Solon Road (Wolf’s Cove Apartments)
Officers spoke with the complainant in the lobby who states on August 1, 2023 at approximately 2230 hours, she was assaulted by her boyfriend. The complainant states that after an argument that started outside of the city, the complainant and the boyfriend returned to his apartment at Wolf’s Cove Apartments. Arguing continued at the apartment as the complainant tried to gather belongings to leave. The boyfriend took her car keys and phone. When she tried to take her property back, the boyfriend grabbed her arms and (as stated by the complainant) the boyfriend “threw her into the wall and furniture.” He then body slammed the complainant multiple times onto the floor. She states she attempted to fight back but the boyfriend told her, “You will have to kill me in order to leave.” The complainant states she was eventually able to contact a friend of her boyfriend who restrained him and allowed her to leave. Officers did observe and photograph the victim’s injuries (bruises). The victim states she will email video of fresh injuries at a later time. At this time the complainant wishes to have the incident documented due to her boyfriend coming to her apartment in Lakewood. The complainant states she is afraid of her boyfriend and will be pursuing a protection order through the county.

An officer spoke with the complainant in the lobby. He stated that his employee has been using a business credit card to purchase several items that were not authorized by the business. The employee purchased over approximately $2,000 in personal property through Walmart and Amazon without the owner’s consent. The complainant advised that he plans on firing the employee once his business property has been returned by the employee. He stated that he had not decided to pursue charges at the time but may in the future. He was given a report number and advised to contact the police for any further assistance that is needed.

Solon Road (Mainline Trucking)
A male is in the lobby for fraud. On 08-01-23 the owner of Mainline Trucking made three payments to Cleveland Roofing for work and replacement of the business’ roof for a total of $76,352. It was not until the owner of Cleveland Roofing called the victim about an issue with the payment not being received, that the victim learned unknown person(s) had spoofed the Cleveland Roofing company. The suspect(s) were able to replicate the companies business header, emails, links and have electronic communications with the victim believing it was with Cleveland Roofing. The suspects provided one bank account where the money was to be transferred or deposited. An officer will subpoena the bank and wait for the request to be returned before further investigation.

The complainant believes that her son or one of his friends stole her handgun that was locked in the trunk of her BMW. The handgun is a Smith and Wesson. She has no paperwork because she stated it was all kept together. She will go to Fin, Feather and Fur in Middleburg Heights to get the serial number so the gun can be entered. When she returns with the necessary info, paperwork will be completed to have it entered.

The complainant stated on July 1, at approximately 1500-1600 hours, her aide pushed her in the back. The complainant’s elbow struck the stove, and she injured her hand holding onto the counter. The aide works for a nationwide company. The aide reported it with them on July 1. The complainant stated her aide was upset due to her hours being cut. In addition, her aide was upset when the complainant asked her for a receipt and change from items she purchased. The complainant went to the hospital for the pain in her elbow and was provided pain medication. The information is on file.

A female advised she received an Amazon package that was not tampered with. She advised that only one item was in the box when it was supposed to have six total items in the box per Amazon. The missing items were two boxes of “baggies”, two compasses, and one telescope all valued at $210. The female was given the CAD number and advised to follow up with Amazon since it is a civil issue.

Officers spoke with the complainant in the lobby who states he recently discovered that his ex-girlfriend, whom he lived with in 2021, opened an account in the complainant’s name without the complainant’s permission, and now the complainant is being billed by the companies. The complainant states he received a bill from First Energy for $2,000, and a bill from Dominion Gas for $4,000. The complainant states that he has already been in contact with the companies’ fraud departments who both requested a police report generated. The complainant was provided a report number and advised to contact his credit bureau.

An officer spoke with the complainant in the lobby. He stated that his son-in-law has made statements on several occasions that he is going to shoot him. He advised that the listed male has within the past few years had mental issues, and the complainant believes him to possibly have schizophrenia. The complainant advised that a lot of the messages he receives from the son-in-law are made without reason. The complainant was advised to have the subject’s mother reach out to probate court in order to have him probated for a mental evaluation.

The caller states that while she was in the BMV for 15 minutes, someone hit her Dodge Charger on the rear driver’s side. An officer responded, photos were taken, but they were unable to upload them at this time. There were no cameras available in the location of the vehicle. There were obvious black markings on the rear driver’s side bumper.

Broadway Avenue (Auto World Mitsubishi)
An employee says that about 20 minutes ago, someone stole a black Mitsubishi Eclipse SUV from the car lot. There is no description of the suspect, no direction of travel and the vehicle was running with keys inside. There’s also no plate on the vehicle. The caller was able to obtain a license plate for the suspect’s vehicle that the car thief arrived in. The car was entered ‘stolen’ by Euclid Police on this date.

An officer spoke to the manager at Family Dollar who stated that a male wearing all red with a mask covering his mouth, stole a bunch of items. The manager states that he first tried to walk out with the grocery cart full of stuff, but got stopped at the door due to the cart having a tall pole on it. He then ended up putting things in a carry out basket and walked away with an unknown amount of items. The manager states that she does not know exactly what was stolen or how much it was valued, but just wanted to make it a matter of record.

A dumpster is on fire. There are no vehicles near it. An officer is out with the male that started the fire. The male was issued a summons for arson.

An employee states a female got a cart full of items and ran out the store. This happened 15 minutes ago, and the employee is not sure if she was in a car or on foot.

The caller states her neighbor came over to her house and pulled a gun on her husband. The neighbor went back to his house. The caller states she does not know where her husband is at now. They were arguing about parking. Residents were able to provide Ring doorbell evidence of the neighbor coming onto their property and brandishing a firearm. The neighbor let officers see the replica BB gun. The neighbors did not wish to pursue charges but were given statement forms to fill out if they decide to file charges in the future. The neighbor was advised to stay on his own property and contact police if he has any complaints.

The caller states he is an employee at Fit Circuit and there is an SUV that is circling the lot. The caller does not need to speak to officers if the vehicle is not there. The lots were checked, and the SUV was gone upon arrival of police

The caller stated that a male pulled himself out and was peeing in the street. The caller stated that there were kids in the area as well. The male was last seen walking down Talbot towards Marion Drive. The officers located the male, and he was given a verbal warning on urinating in public.

Center Street (Burger King)
An officer located the male juvenile walking away from Burger King on Columbus Road. Upon making contact with the male, the officer immediately observed a folded knife in his front waistband. The officer quickly grabbed the juvenile’s hand and removed the knife from him. The juvenile would not tell officers what his name was and said he was 14-years-old. He then said 16-years-old. The officers also located an open bottle of liquor in the juvenile’s possession. The male eventually stated what his name was. Since he did not have any kind of ID, a contact card was completed. The Burger King management does not want the male juvenile to return to the property. He was advised of trespass and underage possession and/or consumption of alcohol. An officer spoke with the juvenile’s mother and told her about the contact officers had with her son. The mother admitted to buying her son liquor and asked why the officers took her son’s knife. She was told if she wants the knife, a parent or guardian would have to respond to the department. The knife was placed into the property.

The caller states a female, who she doesn’t know, will not leave. The caller said she just got back from Michigan, and the female is now in the driveway in a white vehicle. The caller states that the female was visiting her boyfriend. The female has left, but if the female returns, the caller said she is going to get pepper-sprayed.
