Caller advised a male to the left of his residence was making threats of physical harm. There were no weapons seen. The caller can no longer see him. The male was wearing beige pants and a black jacket. The officer spoke with both parties involved. They had conflicting stories about what happened. They were advised to stay away from each other. Both subjects said they would comply.

Shoplifter attempted to steal Gain laundry soap. The male was wearing all black and left 10 minutes ago in an unknown direction of travel. The manager has male on video. The manager stated that the male and female that attempted to steal the laundry soap have stolen from the store in the past. The district manager stated that the same two are hitting all of the Family Dollar stores in the area on a regular basis. They leave in a silver Cadillac that is driven by an unknown third party. The manager was advised to call if they should return.

Male just kicked in the door and is damaging a car in the driveway. Female is out of the house running, and she is trying to get away from the male. Male is the female’s son. Officer’s spoke with both parties involved. Male was transported to the Bedford Medical Center for a mental evaluation. Mom did not want to press charges at this time.

Caller is requesting assistance in retrieving her 4-year-old son from her ex-husband. His visitation ended this morning. He is refusing to return the child, and the mother does have paperwork with her. Officers spoke with both parties involved, and they were given options.

Female reports theft of a purse out of her grocery cart. She is just outside the store waiting for police. They checked the video. She did take her purse to the vehicle. The purse may be at her home.

Caller says her 14-year-old grandson has been having trouble with another boy who is sending harassing and threatening messages to him, and who has started relaying threats to her as well. Officers spoke to the complainant over the phone to address the threats issue. Her grandson had an altercation with a boy last year at Heskett Middle School. She has since removed her son from the school and the problems stopped. Recently, they have been going back and forth on Instagram and allegedly got into an altercation yesterday. She would not provide information for the other juvenile, and did not know the identity of the male juvenile who was sending the vague threats on Instagram. Officers advised them to cease any contact with the other parties on Instagram and if they show up, to call police.

Officers responded to Circle K for a report of shoplifting in progress. Officers spoke to store employees who stated a male in the store took a couple of sandwiches without paying. Employees did not wish to pursue theft charges. The male was advised of trespass from Circle K and sent on his way.

Officer spoke with a male in the lobby for a report of a theft. The male stated as he was checking his credit report, he observed a charge of $2,207 for “acceptance now” in October 2018 and an additional charge for utilities worth $248.00. The male stated he was unaware of this and had no idea why those charges would be on his credit report. His credit report showed multiple inquiries which he was also unaware of. The male just wanted a police report made so his credit agency could further investigate.

A male went to the house to lock the door and found a book bag, marijuana papers and food. Caller has not been through the whole house. He just saw the items and left. The caller is sitting in a vehicle in the driveway. The male did not see anyone, but two days ago, when he was there, the items were not there. The male has not seen anyone come out of the home. The caller does not know how they got in. He went in through the back door. Officer said the male pulled the door when he left. He needs to call the real estate agent for the lockbox code. No signs of forced entry. The complainant is unable to get the code for the lock box. He was advised to call if the agent returns to let officers in. Complainant called back and advised that he had the lock box code. Officers returned and checked the residence. House was vacant but a black backpack with numerous papers and food were located in a front bedroom. No information in the bag. The complainant advised that he will place the items outside for the present time in case the person returns. The residence was locked.

The caller stated that someone stole money from the back office. The complainant advised that on the previous day, an unauthorized person opened the unlocked office door and took $931 from the desk. The incident was captured on the store security video. Information will be forwarded to the detective bureau. The business is insured.

Caller would like to speak with an officer about Instagram messages her 12-year-old son received. The other juvenile is threatening him with a gun. The caller said her son showed her a picture posted on his Instagram account. She was able to obtain the juvenile suspect’s phone number and spoke with the suspect’s mother. The suspect’s mother did not give her name or her son’s name. The caller told the mother about the incident and the suspect’s mother said she believed the gun was a BB gun. Officer called the suspect’s phone number and left a voicemail for her to contact the police department.

Female recently filed for divorce and her husband sent an email stating he was going to kill her. She is in the lobby of the police department to file a report. She stated he does not live with her and he has no belongings at her apartment. She recently found out he has had several relationships with other women. The two were married last fall. She stated he claims his tires were slashed at his father’s house in Cleveland, and he is blaming her. He sent her an email stating that he will to do more than just beat her if she messes with him. She wanted this info documented and will call if he arrives at her apartment. He does not have her cell number.

Officers spoke to the complainant who stated that in January he traded in a Dodge for a Lexus. The male stated the dealership recently said he had defaulted on his payments and took the vehicle back. The male states the dealership lied on their paperwork and about the loan and “stole” the vehicle. The male was advised this was a civil financial matter. However, officers will attempt to follow up with the dealership about the situation. The next day, officers returned the car and the male wanted to be advised if he was allowed to go take his car back. Also, the male stated that he wants to go get property from the vehicle and that he left $5,000 inside of it. The male was advised multiple times that the police department cannot grant him permission to retrieve his vehicle or the belongings inside of it and to do so, he will have to contact the business. Furthermore, the male states the owner of the business is a part of the mafia and he was “forced” to trade in his vehicle. Also, he said the “manager of this business is threatening to “cut off his head and chop off legs.” The male states that he does not have any proof of the threats.

Officers spoke to a female complainant who explained her boyfriend had a verbal argument with another male at the apartment complex over a parking spot. The female stated when her boyfriend went to the male’s apartment to talk about the parking, he answered the door with a gun on his hip. No threats were made. The calling party was advised of the Second Amendment and to contact management about parking. The male who had his firearm on him was advised to not escalate situations while carrying.

A male and female, both former employees, possibly stole two fountain drinks from the store. Video shows male holding two large fountain drink cups and exiting the store without approaching the counter to pay. At that time the female is at the counter paying for items. Contact was made with the female at her residence who stated she paid for a Black & Mild, a water and the two cups the male had which were full of ice. Employees were advised to contact the district manager who will decide if charges are to be filed, make a copy of cameras for review and to obtain the transaction receipt to see what was actually paid for.

Officers spoke to the female who stated person(s) unknown stole her temporary tag. The female states she doesn’t think it fell off because it was screwed on to her license plate frame. Also, the female states she has had problems with her neighbors because of parking, but she does not know if they took it. The female states her neighbor has a Ring doorbell camera that faces her car and will check her neighbors camera to make sure there was no foul play.

An officer was patrolling behind Cee Ray Motel parking lot and came across an occupied vehicle in the parking lot. The registered vehicle owner was EWW out of Portage County. The officer spoke to her, and she was advised of her warrant.

Male reported his son’s mother keeps circling the block. The female is driving a Dodge. The female damaged his front door and his mailbox. She threw his mail all over the yard. Officers responded and spoke with the complainant for a report of an unwanted guest. The complainant stated that his ex-girlfriend came to his residence and was very irate for no apparent reason. An officer contacted the female who stated she was just trying to get her son’s bookbag and did not do anything to his mail or door.

Caller states a vehicle is parked legally; however, advised it has been parked there overnight and she finds this suspicious. Another neighbor advised the caller yesterday that she witnessed a pregnant female with a young child park the car and left in another vehicle.

Resident says an older heavyset male, wearing a flannel overshirt and operating a Chevy pulled into the driveway and came to the door to deliver two pandemic flu preparedness kits. The kit is labeled from the Department of Defense and contains two respirators, hand sanitizer and some other items — all sealed. He left and headed toward the railroad tracks about 20 minutes ago. An officer spoke with the caller on the phone. The caller stated that after he contacted the police he used Lysol to completely spray the packages down. The caller then felt it was safe to open the packages. The caller then discovered that the person who dropped off the packages was none other than his neighbor. The caller expressed his apology for rushing to such a panicked state and for calling the police.

Officer spoke with the resident in the unit from where the noise was coming. There had been children jumping around. They are now in bed for the night.
