated. Officers arrived and it was reportedly a verbal argument between the husband and wife. The wife left for the night to stay with her aunt.

A caller reports a white Ford Taurus was broken into. She is in the lot next to Lounge 228. A female caller advised she also had her windows smashed out in her Jeep, but  nothing was missing. The caller drove home but will go to the station in the afternoon, tomorrow. Officers are going to attempt to locate the owner of the other damaged vehicle found in the lot.

A third-party caller is reporting that a male and female are fighting. The Grandmother is now outside saying she received a call that the female was dead inside. She cannot confirm whether it’s Building A, B, or C. While officers were talking to the grandmother, the granddaughter came home. Officers were able to talk to the granddaughter who stated she was OK. She said she was in an argument earlier in the morning with her child’s father. She stated he did not want to leave after staying the night, but she would not provide more information.

A female stated her child’s father, who she has not seen in about five years, asked her on social media for her phone number. She did not give it to him. Eventually, the male got her phone number and began asking her to see his son. The female stated the child, who is 14-years-old, said he does not know his father, nor does he want to see him. The female relayed this to the male, and he said one day she will not see her son anymore. Due to the male’s criminal background, the female is unsure of what the male would do to see his son. The female wanted officers to be aware of this incident. She was advised on how to obtain a civil protection order and to contact police if the situation escalates.

Officers located a juvenile at the intersection of Lincoln Boulevard and Harriman Avenue. They returned the juvenile back home to her mother, who advised that earlier she asked her daughter for her cell phone and the daughter wouldn’t give it to her. The two began to wrestle for the phone when the daughter struck her mother in the face. The mother did not want police involved any further but just wanted her daughter returned home.

A woman in the Bedford Medical Center emergency room is reporting the people that she lives with assaulted her. She was just brought in because she felt like she was having a heart attack. The nurse said she is intoxicated but does have bruises. Officers spoke to the highly intoxicated complainant. She was unable to give any details other than another resident did it. An old bruise on her right elbow was photographed which she claimed happened earlier today. The female alleged that her roommate used his fist and struck the top of her head and other areas of her body for no apparent reason. She then stated she does not remember much due to drinking a plethora of alcohol but remembered being assaulted. The female stated she will be moving out once discharged from the hospital, as she does not feel comfortable living with her current roommates.

The female stated her ex-husband has been pretending to be a female by the name of “Marquetta” and has been texting her several times accusing her of random acts. The female stated the male is currently in a prison and his parole officer advised her to make a report with the police to inquire about getting her TPO reinstated, as it has expired. She is currently in touch with a prosecutor for assistance.

An officer spoke to the complainant who advised that he received a letter in the mail at his residence about an unemployment claim filed against him. The complainant stated that he did not know the female that filed the claim. An officer was able to locate the female who filed the claim, but could not locate a phone number. Information was forwarded to the detective bureau.

The child’s father is not taking it well and stated over the phone to the female, “I will get someone to cut you.” As of now, the male does not know where the female resides, and she wanted to know options of keeping him from her. She was advised of a civil protection order and was to call police if the situation escalates. The female was also advised of her warrant with the Parma Police Department.

A male threatened the caller inside the Family Dollar over a dispute with the cashier. The caller is unable to wait for the police, but wants police to check the area. Another female who was threatening the caller is still in the parking lot in a Chevy. The caller wanted to note that this car had no car seats and had children in the vehicle. The caller said that after she left, the female followed her and threw items at her car. An officer checked the surrounding area, but was unable to locate the parties causing a ruckus.

Officers spoke to the complainant who stated on 2-9-21 her aunt passed away. The complainant then stated sometime between 2-9-21 and 2-20-21 three rings were stolen off the fingers of her dead relative by persons unknown. The complainant states that the only two companies to deal with her aunt’s body were hospice and a funeral service. The complainant has received an email for inventory of the body from hospice stating there were three rings on the female. The complainant then received an email from the funeral home that there were no rings on the female. The complainant just wants a police report on file so she can take it to small claims court.

She went outside and one of the females grabbed the complainant by the hair and dragged her to the ground and kicked her in the head. There is no information on the female who assaulted the complainant. The victim was given statement forms to complete and will try and figure out the identity of the female to press charges.  Photographs of her injuries were taken. She was given advice on how to obtain a TPO as well.

Officers responded to a report of an unknown male running in the hallways asking for help. Upon arrival, officers located the male on the first floor of the building. The male advised officers that he was visiting his uncle. He said he was off his medication and had a drink earlier. A nearby female resident advised officers that the male knocked on her door. He entered asking for help and fell into her closet door damaging the hinge. The male was transported by a squad to the Bedford Medical Center.

The female, who was the unwanted guest, was found to be EWW with the Bedford department and was returned to the Bedford Jail.

Officers spoke to the caller who stated someone was knocking on his door stating, “Open the door so I can f—— execute you.” The caller stated this went on for about 10 minutes before he told the unknown male that he was calling the police. The caller did not look out the window to get a description of the male in fear that he would be harmed. The caller also did not hear or see a vehicle that the male could have left in. The caller states that he does not have any problems with anyone in the area and does not know who the male could have been. The caller also stated that the male sounded intoxicated and could have possibly had the wrong apartment. Officers checked the immediate area but could not find any suspicious persons walking around.

There is a male in the store using the restroom. He has  been in there for at least 20 minutes. The male was refusing to identify himself to officers after giving false information. Hewas detained due to not identifying himself and giving false name information. He gave officers consent to search his truck to obtain his identification. The male was identified and advised of trespass and sent on his way.

The caller’s daughters were walking home, and they noticed a male standing in the bushes near the house gawking at the girls. The male was about 6-feet tall with skinny legs and a heavy-set middle. The girls are home now, and the male ran off when the caller went outside. Officers checked the area and did not locate anyone matching the description.

Officers assisted the female with pushing her vehicle into the driveway of a residence due to the mechanical issues. The female signed the waiver and the vehicle is no longer a hazard.

The caller stated her ex-boyfriend was arguing with her on the phone and said he was on his way over to the house. She advised that he is mad that the caller does not want to be with him anymore. The caller advised she had a physical altercation with the male in 2018, and she is worried he might do something when he arrives, even though he never made statements of threats. She was advised to call if he shows up to her house.

A female is being threatened by her ex son-in-law. He told the caller that he is coming over and that she and her grandson are going to be sorry. The caller advised the male has a history of mental illness. It is unknown if he has any weapons. Officers responded but there was no answer at the door. Dispatch was asked to call the complainant back. An officer contacted the son-in-law and advised him of the complaint. The male advised that he just received the court paperwork and was not aware that he could not contact his son. The officer advised him that he should have been given that information at the time of the hearing, but to discontinue any further communications with the family. The son-in-law advised that he would comply. Three minutes after the end of the call, the son-in-law called back at the station and asked about what he was supposed to do about his child support payments since he cannot have contact with his child. The officer advised him that he would need to seek that information from the court.

The complainant came into the lobby because the father of her child is refusing to return the child to her. An officer spoke with the male who advised he is refusing to return the child because there is an open investigation concerning the mother’s boyfriend abusing the child. The father was advised he needs court-ordered paperwork to keep the child away from mom. He stated he would start that process tomorrow and if it doesn’t work, he will return the child on Friday. The mother was OK with this outcome.

The business owner is reporting that a tow truck hit a parked vehicle in the lot leaving significant damage. An employee believes that the driver knows he hit the vehicle. The driver of the tow truck left his business card and is no longer on scene. An officer was advised that a tow truck driver arrived with a Chevy Equinox and attempted to back the vehicle into a parking space at the front of the business. As the driver was backing up, he struck the vehicle parked next to open space with the wheel carrier on two different occasions. The driver then pulled the vehicle to the street-side of the lot and left the vehicle there. The driver pulled out heading southbound on Northfield Road and entered the southern driveway and stopped in front of the business. The driver exited the vehicle and left the company’s business card and left without saying anything. The complainant advised that he had the incident on the security video. The tow company was called and advised him of the incident. They were advised that the driver needed to respond to the station with the vehicle and insurance information.

An officer spoke to the complainant who stated that his daughter’s mother was posting threatening Facebook messages about him. He did show a message in which she wrote derogatory slang about him, and that she would come over to his house whenever she wanted. An officer spoke with the female involved who stated that she is supposed to have custody of her daughter, and she stated that she will write and do whatever she wants. She was advised this is a civil matter and to not have any contact with the complainant or she may be cited. She claimed she did not care if she receives a ticket.

A caller reporting his girlfriend kicked in his door and damaged it. She also hit the caller in the face. The female is no longer on scene. The male stated his now ex-girlfriend showed up to his apartment and started kicking his door. She was in an irate mood due to relationship issues. The male then opened his door to stop any further damage from happening and let the female inside. The male then stated the female punched him in the face, causing a little swelling and redness under his left eye. The male declined to pursue charges because he works with the female and did not want to make a big deal about this incident. The male’s door was slightly damaged and the dead bolt did not latch correctly.

The male caller stated a juvenile threw a football at a vehicle and it caused a dent on the hood. The juvenile admitted to throwing the football but was unsure if the dent was caused by the football. There were three rust spots on the hood indicating previous damage, but the male claimed the dent was not there. The vehicle owner then arrived on scene and stated he did not want to pursue the matter due to the previous damage.

A female reports a package containing clothing was delivered by UPS on 3/18/2021. The female went to gather her packages and noticed they were gone and believes they were stolen. There are no witnesses or video of the theft. The total amount of the theft is approximately $200.

The female was concerned because the male also shared explicit photos on the same site on his profile. The female was advised there is no violation due to the pictures being older than the starting date of the protection order. Since the protection order, the male has not posted any pictures of the children on any social media site.

A grey SUV pulled over on the Rockside Road bridge and a male had a female pinned to the fence and was beating her up. There was also an older female with them, who broke up the fight and got the female back in the car and left without the male. An officer was unable to locate the male involved or any evidence that it happened in Bedford.

The caller advised that someone is posting her phone number on escort websites and now she is receiving a lot of phone calls and texts. It is unknown who is posting her number. She was able to have the website remove her phone number. The calls/texts began to become less frequent but she then found her number to be listed on another site. The female stated she does not know who would list her number, and that she is not having any issues with any persons at this time. The issue was documented for her information so she can proceed with the phone company towards a resolution.

The female was advised to refrain from engaging in any conversation with her neighbors to avoid any altercations.

The caller is in the police lobby crying hysterically. She is requesting an officer for a domestic violence report. Officers spoke to the caller who stated she was very upset over a verbal argument that she was in with her child’s father. The female stated to officers right away that, “I don’t know why I’m even here because I don’t want him to get in trouble or press charges.” The female states that he has hit her in the past and she is tired of it. Also, she stated, “I know I’m not a good person either in this relationship but I’m tired of it.” Furthermore, the female stated there was nothing physical tonight, but she was afraid of the argument they had. She states that she was not threatened at all in the argument, but the male snatched their son from her. Officers advised the female of the protection order process and also advised that domestics do not have to be physical for an arrest to be made. However, the female still refused to press charges. Lastly, the female did not want officers to contact the male tonight in fear that it would make everything worse. The female was reluctant to leave the house for the night and officers were finally able to persuade the female to stay with a friend tonight to keep the peace.

The caller is a manager of a restaurant and has three employees stealing money. They have been charging customers sales tax and then removing the sales tax and pocketing the money. They have stolen a total of $1,549.09 from the business. The employee’s worked together to commit the thefts and told customers if they paid their bill with cash, they did not have to pay taxes. The employee’s would then steal a portion of the cash and place the rest in the drawer. One employee stole $634.97 total, the other two stole totals of $502.07 and $412.05. When the manager confronted the employees about the theft, he said all three admitted to taking the money and told him they would return the money they had taken. The manager said if the employees do not return the money, he will pursue theft charges against them. He was given written statement forms to complete if he will be pressing charges.

A female is in the police lobby reporting that her daughter’s AirPods were lost / stolen yesterday. They are now tracking them to an address on Northfield Road. The AirPods which were pinging in the area of Family Dollar. An officer attempted to locate the AirPods with no luck.

The caller reports a 35-year-old male assaulted her and left the apartment. Officers spoke to the caller who stated her “friend” came in through the window of her house. She stated after talking they got into a verbal argument. She states that when the male was leaving he threw a shoe rack at her which hit her in the face causing her nose to bleed. The female refused EMS and did not want to press charges stating it would be too much work. She just wants officers to advise the male that he is not allowed back at her residence and inform her on how to get a protection order. Officers spoke to the male over the phone who stated that he never threw a shoe rack at the female. The male stated he was staying the night over at the female’s house and she awoke him by hitting and yelling at him. The male agreed not to go back over the female’s house.

The complainant called to report an accident that happened in the BMV parking lot. She said a large delivery truck was pulling through a parking space and her husband was pulling into a parking space next to the truck. The back left corner of the truck struck the left back corner of her husband’s vehicle. The truck driver and her husband talked about the accident. Then the truck driver walked away and got into his truck and drove off. He did not give the complainant his ID or phone number. The complainant got a partial plate number. There are no cameras on the outside of the BMV building. Later, the complainant called and said she got the plate and unit number on the truck. They just happened to pass it on Lee Road.

Someone stole a firearm out of a truck overnight. They have cameras out front. The male caller explained sometime overnight person(s) unknown gained access to his truck and stole his firearm. The male stated he thought he locked his truck last night. When going to his truck this morning, the caller observed the driver side door was wide open. The caller did not have any of the paperwork for the firearm. The male called back stating he found the firearm in his home but was still unsure why his truck was opened this morning. The male was advised to still obtain the firearm paperwork to have in his records.

The Bedford Medical Center Police state they have a gunshot victim in the Emergency Room. They advised the shooting occurred near the high school. An officer from Bedford went to the hospital. Other units were heading to the High Street/Taft Avenue area to search for casings and canvas the streets. An officer is with an additional witness. Another officer is responding to block the roadway.  Officers are performing a consent search. Now officers are transporting two juveniles to the station. A tow is being requested for the vehicle at the ER for processing.

This is a recent scam that threatens persons to send over money and texts their private information. The scam texts also have vulgar pictures attached showing persons decapitated. The complainant called to report that her 12-year-old grandson’s father was just throwing rocks at her apartment windows because his son is there and is supposed to be with him. The father has left the area while she was on the phone with dispatch. The father and mother are currently in divorce proceedings. An officer spoke with all parties by phone. The father said he stopped by to speak with his son and was just tossing some rocks up there to get his attention. He believes the mother is telling their son not to speak with him. The mother was not at the apartment when the incident happened. He was told not to return and to talk to the mother about getting his son to call him. This is the first time the son has stopped talking to him. He claims he has custody paperwork from court, but is letting him stay with his mother at his grandma’s apartment. Grandma was asked to speak with her daughter and ask her to let the son communicate with his father. She said there was no damage done to the windows with the rocks and does not want to press charges.

Officers responded to the business for a report of an unwanted guest. The employee of the business stated the male was not allowed to be at the business due to a previous incident involving an altercation and his dog. The male left prior to officers’ arrival but officers were able to locate the male walking back toward the business. The male stated he was not aware of being trespassed from the business and was just attempting to do laundry. The officer advised the male of trespassing and he retrieved his laundry without incident.

The male should be walking a small black dog.  The complainant stated she has had an ongoing issue with a male who she says walks his dog on her property often. The female stated earlier today she was taking her trash out and the male came up behind her and pushed her down. The female had minor injuries to her left hand and left elbow. The female does have a Ring video of the incident, but she does not want to file criminal charges if the suspect is identified at this time. The caller says his girlfriend texted him that she’s hiding in the first-floor bathroom because she hears someone in the house. The female heard something in the basement, and now she hears noises on the first floor. She said she hears what sounds like one person going through things. The caller was told to let officers in the house. The noise turned out to be a bird trapped inside the house. The bird eventually flew out the door.

A tenant that is getting evicted reportedly threatened employees in the leasing office that they would be “gone” if the eviction went through. An employee stated a male entered the leasing office and became upset with employees due to being evicted and charged for attorney/court fees. Later an officer contacted the male who stated he was irate with how management conducts their business. He then stated he has no business with them anymore and would not return to the leasing office, but instead handle the matter in court.

An officer responded to the residence for a report of damage to a vehicle. The officer made contact with the complainant who stated an unknown person put a foreign substance in the gas tank of his vehicle while it was parked at the residence. The complainant stated he was able to drive his vehicle to work, but when attempting to drive the vehicle back to his residence, it would not start. The complainant also stated his mechanic advised him of the foreign substance being in his gas tank. The complainant added that he has been having ongoing issues with two females who he believes may have caused the damage. The complainant advised he did want to pursue charges for criminal damaging but did not want officers to contact the females until footage was obtained. An officer spoke with the complainant who advised he is in the process of getting video footage from his landlord.

A caller located a young boy (about 2-years-old) that was crying outside of his door. The caller knocked on the door to which he believes the child belongs, but no one answered. Music can be heard from that apartment. He thinks the parents live in a nearby apartment but no one answered.  There are only three apartments on this floor, and he doesn’t think the child would be able to operate the elevator. The caller will meet officers on the top floor by the elevator. A nearby door had been propped open, but no one was responding to the caller. The child was located and returned to his aunt.

The male and business checked OK. No further police action required.

Both vehicles were locked and the male continued on. The brief video was obtained to disseminate to the patrol division.
