The caller is on station to speak with an officer about threats taking place in Bedford. The caller did not have an address. He advised it is occurring in Bedford though. After speaking with the male, it was determined the issue is occurring in Bedford Heights.

The complainant is on station. She stated her boyfriend pulled a knife on her. She said he cut her hand and pulled her hair in front of the high school. She declined a squad. After speaking with the victim, it was determined the assault happened in the parking lot of the Northfield Park Apartments. At approximately 1515 hours, the victim met her ex-boyfriend and father of her child in the parking lot of the apartment so he could get his clothes from her.  While the victim was sitting in the driver seat of her vehicle, the male pulled her hair, which was in a ponytail, and then cut her right palm with an unknown object. The victim received a small cut as a result of the assault. The victim’s and suspect’s child was inside the car in a car seat at the time of the incident.

The caller’s child’s mother was there threatening to blow his head off. The kids were inside with Grandma. The complainant stated that he does not want the mother of his children to return to the residence. Officers contacted the female involved. She stated that she was just trying to check on the welfare of her children since the complainant’s grandmother has blocked her calls. She stated she was upset but claims the male was making threats toward her also. She was advised not to return and was given advice regarding Children and Family Services and Juvenile Court to assist with custody exchanges and related issues.

The complainant stated she is being harassed by another female. The harassment is via Instagram. This is an ongoing situation. The complainant was advised not to have any contact with the other female anymore. An officer contacted the other female via the phone, and she was advised not to contact the complainant anymore. She stated she will comply. Both parties are accusing each other of harassment.

Officers responded to the residence for a report of a female complainant being threatened by her female neighbor. The complainant advised her female neighbor across the street has been making threats of physical bodily harm toward her. The complainant advised this is an ongoing issue. The complainant then went to retrieve her identification, and during this time, her mother, who she resides with, advised the complainant is suffering from mental health issues. Officers spoke with the female neighbor who advised she has spoken with the mother regarding the issues and that she is not threatening the complainant. At this time, all parties were advised to keep the peace and to contact the police if the issues continue. The mother of the complainant advised she is attempting to gain guardianship of the complainant due to her mental state.

The caller advised that he came home and three of his firearms were stolen. He believes that another male took his firearms because the other male has been having issues with the caller’s sister-in-law. The male was not supposed to be in the home.

The complainant stated approximately 30 minutes ago, her ex-boyfriend was at her apartment when the two began arguing over relationship issues. The complainant stated she told the male to leave, which resulted in him wrestling her phone away from her. The female did not have any apparent injuries and requested the information be documented. The female did get her phone back when she told the male she was going to the police department. She was advised on how to obtain a civil protection order.

The complainant stated that her 27-year-old brother came into her bedroom and woke her and her daughter up. They argued, and when they went outside, he threw a plastic gas can at her. No injuries were observed. The female was advised of her options.

Northfield Road (Giant Eagle)
An officer spoke with the owner of the vehicle that was struck and spoke to witnesses in the area. They advised that while the vehicle owner was in Giant Eagle, a possible SUV attempted to pull into the lot next to the listed vehicle and struck it on the driver’s side door causing heavy damage to the area. Photos were taken of the damage, and the owner was given a report number for his records. The officer attempted to locate a possible vehicle on Flock but was unable to observe any vehicle matching the description given. The owner was advised to contact his insurance company regarding the incident.

A female wanted to report that a male grabbed her by the arms while attempting to remove her from the apartment. The female does not have any visible injuries and just wanted this documented. The male also responded to the station and stated that the female is lying to get him in trouble. Both parties are moving out of the apartment on the 29th and were advised to keep the peace until then. The male and female are not dating and do not share children together.

The caller states that a male threw the caller’s clothes down the stairs.  The caller admits to having been drinking for the last three days and says she doesn’t know what is going on, but her car is missing. The caller was highly intoxicated, and the male was gone by the time the police arrived.

Northfield Road (Family Dollar)
Officers responded to Family Dollar for a report of shoplifting. The caller, who is security for the store, advised that around 1950 hours, a heavy-set male wearing a tan hat, blue sweatshirt and gray or black shorts stole a hair dryer, a hair straightener and a flat iron. The caller stated the male left on foot with the items in a clear bag towards Taft Avenue. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate the male. Employees at Family Dollar were unable to provide video of the male taking the items. The total amount of theft was approximately $62.75. The caller contacted his manager who stated she would sign charges for the theft and wants the male trespassed if he were to return and is able to be identified.

A vehicle was stolen at gunpoint by a male who was reportedly about 23 years old. A witness was sitting across the street, and she noticed someone in an SUV shoot at a male that was at this location. The victim is a male in an orange shirt. The witness does not want to give her information. Officers confirmed there was an attempted robbery, and the suspect did try and shoot the male.  Other police departments were advised.

The caller states she was at home on Helper Drive, and she was beaten up by a male. The female was afraid so she left and is now staying at the motel. She was asking if an officer can please come to see her at the motel. The female complainant advised while standing inside the listed residence on the stairs, her husband struck her with his hand in the lip and in the stomach. The female also advised her juvenile son is staying with her husband at her listed address, and she does not believe the son is in any physical danger at this time. The female stated she did not want to pursue any criminal charges at this time but would like her husband to leave the residence. The female did not have any visible injury to her stomach or lip. The female did advise her lip is red from the incident. The female’s person was photographed. At this time, the female was provided with a witness statement to return to the police department, and she was advised on how to obtain a civil protection order. The female was also advised of the eviction laws.

The caller stated there is a female stalking her and approaching her vehicle. The caller was in a relationship with the female previously. The female has a CCW, but the caller didn’t see any weapons. The female saw the caller on the phone and is leaving.

The caller stated that someone attempted to break into his home at 0400 hours and he didn’t realize it until he saw the video of it this morning. The complainant’s video shows a male either knocking or attempting to open the front door. The suspect did not attempt to force entry into the home. The complainant was able to send a copy of the video to the police.

The caller advised a security officer busted her friend’s noise and punched her in her mouth. The caller advised her friend is a 43-year-old female. The caller and the friend will be parked in front of the bar in a car.  Officers spoke to the female who stated that she was having a normal conversation with a security guard and he “randomly” struck her in the face with a closed fist causing a bump on her head. The female requested the squad but became very uncooperative with the squad and officers, and she refused to do anymore and stated “I’ll be back and handle this tonight.” The female was given statement forms by officers and was told to return to the station in the morning to turn them in. Officers spoke to the security guard who stated that he was sitting down eating when the female came up to him and demanded his chair. When security said no, the female became irate and started striking the male. She was then kicked out of the bar. The bar owner refused to give officers video of the incident. The female left for the night and the bar owner advised he will call back if she returns.

The caller stated in June that she hired a male to paint the interior of the Broadway store. She and the male had a disagreement about the cost of the job and completing it. The male does have a key to the business. She is changing the locks on the doors. She was given advice regarding the civil issue. She then stated she noticed a commercial paint sprayer missing from the business. The sprayer is owned by her son-in-law. She will advise him to come in and report the sprayer stolen. She believes this theft happened between 6-16-23 and 7-2-23.

Officers responded to the area for a report of a female and male being involved in a physical altercation in the driveway of the residence. At this time, no parties involved were located.

Officers spoke with the complainant in the lobby who states that on 7-3-23, at approximately 0100 hours, he struck several potholes causing disabling damage to his vehicle. The complainant states that he was traveling east on Rockside Road and turned south onto Broadway Avenue where he struck the first pothole that was in the intersection. The second pothole, as stated by the complainant, was in the intersection of Broadway and Ellenwood. Officers never observed the vehicle or the damage, and photos attached were supplied by the complainant. The date of incident and location provided by the complainant would imply that he was traveling through a marked construction zone.

A male reported sometime between 4-22-2023 and time of call, a person(s) unknown gained access to his storage unit and took four rims valued at approximately $1000. Officers will follow up with the manager on to get video and a list of employees with access to that unit.

Officers spoke with the complainant in the lobby stating that his ex-wife, whom he has been separated from for approximately a year, has a handgun and a shotgun belonging to him in her home that she will not return to him. The complainant could not provide any of the weapons’ info, or receipts proving his ownership. Officers spoke with the female at that address who stated that she is unaware of any weapons in the home and only communicates with the complainant through email due to separation issues and court order. The female states the complainant is constantly harassing her, and the two have been in court in the past week for issues. The officers contacted the complainant who gave what he advised was the locations he left the firearms. The female asked if officers would check and remove the weapons from the home due to children and her past record. Officers checked the areas given with negative results.

A young female is walking down the street with a big knife, walking towards Northfield Road. The female is about 13-15 years old. She is wearing a blue t-shirt with a pink and white stripe on the sleeve and black flip flops. The caller has never seen this female before. A landscaper and business owner in the area did not see the young female.

A female took items earlier and ran across to the Sunoco gas station. The officer is out with the female and will identify her. The manager wants to trespass her. The officer will be returning the property. The subject was trespassed from this location, and all of the items were returned.

The complainant stated her son is a lifeguard at the pool, and his bluetooth speaker and his bike seat were stolen today. The complainant stated that she thinks it was the group of juveniles that have been causing issues at the pool all day long, but she has no proof. She just wanted to make it a matter of record. Later, the complainant came in to advise that she recovered the seat to her son’s bike near the pool. The blue tooth speaker is still missing. She stated her son received a text from an “unnamed witness” where he could recover his bike seat.

A male is at Glendale at the train tracks. A female had been hitting the male with a knife. The male does have lacerations from the knife. The caller doesn’t know where the knife is. The officer advised the male had a very minor cut on his left wrist. He refused transportation and had his wrist bandaged up. He stated his live-in girlfriend and he had an argument today about another female. He stated he left the home walking towards the tracks and he was followed by his girlfriend. He stated she had a knife and attempted to approach him with it. He stated he then attempted to take it from her and that is when he was cut. The neighbor stated she never saw the female outside. The female stated she did not have a knife at all and did not go outside after him. She stated he has a history of cutting himself. The male was not to return if he feels there will be future problems.  She was advised to have him evicted from the property. She was aware of what she needed to do. She was advised to call us if he returns, and there is a problem.

The male returned, and the caller hears screaming. The kids left the house. The male is inside the home, and the kids are on the front porch of a neighbor. The female is inside with the male. The male was taken into custody for domestic violence.

The caller stated sometime between 07-10-23 and time of report, an unknown person(s) broke the rear driver’s side window out of a Kia Soul. The person(s) also peeled the column in an attempt to steal the vehicle. There is nothing to process at this time due to employees already entering the vehicle. They will check cameras to see if the culprit was seen on video.

The male caller was staying at the hotel with his wife and became upset when his girlfriend arrived. The girlfriend wanted back the phone she bought for him. The male was further upset that the girlfriend shut off service to the phone that she pays for. She is in her vehicle drinking and the caller states she is known to carry a gun. The caller is calling from an extra phone number. The male and girlfriend were advised this is a civil issue and officers could do nothing further. The girlfriend left the area. Management advised the male frequents the motel with the girlfriend but they have never observed his wife before.

The caller is at the station to report at approximately 0130 hours on 7-13-23, while pumping gas, he was approached by a male. The unknown male was in a silver SUV with a temporary tag. The male asked the caller why he was there, and if he was looking for his women. He responded no he was just getting gas. The male then showed a gun to him and the caller drove away. He stated the male then followed him around for a few minutes. He drove to Maple Heights police and was advised he needed to come to Bedford for the report. He will advise us if he has any more contact with this male. He stated he has never seen this male before and believes he made a mistake in identifying him as the one looking for his girlfriend.

The caller states that there are a male and female on the scene soliciting gas and electric services. The female was wearing a red hoodie and male was wearing a baseball cap. An officer responded to the area and spoke to the complainant who stated the parties left in a black SUV prior to officer arrival. He was advised to call if they returned.

Officers spoke to the caller who stated her 15-year-old son broke into her room to steal the keys to his brother’s car. She states that every door in the house has a deadbolt because her son steals things in the house. She stated her son went outside the house and broke into her bedroom to be able to obtain the keys. The son with the vehicle stolen is out of the country as of now, and the mother states that she does not want to call him to let him know of the situation because she does not want to ruin his vacation. The caller states she will wait and hope that the son brings the vehicle home. He did return later.

The caller advised that she observed a male in his late 20s, in a dark blue Hyundai, speed through the light and go to the Bedford Reservation. He opened the side door and took something into the woods and sped away. Officers walked in the area where the complainant advised the male went. Officer located a clear box with a firearm, mags, and a spent casing. The property was placed into evidence. Witnesses from the area dropped off statements at the station.

A male is walking through tree lawns heading towards Columbus Road. He is currently digging in a tree lawn with his hands. The caller is concerned that he is on drugs due to the odd behavior. Officers checked all local business and residential areas. The male was gone when the police arrived.

There are people sleeping in a vehicle near the maintenance shed. It is unknown how many people since the windows are tinted. This vehicle has been an issue for a few days. Yesterday, the person told police they were just waiting on someone, but the caller doesn’t think that is the case. It appears they are living in the car and parking here. Officers located a male sleeping in the van, which was parked in the parking lot in a handicap spot. After waking him up, he said that he is currently staying with his cousin and fell asleep when he came home late. An officer spoke with the resident and they did state the male is currently staying with him. The officers advised he had a warrant with Richmond Heights Police. Richmond Heights police said the warrant was good, but to advise and release. The male was told to move from the handicap spot and take care of his warrant.

Officers responded to the parking lot of the business for a report of suspicion reported by Oakwood Village Police. Oakwood Village police advised they were flagged down by a person waiting for the bus who advised the female inside the listed vehicle was sitting parked for over an hour. Officers observed the female driver to be asleep in the driver’s seat, with the vehicle in drive, and to have suspected marijuana sitting on her lap. Officers were able to put the vehicle in park and wake the female. The female advised she was on break from her employment, and while sitting in the parking lot, she fell asleep due to working long hours. A search of the vehicle was conducted and a small amount of suspected marijuana was located. The female advised she was medically OK and did not wish to be seen by EMS. The female agreed to legally park her vehicle, which permission was given by the business employee, and to get a ride back to work from an officer. The female was advised marijuana possession. The suspected marijuana was entered into property to be destroyed. No further police action required.

An employee is advising that there are two female juveniles that are refusing to leave. They were caught shoplifting. The management does not want them prosecuted for shoplifting but just removed from the store. Two female officers spoke with another male who attempted to steal a large candy bar. When confronted, he put it back and left.

An officer spoke with a tow truck driver who advised two males were upset with him while he was towing their vehicle. The driver advised he released the vehicle to the males after they paid the drop fee. He also advised one of the males attempted to enter the tow truck, but after the driver contacted the police, the males left. The officer checked the area and the described males were gone. The tow truck driver was advised to contact the police if the males are seen again.

The caller is concerned they are looking for him since he was released from jail no too long ago. The caller states he does not know who this could be. He would like to speak with officers and have this on record just in case something happens.
