The incident occurred on March 30 at the Libby Gas Station, leading to Evans being rushed to MetroHealth Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have characterized the shooting as an isolated incident with a single shooter, who fled the scene after the attack. It has been noted that Evans was identified as the suspect in an assault case in February and was reported to be facing felonious charges.
